Auditions for the August Production at TES
Babies Having Babies

Auditions: Saturday, June 7, 11:00-12:45am; Sunday, June 8, 12:00-4pm
Performances: August 29, 30 and September 5, 6 at 8pm;
                             August 31 at 4pm with a Baby Shower and Resource Fair at 2pm

CHARACTERS
LISA: The over-achieving journalist, she starts out and ends as the narrator. A quiet intensity and attention to detail. 17 years old.

MAX (MAXINE): The tough outsider, very sarcastic. Aggressive. One gets a sense that she's hiding something; protecting herself in some way. Thrift store chic, speaks her own mind. 16 years old.

MARY PAT: Catholic, Very reserved. The "Chubby" girl in school with glasses. Plain. She's going to give her baby up for adoption- abortion isn't an option. 16 years old, eight months pregnant.

KELLY: all-American cheerleader, attractive. Stand-offish. "A real model teenager." 17 years old.

BRENDA: Black girl from low income family, seven months pregnant. Her mother got pregnant at a young age as well. Is being "kicked" out of school, because her pregnancy is a disruption. 14 years old.

HENRY: Older, unshaven man. The Center's custodian, takes his job seriously. Crotchety.

MRS. CHAPMAN: middle-aged pregnancy counselor; over worked. Volunteers her time to a good cause, stretched far too thin.

DELIVERY BOY: 17-year-old pizza delivery hotshot.
