We went out for a celebratory drink a couple weeks ago and decided to go downtown to Sandrini's. We had heard rumors of a pretty cool smoking room that is attached yet secluded from the main bar area. It had the feel of an old club back in the prohibition days, complete with a view of the bar. The perfect spot for a secret rendezvous, or in our case, just a group of friends. We were immediately sold by their impressive selection of beer in all varieties. On tap they had Boddingtons, Blue Moon & Smithwick's just to name a few. They have a list of over 100 different beers and a "secret" beer menu that changes seasonally. The beer is served ice cold and with the appropriate fruit (even orange slices).

Sandrini's is not just for beer lovers......they have an extensive Whiskey selection of over 80 bottles. After a couple pitchers we decided it was time to eat! We tried the chicken alfredo pizza and the sausage cheese bread, both appetizers were oh so yummy. We were there on a Thursday night which happened to be open mic night down there. We got to listen to some really good music during our mini pool tournament! Their only downfall is no happy hour, but they assured us that one is in the works, so stay tuned. We will definitely be back for a game of pool and a pint or two! Check out the link to their MySpace for a schedule of upcoming performances and events. http://profile.myspace.com/...
