         Tickets for the Kern County Museum’s 25th annual Safe Halloween on Oct. 30 and 31 are on sale at the museum, 3801 Chester Ave., in Bakersfield, branches of the Kern Schools Federal Credit Union and online through http://vallitix.rdln.com. Event times for both nights are 5:30-9 p.m. Admission is $8 for children ages 3-12 and adults with trick-or-treating reserved for just the children. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

            A project of the nonprofit Kern County Museum Foundation, Safe Halloween is Kern County’s premier trick-or-treat experience in a family environment. Sponsors include Kern Family Health Care, Diane S. Lake Family, KERO TV23 and Azteca America Kern County 42 and Groove 99.3 FM. Among the fun for children will be over 30 local service club and business operated trick-or-treat stations, a carnival, costume contest, food and beverages.

            Approximately 4,400 children and parents have taken part each night for the past 24 years.
