Yesterday (Tuesday) as I was leaving work I could see heavy billowing smoke starting the blacken the sky, so we (my wife and I) drove to the location, just a few blocks away and the fire trucks were just pulling up.

I had just got a new camera and I wanted to get some pictures but I got so tied up in watching the firemen work that I only took a few pictures. To watch these men at work is truly amazing. They seem to have a special communication system because they did not seem to be talking. They were just going about their job of knocking down the fire, and that they did. It was all over in a matter of what seemed like just minutes. We know that firemen save lives, but they also save the house or business next door. This fire was in very close quarters and they kept it from becoming a catastrophe. I can not say enough about how great our firemen (our heroes) are.
