Airstreams LLC recently closed escrow on 33.25 acres located on the corner of Jameson Road and Tehachapi-Willowsprings Road in Tehachapi to develop a renewable energy industrial complex. The development will provide an anchor for Airstreams expanding businesses, including a state of the art Renewable Energy Training Center while providing a campus like setting for other renewable companies to lease and take advantage of the low carbon energy footprint that is being promoted by the states new Green Energy Initiative.
“Each of our buildings will be a power plant,” said Airstreams Vice President Jeff Duff. "This is an exciting time for our company and the renewable energy industry. We look forward to offering the industry advanced renewable energy technical training in a state of the art facility and providing commercial space that will be a model for energy conservation for the expanding Tehachapi area.”
Airstreams is a privately owned wind energy firm specializing in technical consulting and training. Since 2003, Airstreams has continued to establish itself as one of the most specialized firms of its kind in North America. Airstreams was recently awarded a three year contract to supply technical and training services to the Los Angles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) on its 120 MW wind farm in the Pine Tree Canyon in Eastern Kern County.
