Kittens Galore! Look what the workers at the Bakersfield SPCA found while opening one morning. 28 kittens packed into a box and dumped at the door. Kitten season is here and all cat agencies are being overwhelmed with the multitude of abandoned and stray cats and kittens. Please adopt a kitten to help reduce the overpopulation of abandonded animals. Remember each pet adopted at the SPCA is spay/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and Lekumia tested prior to adoption. Please have your pets spay or neutered!
Bakersfield SPCA, 3000 Gibson St., 323-8353, www.bakersfieldspca.org. Open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon.-Wed. and Fri.-Sat. or noon to 6:30 p.m. Thurs.
