Politics
I love it, seriously. Where else can you see someone tell a person that they personally attacked him even though they never mentioned their name. Where else can you have your wife go out and put herself in the campaign and then when she is questioned because of what she says, claim, she is not part of the campaign and should not be subject such treatment. Where else can you have a candidate that thinks that any criticism of him is unjust and that he is the savior of the world and we should all be happy to have him raise our taxes and legitimize people that hate us and kill Americans everyday. Ahh Politics its great. I can't wait for Obama to lose.

Cindy McCain Should Release Tax Returns
Senator John McCain's wife, Cindy McCain, has decided not to release her tax returns -- not now and not in the future. In the interest of transparency and to support her husband's frequent calls for clean and open government, she should rethink that decision. Since their marriage in 1980, Mrs. McCain, the daughter of a multimillionaire Anheuser-Busch distributor, and her husband have filed separate tax returns. In April, Mr. McCain released his own returns, but just for the last two years -- a paltry nod to openness. Mrs. McCain, it was explained, would not release her tax returns in "the interest of protecting the privacy of her children." posted by

Oh hey there RF, Let me see you want me to die because I disagree and Barrack Obama thinks what? Hmm that's funny all of his socialist comments and policies, he may want tax breaks to go to middle class but he will raise their taxes. that's reality. You see that's the problem with Obama he says great things but his actual policies are contrary to what he will do. RF before you go all crazy tell me, do you refute the statement above? Let me say it again for you, Obama want to help everyone but the way he will do it is paid for by raising taxes. Bottom line he wants to raise taxes so that the Government is in charge of giving those funds out and "helping" people. Even though every time the Government is put in charge of things like this waste fraud corruption and oversight gets out of control....VA, post office, SS, etc... posted by

Sage no they won't, Dems would have you think, that but in a capitalist society like ours, lowering taxes and tariffs actually generate more profits. I agree with McCain who says raising taes during an economic slowdown is the worst thing you can do. That's basic economics guys c'mon. Its like you guysarnt even trying anymore... Maggie, I wonder why? Why does she have to release her tax returns? Privacy I know doesn't mean much to you but it does to a lot of people. Maggie tell me why she should release them, convince me. Explain why, I would love to hear this. Maybe you can then you can convince me why McCain is a traitor to the US after, like you tried to peddle to me several posts ago. Cindy McCain should release her tax returns because they would show whether McCain would personally benefit from his cockeyed economic scheme. And how much her personal wealth has supported her husband's power-lust. But mainly because they made Mrs. Kerry release *HERS*. posted by

McCains Keeps All Assets In Cindy's Name (Except One Checking Account) John McCain has repeatedly argued that his wife's financial holdings are separate from his political life, and should remains so for the privacy of her and her children. However, as Slate pointed out this weekend, McCain has no problems keeping nearly everything the couple does own in her name: http://www.huffingtonpost.c... McCain Tax Returns: Latest NewsJohn McCain has released his tax returns for 2006 and 2007 today, his first release of such information in 25 years. However, unlike the Democratic candidates who released information for themselves and their spouses, McCain will not release information on his wife's estimated $100 million fortune.http://www.huffingtonpost.c... McCain Continues To Use Wife's Corporate Jet
Cindy McCain said Thursday that she would never release her personal income tax filing even if her husband, Senator John McCain, was elected president. But Federal Aviation Administration records indicate that she appears to be using her personal wealth to help his campaign, through the continued use of her corporate jet. The New York Times reported last month that during a crucial five-month period Mr. McCain's campaign regularly used a corporate jet owned by the Phoenix-based beer distributor that Mrs. McCain heads, saving the campaign hundreds of thousands of dollars. His campaign pays rates well below market ones for the plane's use because of an unresolved exemption in a recent campaign finance law that Mr. McCain backed. For a candidate who puts a premium on transparency and ethics, John McCain has been slow and grudging in releasing tax information. He did not commit to doing so until after he had secured the nomination, and then he disclosed only two years of taxes, far less than his Democratic rivals. Mr. McCain's wife, the heir to a liquor and beer distributorship, declined to release her returns, citing -- as Ms. Heinz Kerry did -- her children's privacy. Releasing tax information entails intrusion, but, as we wrote four years ago, presidential candidates and their spouses "relinquish a significant measure of privacy. Meanwhile, tax returns provide information not contained in financial disclosure forms, such as charitable contributions and the use of tax shelters." For Mrs. McCain to say, as she did on NBC's "Today" show this week, that she would never release her tax returns, not even if she were to become first lady, is unacceptable.

Sage, We have had economic sauces with raising the GDP I think every year and we should continue that trend. We do have a debt but raising taxes would cause less money to made and less to be paid off. The way to fix our debt problem is to make more money, not by increasing taxes, but by selling more and earning more taxes all ready on the books. Not just raising the taxes so everyone who does buy pays more. I think that's basically it. Think about it, you buy stuff, it cost more you might buy less. But if it cost less you buy more. I cant get more basic than that. posted by

Yeah, I think he was actually talking about Gates, who just last week suggested we have a sit down with Iran. How dare Obama assume it was about him. Lets see. Huge surplus under Clinton, record debt under Bush. 28 bucks a barrell for oil under Clinton, 128 under Bush. Real estate crash, a dollar is worth 67 cents in Europe, all our allies don't like us now, Bin Laden is still flipping the bird at the "Mission accomplished" guy who wouldn't even finish his military obligation flying planes over the dangerous Tuscaloosa Alabama area. Spends 10 billion dollars a month policing another countries civil war, but won't spend 10 billion dollars....one time....to rebuild the levees in one of the most important ports in America. 4,000 of our military kids killed to fight people who didn't kill 3,000 other Americans under Bush, another 40,000 maimed, and record suicides by military personell. Clinton helped straighten out Bosnia with little US casualties. Exxon makes record profits under Bush while we pay 4 bucks a gallon, then doesn't even know we are paying 4 bucks a gallon. Half of his administration left in disgrace, or quit in disgust. The other half are cronies he owes favors too. Worse President in U.S. History.......by far. I find it funny reading a blog post like this. Since the Republican Party has absolutely no plan to benefit working people in this country, and have not had a plan for many years now, the only thing left is to distract voters with smear campaigns. There is no plan for health care from Republicans. There is no jobs or economic stimulus plan that does not further reward the very wealthiest in the land by proposing yet another tax cut to wipe away vital services the lower 90% of earners use for basic survival. The only beneficiaries of the Bush tax cuts thus far have been the very rich. We are still the only major country in the world that allows its citizens to go into bankruptcy over an illness or accident. Republicans tout a strong defense and yet turn their backs on the promises made to the very soldiers they give lip service to. They vote to deny real GI benefits by blocking the latest Congressional proposal to bring the GI Bill up to date. The only thing Republicans have demonstrated a talent for is the smear campaign. After hearing NPR today with Republican strategists taking a beating from callers in their own Party over how out of touch with reality Republican ideology is today, it is no wonder the nation sees only dirt being thrown from a bunch of desperate small-minded individuals. Republicans are not a party, they are a wake. posted by
