Bit long-winded there, aren't you?  Look at it this way, BB--maybe we can expect some foreign aid to come our way.

Is that what the sister-city stuff is all about (funding)?

Random-

DId you see the yields on treasuries today? (I know you did since I know you watch the markets like a hawk). Dollar continues declines, treasury yields tanking, SIV's sinking...I wonder how those tax cuts are working? This entire economy is built on a mountain of credit and it is crumbling right before our eyes!

Meanwhile, we are wasting money on some worthless trip to some far away lands. Maybe we can get some "in God we trust:" signs placed in the Indian schools...Our local leaders are a sleep at the wheel again...

I have no idea what it is about. I know has produced nothing. Harvey Hall seems like a genuine and decent man, however, this is just a complete waste of time.

Actually, I didn't :)  Getting caught up after nearly *FOUR DAYS OFFLINE!!!!*  You may be right about getting the IGWT signs placed over there.  God knows we don't need 'em here...

.

Glad I bought Euros when I did...

BB, they are not worthless trips. They are called "perks", for the local politicians. (And they get per diem for meals too).

I wrote the story on Hall's trip and just posted to my own blog, prompted by your post, about who paid for the thing.

Now I want Indian food....
