Ghosts, goblins and other Halloween kiddos — the California Living Museum’s (CALM) Boo-at-the-Zoo is the place to be on Oct. 25, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. One big reason is those age 17 or younger will be admitted free for all the bewitchingly new and improved games, crafts and treats! CALM members also receive free admission.
CALM’s animals never miss an opportunity such as this. Expect some pretty exciting colors from the zoo’s natural gardens with the seasons changing. A wildlife presentation and animal encounters will be added treats. There are no tricks when it comes to saving you money — trolley rides and the Bounce House are only $1 each. Boo-at-the-Zoo is just a safe, kid-friendly way of trick-or-treating that is enjoyable for all.
“Last year, more than 1,600 visitors joined us for Boo-at-the-Zoo, and it was fabulous,” said Lana Fain, zoo manager. “We hope to have more little goblins share the day with us this year. This is a fun, family event, and we add educational value, too.”
CALM, located at 10500 Alfred Harrell Highway, between Lake Ming and Hart Park, has cared for animals that have been injured or otherwise cannot survive in their native environment for 25 years. For more information, call (661) 872-2256 or visit the Web site, http://www.calmzoo.org.
