Plumbing problem shut down CALM for Saturday morning and afternoon.
Work was under way to repair a plumbing problem at the California Living
Museum so the zoo could reopen in time for the Twilight at CALM visitors
on Saturday (7/19) evening. The problem was discovered Saturday morning
and interrupted water flows used for toilets and drinking water which
required staff shut the facility down in the morning and afternoon.
We apologize to our many friends and visitors who support CALM
throughout the year,” said Lana Fain, CALM manager, “but we are
happy that the repairs will be completed in time for Twilight at CALM
which begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues until 8:30 p.m. every Saturday
through Aug. 30.”
