The Kern County Network for Children (KCNC), operated by the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office, has moved its office location from 2000 K Street to 1212 18th Street in Bakersfield. Under the supervision of Director Tom Corson, KCNC works with neighborhood collaboratives to solve daily issues families face such as safety, health, and economic development. KCNC is the county’s administrative agent for Foster Youth Services, serving the educational, psychological, medical and transitional needs of participating group home children, while ensuring educational rights of dependents and wards in foster care. The Get Moving Kern: Healthy Eating and Active Learning program, administered by KCNC, offers strategies geared toward reducing obesity in Kern County.

For more information, please contact Corson at (661) 636-4480.
