Now there's another church preacher, a catholic priest who has known obama since his first days as a "community leader", a guy that has been a leader in Obama's "Catholics for Obama" groups. A guy that Obama has got earmarks for and has been a friend to obama.

He went on a racial rant about Clinton and we are now being told this is again not the kind of message Obama has and that they are distancing him from the campaign.

Ouch, Clinton has been getting beat up by alot of things by fellow democrats but now to have an Catholics for Obama guy to say she felt entitled and to suggest that she thought she was going to get it because she was only running against a black guy, seem pretty bad. This was from the pulpit in Trinity church..

My question is how many racists that know and have close personal ties to Obama have to come out for people to realize Obama has got his values from the wrong crowd. How many time do they have to use race and sex to attack his opponents?

Racist Churches that McCain attended for 20 years: 0

Racists, bigot, or anti American people that McCain has had as close personal friends: 0

Umm...hmmm....interesting..

Cling to god and guns, typical white person etc, Michelle saying its a mean country, never been proud etc, wright the racist, aires the terrorist, trinity church that people do not want to recognize it for what it is,

Look, all these add up to me and they show a trend of belief which I don't like...

Add all this to his socialist idea, which have never worked ever in any society, and the fact the Hamas, Castro and Hugo Chaves all want Obama in because they all favor the same kind of government,

Makes me want to go Clinton. When Clinton beat him in the next three contests, it will be deserved....

McCain said he should go back to Iraq before continuing on with uninformed and  naive view of the war. That once he sees whats happening he can't ignore it any longer.

McCain mentioned that Obama wants to have talks without preconditions with Iran but still has not tried to have talks with Patreus the other day, which I thought was really funny but sad at the same time.

Obama now is saying he is considering a trip to Iraq, but that has nothing to do with what McCain pointed out, that Obama hasn't been to the country in two years and has no idea what is going on in the war. He says that this was all in the plans. Even though there is no mention of such a event at an time before McCain called him out.

My thought is if Obama is already taking orders from McCain now, what kind of leadership will he have if elected Pres.

Its not the fact that McCain is right and obama like the liberal crowd has ignored the facts on the ground and continue to play politics with American lives. Its the fact that once again Obamas lack of experience has shown through his rhetoric of hope. And once again has reminded us that he really is not prepared for the presidency.

The whole idea that him considering going to Iraq being unrelated to McCain telling him to go is laughable.

Really Barrack, even your most liberal fans like RF, can't believe your latest little fantasy....

In the midst of the controversy surrounding California's Supreme Court decision to allow gay marriage shows how liberals feel the need "change" the definitions of words to promote their political ideologies, and further their liberal agendas.

I first began to notice this trend when looking through text books in college which are written by liberals, taught by liberals, and used to indoctrinate students into accepting the liberal interpretation of words as "facts". I remember in a sociology class the word "minority" was defined as "having nothing to do with numbers or a percentage of the population, but rather who holds power in a society". I'm sorry, but the words minority and majority, for that matter, have everything to do with numbers and percentages of a Population! Liberals can no longer say that the "minority' is underprivileged because of its size, so they have to change minority to mean something else. Still, of course blaming the evil white "majority" for the ills of all the poor minority groups.

I then started to apply this all aspects of the liberal agenda. Liberals change the definitions of words to pass legislation as well. If you remember Senate Bill 777 the word "gender" was defined as meaning "sex", for "the purposes of this bill." In reality gender and sex mean two very different things, gender are learned traits, and sex is what you are born. The bill changed these words to mean the same thing so that their political agenda is promoted in public schools.

Now we are seeing this same principle applied to the definition of marriage. Marriage means a union between a man and a woman. This is the reason why gay marriage is really an oxymoron. In order to allow gays to marry we would have to change the definition of marriage, and their are many people who, for religious and traditional purposes, do not want to change the definition. In fact, a proposition in California was passed to keep the definitions of marriage as it is, clearly this is what a majority of Californians want. This is not saying that gays can't join in civil unions, or contracts with one another, but to call it marriage is, by definition, incorrect.

I have to question any political group that has change the meanings of words to convince people to agree with them. If your argument isn't valid enough to support with actual definitions, maybe you should reevaluate it.

McCain was interrupted repeatedly by liberal protesters, and I use that term loose because what they do is not protest its stupidity.  McCain was really, more accurately, interrupted by people that are shining examples of what today's protesters on the liberal side really are. You don't see people that support Conservative act this way, because there is a difference between us.

When liberals interrupt a speech much like today's, causing a scene, and they do this to republicans all the time.  I never hear anyone call foul. I doubt even the liberals on this website would see a problem with it, after all McCain and all the other Republicans are evil right?

Look, When have you ever seen a conservative throw blood, pies, water or anything at some one speaking. When have you ever seen Obama and Clinton get interrupter by a protester that just starts shouting something mean at them? Well not including each others supporters of course, they do that but again they are liberals.

Anyways the point is Republicans are vilified by the liberal left as suppressing speech, rights and whatever else, but is only the liberals that come out and try to disrupt and try to stop speeches with these kind of tactics.

I would love to see the day when instead of coming out to funerals when mothers are morning, instead of seeing people throw blood, instead of people going to a speech of someone they disagree with on some level and causing some sort of disruption and being a stereotypical liberal protester, I would like to see them actually try to have a conversation.

Unlike the campaign event at CSUB for Clinton where they didn't take questions, or Obama's much televised campaign sermons, Republicans actually allow people to ask questions and talk to the candidate. Its because they are not afraid to say what they believe and are not scared of answering those questions. You don't have to be a typical Liberal, you can be polite, courteous and disagree and ask a your question....

I know Liberals are used to their own events where f you wanted to say something you would have to interrupt but with us, you don't have to. You can be respectful to the speaker, event, group, whatever and ask your question. We will call on you. Especially McCain he loves your questions.

Plus, don't you feel stupid do that crap? My question to a liberal protester is why? Why is it your groups are the only ones to do these outrageous things, why do you think Liberals are being treated the same way?

Because what you are doing is wrong. If your going to protest doing in a respectful way. That's the only protesting that has ever worked.

Remember those who died for this country, be it family, friends or just citizens of this land. Remember them and give thanks for their work, strength, and honor.

I sincerely thank all those who serve and have served and best wishes go to those who have lost loved ones.

Thank you so much, and don't worry about those who protest your services, work against you or spit in your direction, these people are but a few misguided people that do not represent your country that appreciates every thing you do.

Happy Memorial Day

Yeah McCain medicals are public, it took a little while because of the doctors office. It is the records from 2000 till now, all his records before 2000 were released last time including this military records.

Also McCain's wife releases 2006 and when 2007 is done she will release them as well. There were some people that attacked the fact that she's hiding something, even though she just wanted to privacy. It note worthy to point out that she is releasing two years of records, doubling that of Teresa Heinz Kerry, also an heiress, when her husband John Kerry was the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004. Heinz Kerry made one year of returns public, but withheld some portions of the filing, and did not release the information until the final months of the campaign.

A recent post by city beat entitled "Young Republicans Support Weir" turned into a discussion of wether Abernathy controlled the group.

The evidence was two people on the officer board worked for local republicans in office.

Also that Abernathy could call them up and they could or could not listen to him.

That as what was cited to convince me that The YR's were just following orders by supporting weir because Abernathy said too. Even though there no way he could do that.

I called "bull" because I see nothing to suggest that, and because of it I was called unconvincable because these argument were good enough to convince "no one is above the law".

My question for anyone that cares is doesn't this seem just a little like Liberal posters just attacking republicans.

I know the thing with weir is some didn't like the fact he wanted his own planning commissioner, and wants his own like everyone else. This is the whole reason for the recall. Supposedly theres other other reasons but no one can name them.

Look I'm just saying it pisses me off when people make accusation with no proof or reason other than personal bias.

I'm bias and dam well know it, I'm a republican, but I get my view off facts and opinions. I don't think others are evil I just don't agree with them and i wont just attack someone because I disagree, and I don' t have patients for those that do.

People that do that are wastes...

Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware, former Sen. Gary Hart of Colorado and former Rep. Harold E. Ford Jr. of Tennessee distanced themselves from Mr. Obama's position, each saying that preconditions for any such meeting would be essential.

"I'll concede, you cannot meet with foreign leaders — with terrorists, rather, those that lead rogue nations — without some conditions," Mr. Ford said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Mr. Obama was asked in a Democratic debate in July whether he would "be willing to meet separately, without precondition ... with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea."

"I would," Mr. Obama said. "And the reason is this: that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them — which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration — is ridiculous. ... We have the obligation to find areas where we can potentially move forward. I think that it is a disgrace that we have not spoken to them."

Mr. Obama later said he would first send lower-level diplomats to prepare high-level talks, but has continued to pledge to hold such unconditional meetings. Mr. Hart yesterday pointed to that distinction in the Democratic presidential candidate's position.

"I don't think Barack Obama or any other president is going to meet with a head of state without lower-level discussions preceding that," he said on CNN's "Late Edition." "What you do is send diplomats and negotiators to explore areas of mutual interest. And if it does seem profitable, then you go to the heads of state."

Mr. Biden, who is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and sought the Democratic presidential nod this year, said Mr. Obama gave the "wrong answer" in the debate, but added that the senator from Illinois has "learned a hell of a lot."

***Just a side note from your local Bakosuperman***

Barrack still insists that talking with out conditions with terrorists or leaser so states of terror is the right path because he doesn't want to punish them, when McCain says these statements show his depth of knowledge and judgment on such matters, and that Barracks positions are dangerous, its not because he's lib, or he's running against him, it because his ignorance is dangerous and you can not deny it.

Barracks website proudly stated his position until a few days ago...why did he take it down? is it because he is about to once again change his position based on poor judgment and then when questioned about it say he is unfairly being criticized? My guess is yes

I thought Iraq was in a civil war? I never here that anymore on NBC or CNN, they told me Iraq was so bad and that we needed to get out, that it was chaos and no military strategy could ever bring the violence down. Did the evil US conquerors leave?

So who won the civil war? What happened to all the violence? Has NBC been censored? Whats going on, I mean the very bias and neutral proud American Harry Reid said the war was lost as our troops were over their getting shot at almost a year ago. What happened? He was right wasn't he?

WT Hell is going on??!!?!?!

A buddy of mine called me from Iraq and said things have gotten much better because of the the Surge and despite what Lib's tried to do and make us lose like cowards, we triumphed like Americans always have done, standing up for human rights and liberty across the world, no matter the threat or corers ion. I know he's crazy though because I'm sure a liberals and democrats that preach defeat stateside know better. After all the military listens to our elected president and that's just crazy and though people don't really even want to hurt us, the war on terror doesn't exist and we are just occupying Iraq right?

So what  happened, does anyone know? Who won the civil war?

Anyone?

I love it, seriously.

Where else can you see someone tell a person that they personally attacked him even though they never mentioned their name.

Where else can you have your wife go out and put herself in the campaign and then when she is questioned because of what she says, claim, she is not part of the campaign and should not be subject such treatment.

Where else can you have a candidate that thinks that any criticism of him is unjust and that he is the savior of the world and we should all be happy to have him raise our taxes and legitimize people that hate us and kill Americans everyday.

Ahh Politics its great. I can't wait for Obama to lose.

Here's a recap

Bush: We don't negotiate and talk with terrorists, especially the ones that Deny the Holocaust and want to kill all Jews and kill out troops as we speak.

Obamas camp: We are mad that Bush said that, Obama wants to bring change and talk with them

Pelosi and Biden: that's [edit.] how dare Bush say that. Its unworthy of the office

Bush: That's been our policy and America's policy. Its not going to change just because of the 08 election and Obama.

McCain: What does Obama want to talk with them about? Why would he negotiate with the very people that want Israel wiped off the planet and are working to that goal.

Obamas camp: McCain should renounce the Presidents comments

Bakersfield Superman: Obamas thoughts and foreign policy are dangerous. We shouldn't be talking with people that have stated and continue to state "Death to Israel and the Jews"

Hamas: endorsed Obama...that's a fact..."We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election." Why? "He has a vision to change America."  Yeah Hamas supports him but no one want to talk about it. I wonder why a terrorist org that has been featured in his church's pamphlet endorsed him. I wonder what change they like?

Anyways you decide.

The Difference Between
Republicans and Democrats

John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barak Obama were walking down a  Washington D.C. street when they came upon a homeless person.

The Republican, John McCain, gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his office for a job. He then took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

Hillary was very impressed. When they came upon another homeless person she decided to help. She walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. She then reached into John McCain's pocket and got out $20. She kept $15 for her administrative fees and gave the homeless person $5.

When they came upon yet another homeless person Barak told the homeless person to 'have hope...change is coming...' and gave him nothing.

Now do you understand the difference?

Nope definitely not.

Republicans are attacked and called names because of their beliefs in a small government, individual rights and self sufficiency.

Looking through our parties past, there are a couple of things I'd like to remind people of.

First off, We freed the slaves, thanks Lincoln.

We gave women the right to vote, thanks Theodore,

We enforced civil rights legislation and helped the Holocaust victims by winning World War II, Thanks Eisenhower.

Not to mention Republicans never rounded up Asians and put them in camps, these were not church or summer camps BTW....

Charleston Heston who died recently was one of the few that fought for civil rights before it was "cool" and you could still get shot for standing up for Blacks. Funny how a guy like this has been viciously attacked because he liked 2nd amendment and his rights.

Ok, lets bring it up to today though, lets see the republican party fights against the welfare state, sends help and aid all around the world in countries like Africa, and places hit by natural disaster.

Its a fact that Republicans give more and have given more to charities, not only more than Democrats but all other political group.

We protect women's rights from being violated by Islamic extremism, remember when they are not chopping heads off of people who they don't agree with, they are beating and raping innocent women.

And lets not forget Israel, since when did it become OK to be anti-Semitic. Democrats have failed to take a stand against Islamic extremists who kill Jews, simply because they are Jewish. Dems are ignoring the problem, placing blame on the US for violence, while Republicans on the other hand, support Israel and the Jewish people, and continue to help them fight for their rights and safety. Again taking problems head on, not waiting for someone else to fix them!

Yeah I feel so bad for standing up for people's rights, capitalism and the absolute belief that the strong should defend the weak.

RF, here a Dem from Montana, that tried with Pelosi to sneak in a 170 million earmark in the farm bill, hmm dems not letting any debate or discussion before trying to spend our money for a salmon shop. Not only is it messed up they did it at last minute and added the earmark after the bill had passed in the senate and house but they dd ot to look like the earmark for any non profit that did stuff with fish, even though only one in the DEms district couls qualify,

Dem's showing us once again how thier corrupt.

http://www.townhall.com/col...

There’s something fishy in the Farm Bill, and taxpayers should beware. It’s a $170 million earmark for the salmon industry, quietly tucked into the mammoth bill at the last minute by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA). I don’t know much about the salmon industry. Perhaps Pelosi and Thompson can explain why it was necessary to earmark $170 million of the taxpayers’ money with no public scrutiny or debate. The earmark wasn’t in the House-passed Farm Bill or the Senate version; it was simply “air-dropped” into the final bill in secret.

The Farm Bill has often been abused by politicians as a slush fund for bizarre earmarks and wasteful spending projects, and the latest version up for a vote on the House floor this week is no different. During Farm Bill negotiations, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) slipped in a targeted earmark to help the Plum Creek Timber Company in Montana sell a parcel of land to the scandal-tarnished “environmental group,” the Nature Conservancy. The earmark allows the Nature Conservancy to claim a $250 million “tax refund” – even though, as a non-profit they don’t actually pay taxes. But instead of being open and honest about their intentions to spend $250 million in taxpayer money, Democrats attempted to keep it secret by crafting the provision to ensure the funds go only to a federal forest project of a certain size that also has fish. That’s right. Fish. In a forest. Forest fish. In the whole country, only one tract fits the bill – and it happens to be located in Senator Baucus’ home state of Montana.

These examples serve as a perfect illustration of why taxpayers are fed up with a broken Washington. Despite the Speaker’s promises to “drain the swamp” at the beginning of the 110th Congress, it has become increasingly clear why Democrats are fighting as hard as they can to keep the earmark factory open on Capitol Hill. Not only have Democratic leaders have “showered” their newly-elected Members in pork in the attempt to help them win re-election, but their senior members – including the “King of Pork,” Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) – have made it clear that wasteful earmarks are here to stay.

I’ve been an earmark reform advocate since my earliest days in Congress. When I first ran for the House, I told voters in my district that if they were looking for somebody to go to Washington and raid the federal treasury on their behalf, they should vote for someone else. For years, this personal stance made me something of an oddity in Congress. But as spending exploded in past Congresses, more and more people began to recognize that the out-of-control earmark process has become the defining symbol of how a broken Washington wastes taxpayers’ money.

We did not make nearly enough progress on earmark reform during our time in the Majority, and though we began to implement meaningful reforms after I became Majority Leader in 2006, the fact is, our efforts were too little, too late. But the need to fundamentally reform the earmark process has taken on new urgency since Democrats, who now control Congress, seem intent on breaking nearly every promise they made to the American people.

Earlier this year, my House Republican colleagues met to discuss how we should stop wasteful earmarks and reform how Congress spends taxpayer dollars. We decided that the best way forward was to ask Speaker Pelosi to join us in supporting a total freeze in earmarks while we a real discussion of how to reform the system. We also adopted a series of earmark reform standards immediately, one of which prohibits members from “air-dropping” earmarks into conference measures at the last minute. Ironically, Speaker Pelosi’s $170 million salmon earmark in the Farm Bill would have been prohibited under our Republican reforms.

We have continued to make our case to the American people. Since the Speaker refused to work with us, we began forcing House votes on a bill written by three Republicans – Reps. Frank Wolf, Jack Kingston, and Zach Wamp – that would institute a total earmark freeze and keep the earmark factory shut down until reforms are in place to prevent wasteful pork-barreling. These votes put the Democrats on the record opposing earmark reform – including their newest Members who campaigned on the issue.

We haven’t won yet, but we are making progress on reform. Since we began this effort, a growing number of my GOP colleagues have sworn off earmarks. Some Democrats have broken ranks with Speaker Pelosi on the issue as well. One of the Democrats’ most partisan chairmen, Henry Waxman of the Government Reform and Oversight Committee, admitted he agreed with Republican concerns about earmarks and announced a personal earmark moratorium. Two more senior Democrats, Reps. Ron Kind and Jim Cooper, have done the same.

Washington is broken, and it will never be fixed until the earmarks stop and real reform begins. Sadly, the Farm Bill the House considers this week is yet another example of Congress putting secret earmarks and wasteful spending ahead of the interests of the American people. Speaker Pelosi has the power to shut down the earmark process at any time, yet she inserted a $170 million earmark into the Farm Bill at the last minute with no discussion or debate. Can anyone really claim this is the “most open, most honest, and most ethical Congress in history”?

Here's the question: by JFrancais

"Why is the popular vote not used and what makes the electoral college more superior?"

Well for a number of reasons JFrancais, but before I go into all that I want to address our favorite far left loony RF and his answer to the above question.

"It gives more weight to the Montana conservatives than the California liberals, jfrancais.  That's why it's still here.  It's the Republican version of super delegates."

Oh RF, First off the Electoral College does not benefit Republicans, it benefits Americans. That's why the founders set it up that way. The EC doesn't give more weight to Conservative states verses Liberal ones RF. In fact California has the most EC votes and has the most influence in the EC than any other state. If you recall, an initiative was being proposed in CA that would eliminate the "winner take all system" in CA which I guess you would want, and it would allot EC votes by districts won. If CA did not have a winner take all system nearly half of its EC votes would go Republican, and a Democrats would kiss there 55 guaranteed votes goodbye!  Not to mention with out the EC Dems would never win a Presidency again. So spare me from your false and completely uninformed ramblings.

Here's why the Electoral College was adopted, is good and will never be changed to a popular vote.

1. Its the Majority rule, with protection of the minority... a popular vote does not protect the minority. For instance, if a candidate wants to win the state of Illinois, they will need to win the black vote in order to get the EC votes. If a candidate is running to win a popular they can ignore minority needs and focus on the issues of the majority that will get the most votes.

2. With out the EC a whole lot of candidates would run for the presidency, and the winner would only need to receive a majority to win. For example, if ten different people ran the winner would be the one with highest percentage. A candidate could win the presidency by only receiving 12% of the vote, yeah Cris Dodd or Tommy Thompson could win.

3. Now, lets say that two of the ten candidates received 25% and 20% of the vote, people would demand a run off election to produce a legitimate winner. I highly doubt that the U.S. would want two elections every year, we haven't even picked both nominees yet imagine doing it twice!!!

4. Real quick here are some more reasons, as if you needed any more,

The EC protects Federalism, State Rights and forces forces politicians to cover all issues.

This whole talk about a pop vote vs. the EC came up recently because of the Gore loss and some Libs crying about it. The bottom line is that we don't pick presidents because a small group of people want some one to promote their minority views, we pick someone that represents all of America.

Question: Is it Democratic?

Look, all the states vote to pick delegates at your Nat. Convention presumably to pick the best Democratic candidate and then out of the 4000 or so have about 800 of those delegates to be picked by the party. How is that Democratic?

I just don't get this, maybe someone can help me out. If the party picks the 800 then any close match up would be decided by the big wigs of the party, not the people. It practically assures us that in any selection we will not really know who the people wanted.

It ensures that anytime there is a highly contested race like the Clinton/Obama one we have now, that the winner is picked by a few people unaccountable to anyone.

Think about it, right now you don't hear people talk about who the democrats want more or who really has the most support. You hear Candidate X just got some Super delegates bringing them closer to the nomination. You don't hear about what campaign is staying in there and fighting for there cause, trying to best for the country. You hear candidate visited with who ever to try and get his or her super delegate vote. It bothers me.

What bothers me the most is that most Dem's I know or hear from never mention this they are perfectly happy with the way things are. Never mention how certain states that voted before the party wanted them to, now cant have a say in the nominee selection, how even though neither candidate has got the majority, the party is saying they just want people to quit and roll over for the other because more superdelagates are voting for one over the other. How its all over for a campaign even though there are primaries still left!!!!

How can this be accepted by Democrats? What happened to the people choosing & voting what they want? Not just being given a forced choice and being told this is what you want?

I'm not trying to poke fun at the fact the the democratic party has the least democratic way of picking a nominee but seriously isn't there something wrong; if  I was a democrat I would be pissed off  at the decisions not being made.

Does all this seem weird to anyone else, or am I just a crazy Republican that is making to much of the fact that the Dem nominee picked by party big wigs  has taken two states primaries out of the equation because they wanted to vote when they wanted to and not when the party told them too.

Just a thought.

Dear Clinton supporter,

I just want to let you know I don't like how Obama has treated you guys. I mean he lies about your girl, trying to paint her as some kind of inexperienced horrible person that is not qualified to bring our country together, even though her established record goes back many years. Many years of helping people.

Obama is now saying that your votes shouldn't be counted, no MI no FL and that he is the one that can lead everyone to the white house. Even though the states that he has won will hardly even make him competitive in a General Election.

Seriously, Clinton won the states that Dem's need. It really saddens me when I see him make attacks on her, attacks that shouldn't be made. Attacks McCain would have never made on her. It is well known that Hillary vs. McCain would have been respectful because both knew each other and they just disagreed there was no hard feelings. Yeah McCain has caught a lot of flak for that one. Some Crazy Right wingers want to attack everyone, just like the loony lefties supporting Obama do.

We know and have seen what Obama and his camp did against your girl and what he has already gone and done to McCain. Oh and if he gets criticized, he says that it's a race attack or some other unfair old style politics. Not just sincere and deserved criticism.

I just want to welcome any of you that want to come over and vote for a man that has character and self respect, someone that doesn't personally attack by habit and has received many of them from Obama just like Clinton.

You might not agree on everything that McCain stands for but you can trust he will do whats right for the country's interest and above all else look out for the Americans that have come accustomed to being lied to and manipulated by false statements and promises that Obama has been giving out like candy.

You are welcome in joining us, Become a McCain democrat.

I hope you consider it, because elections are about putting good people in office regardless of what letter comes after their name.
