The week of 9_30_09 thru 10_4_09

Another great week at Trouts Nightclub & The Bakersfield Stages.

 

Wednesday there was construction going on over on the Blackboard side. Amazing things are coming. Make sure you come down and check it out.

 

Thursday jam session night from 9 to 11pm. David Carpenter, Lloyd Reading, Barbara Cheetwood, Mel Linton, Jim Jones and out own Blackboard Playboy Banny.

 

Friday we had a great night. The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. We had a bus full of Tourists from France. They had dinner and danced the night away. We also shared out stage with the band Take The Wheel!Saturday night The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. We had lots of new faces. It was our bouncer/bartender Allen’s birthday! We also had the great band Take the Wheel with us.

 

Sunday, the big jam session day. Music with some of The Blackboard Playboys from 4pm till 11pm. Ed Shaw, George Tillett, Barbara Cheetwood, Mel Linton, Lloyd Reading and Rockwell sag with us.

 

Come out and see us at Trout’s!

As always a huge thank you to Rockwell for making it all happen!

The week of 9-23-09 thru 9-27-09

Another great week at Trouts Nightclub & The Bakersfield Stages.

 
 Wednesday we had our jam session from 9 to 11pm. It's always fun on jam nights. We had Rockwell and David Carpenter sing with us.


 Thursday jam session night from 9 to 11pm. We had, Marc Madewell, Lloyd Reading, Tommy Moore, JR, David Carpenter & Harold.


 Friday we had a good night considering we were in the middle of the Kern County Fair. The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30.

 Saturday night The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. We had a great night. Tammy was celebrating her birthday with us.


 Sunday, the big jam session day. Music with some of The Blackboard Playboys from 4pm till 11pm. We some great local talent Sunday. Gordon Cantrell sang and played bass with us as well as Ed Shaw, Jim, George Tillett, Barbara Cheetwood, Mel Linton, Lloyd Reading, & Merle.

 
 As always a big thank you to Rockwell for making it all happen.

The week of 9-16-09 thru 9-20-09

Another great week at Trouts Nightclub & The Bakersfield Stages.


 Tuesday afternoon Rockwell and part of the Blackboard Playboys played some music for the Farmers Market in Oildale. Rusty Shoop the weather forecaster for channel 23 sat in and sang a few songs with us! That was exciting :)

 
 Wednesday we had our jam session from 9 to 11pm. It's always fun on jam nights. We had the great talents of, Lloyd Reading, Ed Shaw, David Carpenter & the lovely Wendy McWilliams from Wild West Karaoke. You can catch the karaoke on The Legends Stage @ Trouts.


 Thursday was another great jam session night from 9 to 11pm. We had, Barbara Cheetwood, Mel Linton, David Carpenter, Lloyd Reading & Ed Shaw.


 Friday was Packed. The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. Local musicians Barbara Cheetwood Mel Linton came in to visit.


 Saturday night The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. It was our drummer Johnny Barnett's birthday! We had a great celebration.


 Sunday, the big jam session day. Music with some of The Blackboard Playboys from 4pm till 11pm. We some great local talent Sunday. Rockwell got up and sang with us as well as Marc Madewell, Tommy Moore, George Tillett, Barbara Cheetwood, Mel Linton, Merle, Ed Shaw, Noah Claunch, Charles and we had the great band Take The Wheel.

The week of 9-7-09 thru 9-13-09

Another great week at Trouts Nightclub & The Bakersfield Stages.

 We started Monday off with a bang. We had a tour bus with some folks from France. We had a blast! There were around 50 people. There were awesome steak dinners catered by the Highland Cafe. The Blackboard Playboys played music and all we dancing and having a great time. I even saw a line dance I had never seen before. Great night.

 Tuesday afternoon Rockwell and part of the Blackboard Playboys played some music for the Farmers Market in Oildale. They have great brown eggs. I suggest you get some, along with all of the fresh fruits and vegetables.

 Wednesday we had our jam session from 9 to 11pm. It's always fun on jam nights. Marc Madewell came and sat in as well as Ben.

 Thursday was another great jam session night from 9 to 11pm. We had Marc Madewell, Barbara Cheatwood, Mel Linton, Rick Keen on dobro and David Carpenter.

 Friday was a fun night. The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. We had guest musicians that came up and played with us, Marc Madewell, Rudy Paris & Ronnie Branson. Local musicians Barbara Cheatwood, Mel Linton and Barbara's son Lee came in to visit. We had at least two birthday celebrations, Anna & Kimberly.

 Saturday night The Blackboard Playboys played from 8:30 to 1:30. Rockwell got up and sang with us. He's done a little something new with an old George Jones song. You need to come out and hear it! We had guest musicians with Marc Madewell and Rick Keene.

 Sunday, the big jam session day. Music with some of The Blackboard Playboys from 4pm till 11pm. We had a lot of great talent Sunday the 13th. Ed Shaw, George Tillett, Rockwell, Barbara Cheatwood, Mel Linton, Merle, Rick Keene, Marc Madewell and Dallon.

 

 Come out 7 nights a week and have some fun!
