Have a Heart for abused and neglected children, Have a Heart for prayer, Have a Heart for serving—these are the themes of Have a Heart Month.  Have a Heart Month began as an initiative put forth by Canyon Hills Assembly of God, in an effort to recruit individuals who could become involved in Royal Family Kids’ Camp (RFKC).  RFKC, a ministry of Canyon Hills Assembly of God, is an international ministry that focuses on providing foster children with an amazing week of summer camp—completely free of charge.  The $28,000 budget is entirely donor supported so the children don’t have to worry about whether or not they can afford to go to camp.  Have a Heart Month is about giving time, money and resources to the fatherless children in our community.

Today, Have a Heart Month is celebrated in several churches in our community and raises awareness for not only RFKC but for mentoring, foster parenting and additional volunteer opportunities for those who have a heart for abused and neglected children in foster care.  For more information regarding Have a Heart Month contact Covenant Community Services at 661/326-8304 or online at www.covenantcs.net

Covenant Community Services is a non-profit, faith based organization serving the public through various social services including: foster care placement, transitional housing, mentoring, mental health and family preservation services.
