How Cool is this?
I'm frequently amazed by some of the interesting things we have in our own backyard here in Bakersfield.
One such place is HowCool.com, a local storefront that has a sizable e-commerce business. The site contains a wide variety of items, ranging from clothes (including lots of sexy wear) and handbags to home&garden stuff and novelty toys. My favorite is the Crazy Cat Lady Action Figure for a mere $11.70 (shipping and handling not included) Bakotopia.com recently did a fun story on the business, which is closing in on its 10th anniversary with 35 employees. If you're looking for a different kind of gift that doesn't scream "mall" check out HowCool. WARNING: Some items on the HowCool site are of an adult nature. How about a caution on this link? I saw a nice bit of lingerie for the wife and when I clicked on the picture, the image had a see thru top that you could see thru...... Didn't bother me but there could be children here. posted by

I've wanted the Crazy Cat Lady for ages! I guess if someone doesn't finally pony up the $12 for it for Christmas I'll have a place in town to go and get it :-)
