In-Shape Health Clubs has acquired Total Fitness at 3201 Mall View Road on Bakersfield’s east side and will start immediate construction on a new fitness facility in a nearby development. The new facility – the company’s 4th in Bakersfield and 34th overall - will be located at 2681 Oswell Street.
“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Bakersfield with a brand new, affordable fitness facility on the east side,” said Paul Rothbard, In-Shape’s CEO. “With the economy tightening, people need more cost-effective, convenient activities close to home and work. Our new club will help residents stay healthy and active in these stressful times.”
The new In-Shape City Oswell will offer an indoor pool and spa, large Kids Club with play maze and other youth activities, cardio and weight training equipment, women’s fitness area, group classes, and stretching and abdominal workout areas.
