If you believe as the founding fathers did that the point of a well regulated militia was that state militias should be the only standing army that should be allowed, that there should be no Federal standing army, and that the point of a well regulated militia was to repel both foreign enemies and a Federal army, then you are a strict constructionist.

Or "stick constructionist", if you prefer.

As for being liberal or Republican, are those the only two options, or are people who agree with some things from both and disagree with other things from both allowed?

I may be making a bit of a strecth here but if you like guns "most likely" you're Republican? If you want guns banned you're a liberal(the oppoisite of Rupublican?)? What is your classification if you're a little apathetic to the entire issue?

I am a liberal. I own a gun. Actually, twenty guns. I will shoot anyone who walks into my house uninvited. Other than that, YOU don't deserve a gun. YOU are a criminal as far as I am concerned.

Liberal isn't the opposite of Republican.  There actually used to be liberal republicans.  Today it's just Joe Lieberman, I suppose--natural selection taking its toll on the wrong folks, I guess.

I don't think ALL of the people should have guns. So I guess by this benchmark I am somewhere inbetween.

I have no reason to own a gun and several reasons not to. I don't hunt nor do I live out in the country where I might need protection against wild animals. I do however have several mentally ill family members and an autistic child who visit frequently and I don't feel that safe having them in the same abode as a gun, even if it were locked up. And locked up would do me little good in a robbery situation without enough advanced notice to get it out and assembled.

Not all wild animals live in the country.  I'd be less concerned about them than the ones who live in the city.

Having a gun locked away in a gun safe to keep it out of the hands of those who visit my home who are incapable of handling it responsibly would also keep it fairly well out of hand for dealing with the city "wild animals" as well.

So BS, when a right is ennumerated in the Constitution, that makes  any regulation of said right un-Constitutional? Great! I'll be going to the movies tonight and yelling "fire" in the middle of it......

Mattloch--remember that BS have very little understanding of the COTUS. In fact the level of his education shows through his posts.

I have been labeled "liberal" (whatever that is) and I own a gun and believe in gun rights. The problem with many is that they expect their little labels to fit exactly. There are issues I'm liberal about and others that I'm conservative about.

I 'm a socialist(liberal/conservative?) and I have no guns. I just gave my rifle away to one of my friends about a month ago. I feel very uncomfortable around them unless I'm in combat.

Thank God for the Supreme Court Decision to proliferate guns throughout society. We need more guns and more  bullets and more deaths. Kill, Kill, and Kill! Shoot anyone who moves. Shoot anyone that talks. Shoot anyone who disagrees or diss's you. This is wonderful, shoot, shoot, shoot!!!!

Yes, I will shoot if I feel that I am in imminent danger. I know a man alive today because he was able to kill before he was killed. And there are many, many others. You are right thank goodness! Isn't it great that we have the right to defend ourselves from evil?
