Chico, this doesn't really relate to your blog but I think it's pretty funny:  

Michelle Obama, famous for being non-proud of this mean country, doesn’t want to seem ungrateful about her $600 rebate check (which, of course, she’s actually too rich to receive).

"You're getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't pay down every bill every month… Barack's approach is that the short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings."

$600 earrings? Wow. No wonder it’s tough for the Obamas to get by on their paltry six figure salaries.

Instead of spending her time at tiffanys.com, perhaps Michelle should read her own husband’s website. The first thing listed under his energy plan summary, is the $50 billion “Obama Second Stimulus” plan featuring “$300 per family in rebate checks.”

I thought Barack’s approach wasn’t that “short-term quick fix kinda stuff”?

You know, sure, that $300 might feel good at first, but picture poor Michelle walking around Chicago’s Miracle Mile of upscale shopping able to afford to wear only one lonely earring.

Chico *may* be able to buy ONE tank of diesel for his farm with $600.00. We haven't received a check. I didn't know there was an income limit on eligibility. We're not hurting, but our income now is all from having sold our business. We have to make like squirrels and save every penny in order to prepare for the hope of actually retiring. My husband is 85 and pretty pooped. I'm deaf so about the best job I could get would be door stop (if I paid my employer to allow me to do so).

I got my $600 stimulus check and bought a new Glock with it. I figured it was a pretty good way to stimulate the economy...

I spent my $600 on prostitutes and anabolic steroids.

JBS, be careful. The steroids will make your testicles shrink, but I'm sure the prostitutes won't care, as long as you pay them.

Husband -- I didn't get a stimulus check.
