Refiguy It's called censorship. It's been practiced throughout the centuries by governments who, unsure of their message, elimanted free speech. Now it's practiced by bloggers who want the last word at any cost, including their integrity.

"that I DO love a good Snicker, though, with or without nuts." A line similar to that once sent Lowell Thomas into a giggling fit. :) "Thrity thousand or more people were cheering him, all the folks who make Hershey's chocolate, with and without nuts." posted by

That is total BS... I have had my differences with alot of folks on here... including you Audrey... and we have come out of it civilized... if you don't want people to respond to you... positively or negatively... don't post here... start yourself a journal somewhere else... like I said yesterday it is unfathomable to me to block someone unless they are a true and clear threat... at that point I would turn them into TBC pronto. But the free exchange is what *this game* is all about. posted by

Remember when we listened to the stereo and put on an album...and put the needle on the album...every now and then, there was a scratch and it would not advance--just play over and over....some people are the same way...salvage the remaining songs and throw away that album.....IMHO posted by

Careful Ling, you just dated yourself. :-) Some bloggers use "being old" as an argument aginst some of us older guys. Apparently, we're too old and tired to make sense and should just get out of their way. Thanks Justathought. You don't say much, but I always check out your post when you make one. Sorry to hear about the lock-out and delete usage. I'm not sure what the point is on many of the anti-Obama blogs posted here recently. I find it pointless to comment anymore on most of them. It gets harder and harder to reconcile with the staunch hardliners who thrive on defammatory innuendo and gossip. The majority of the blog posts from these clones never take issue with a policy action, because Obama is not the President until January 20, 2009. It is all personal all the time. At the peak of the Holiday Season the personal vitriol against the President elect is really depressing. I have no idea how Barack Obama, or the unions who represent 12% of American workers deserve the anger and hostility being thrown at them this year. As I watch another Wall Street swindler worth a billion dollars get carted off to jail for the latest Ponzi scheme to only reward himself and his immediate family, I don't think either the unions or Barack Obama should be the ones regularly being questioned about their motives or business dealings. I think the money men need far more scrutiny given the circumstances.

Yay! Audrey hasn't blocked me from her blog LOL. ConservativeCowgirl, what thread was locked by administration? Just wondering. I have never blocked or deleted anyone ... what's the point? Everyone here is entitled to an opinion. Watching your snit-fit rants and blogs that stray so far off-topic (topics that aren't that interesting anyway) is getting old. In fact, most of your blogs devolve into your personal attacks on those who attempt to have a dialogue. posted by

Who "wins" by the way? I wasn't aware that this was a game. BTW, my "silly, insulting thread" was simply asking administration about the "thread locked" message. It was clearly a valid question if you took the time to read Jason's response. Keep it up, it's people like you that will keep the tech dept gainfully employed as they have to continue to tweak the system. Your continued delusions of grandeur and insulting attitude are duly noted. posted by

You were right LOL!!! He used to mock Pride & Prejudice, saying it was dumb, and silly, and too full of drama, but once I pointed out how truly funny it was, he laughed right along with me. My all-time favorite line, when Elizabeth refuses Darcy the first time: "From the very beginning--from the first moment, I may almost say--of my acquaintance with you, your manners, impressing me with the fullest belief of your arrogance, your conceit, and your selfish disdain of the feelings of others, were such as to form that groundwork of disapprobation on which succeeding events have built so immovable a dislike..." etc etc--Austen DOES love her looong sentences, but what a writer!!!
