The Mendiburu Magic Foundation will host an exciting week filled with awards, community recognition, live music, silent/live auction, and wonderful dinner catered by The Pantry and Wool Growers.
The week will start with the 3rd Annual Nancy Ann Mendiburu Compassion Awards Benefit at the Wool Growers Restaurant on Tuesday: October 21, 2008 @ 6:00pm. The dinner will be hosted by Mendiburu Magic Foundation Founder/President, Brian Mendiburu and the Honorable Bakersfield Mayor, Harvey Hall. The benefit will honor local community contributors that have worked tirelessly to support positive youth development and cancer research for Kern County children & families, in memory of Nancy Ann Mendiburu. Some award recipients will include Mayie Maitia, Fr. Craig Harrison, William Rector, and Ron Fraze.
The fun-filled week will conclude with the 3rd Annual Pyrenees-Fiesta at 6:30pm on Saturday: October 25, 2008 at the Bakersfield Fire Fighter's Hall on Wible Road. The unique cross-cultural experience will be sensational; and join the Hispanic and Basque cultures of our area and include live music by Thee Majestics and Red Shoe Productions and dinner catered by The Pantry and Wool Growers. Dessert will be provided by Champs BBQ, Dreyer's Ice Cream, and La Rosa Frozen Fruit Bars. The evening will also include a stunning silent and live auction with the emcee Ian Gotler heading things for the event.
