For fishermen, Opening Day is a highlight of the year. Rainbows, Browns as well as the famous trophy-sized Alpers Trout are stocked in the many lakes and streams in and around the Mammoth Lakes area. There is great boat fishing, fly-fishing, shore fishing and float tubing. The fishing season runs through November 15th.
