After reading the "When to Quit the Road" article in today's Eye Street, I couldn't help but think that I could come up with a better list of ten signs to indicate to an elderly driver that he or she might be losing it.

10. You stop at a stop sign and forget to go again.
9. Your car's license plate has only six digits, and you were the original owner.
8. You are constantly being passed by big rigs on two lane roads.
7. You decide not to leave home on rainy days because you "just washed the car".
6. You stop on green lights at camera-controlled intersections "just in case" the light should turn red before you are able to stop.
5. You are concerned about whether the new cell phone driving laws apply to your LifeAlert™ emergency system.
4. You often find yourself mistakenly yielding to parked cars.
3. You always make sure you have a designated driver,  even though you don't drink.
2. On your third rotation around Garces Circle, you realize you've forgotten which direction you wanted to go.
1. You stop for all the crossing guards, but only because you enjoy the chance to catch up with your buddies from the bingo hall.
