Divorce Care for Kids program for children ages 6-12 will meet at Olive Knolls Church each Wednesday from 6:45-8:15. The 13 week program starts January 14th.
Children who are experiencing divorce feel alone and helpless, scared, sad, and confused. They may hide their feelings from you because they are worried about your happiness or because they do not know how to express their feelings appropriately.
DC4K is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. We combine games, crafts, activities, music, and DVD dramas to create a fun atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted. Topics include learning about what's happening to my family; facing my anger; how to deal with sadness; dealing with loneliness, talking to my parents;and moving on, growing up and growing closer to God.
Divorce Care for adults is offered at the same time for those who are interested.
Price: $15 for first child, $10 for each additional child
