Dear Community Member,
In recent years the Bakersfield College Drumline has entertained football fans and proudly represented the college at various events in our community. As the drumline continues to generate more and more excitement, there is a growing group of dedicated students like me that are interested in taking the drumline to the next level.
Unfortunately, in these tough economic times Bakersfield College doesn't have the budget to invest in the types of instruments needed to expand the drumline. This is why we need your help! By contributing to the BC Drumline, you can put instruments in the hands of motivated students and help to offset the cost of ongoing equipment repairs.
In order to strengthen the program, the most immediate goal is to expand the drumline to include marimbas, vibraphones, and other keyboard instruments. We need to raise about $15,000 to make this happen, but even a donation of less than $1000 would bring us closer to our goal of providing quality instruments for our drumline and many other students for years to come.
As we begin to reach out for support we are looking for community partners to team up with. Perhaps you have an idea for a unique performance opportunity, or maybe you could provide a resource that would be helpful to our program. No matter where you see your organization fitting in, we'd love to hear from you!
Tax deductible donations can be made payable to the Bakersfield College Foundation along with a note stating that you want your gift to go to the BC Drumline:

Whether you're able to donate or not, we thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read about the BC Drumline. We look forward to hearing from you in the future!
Sincerely,
Bakersfield College Drumline
