Girl Scouts-Joshua Tree Council is ready to fill the long days of summer with fun and excitement. This year the Summer Options Program, running from June through August, offers over fifty activities in addition to summer camps and a new shake, rattle and roll troop for girls interested in investigating natural disasters.
Every option will enrich girls’ lives through active and fun filled learning environments while instilling life skills that will enable them to become courageous, confident, and character driven young women.
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls, therefore, the majority of the options offered are for girls only. However, a number of options are available that the whole family can enjoy. Activities scheduled for this summer include- Play it in “G” Guitar Lessons, Boogie Nights Dance, Lighten Up-Build Your Own Telescope, River Rafting and Photography 101.
In July, Camp High Adventure features lake kayaking, low ropes, horseback riding and hiking while in August Camp Rock Around the Clock features archery, high ropes, and zip lining.
Space is limited in each of the available Summer Options. All girls are encouraged to preview the options brochure and register as quickly as possible.
Please call 661-327-1409 for more information about the Girl Scouts – Joshua Tree Council Summer Options Program and request a brochure containing a full list of activities available.
