Free food — if you dress like a cow

In the ‘moo’d for a free meal? As part of Chick-fil-A’s fifth annual Cow Appreciation Day celebration, the restaurant at 5260 Stockdale Highway is offering a free meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who visits fully dressed as a cow on Friday.

Those who go all out will receive an entrée of choice, a side item and a beverage.

For those who are too timid to wear full cow costumes, the restaurant will award a complimentary entrée to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory.

Chick-fil-A has a Web site dedicated to the occasion, cowappreciationday.com.

And if you dress like a person who just lost his job and got evicted from his home, you get a free meal at the homeless shelter.

There aren't people who are really going to dress like a cow, are there?

Wow.....that's not very nice! I think its a great idea! Why not try and do something fun and try and bring the community in to have a fun time and some free food. I have a cow costume and would do it!

Shouldn't be so pessimistic about everything. Right now is the time to try and look forward and not down or back and I appreciate Chick-Fil-A's for trying to do something fun and FREE in hard times.

The funny thing is, Chick-Fil-A has been giving away free food ALL week.  Monday they gave away Free Chicken Sandwiches, Tuesday was Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Wednesday was 8 piece Chicken Nuggets & yesterday was a 3 piece Chicken Strip.  And you could get each of those items free WITHOUT dressing like a cow.  Today is the cow appreciation day & you get the whole meal if you dress up.
