Best place for a piece of pie?
Other than Marie Callendar's, is there any place in Kern County that serves a great variety of pies? Odd question, I know, for a place like Bakersfield you don't hear that to often. But I have been craving some really good pie and don't know of too many places around here that actually serve that sort of thing. If anyone knows a place, I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm a sucker for those cheap Hostess Cherry Pies, so put me down for the 7-11.

Bakers Square on Ming.   Plumberry's has an excellent stuffed pizza pie.

And coming soon...

Murray Family Farms is opening a bakery and pie shop (off Hwy 58 East)

My wife swears (a lot, but I digress) that Green Frog Market sells a Smith's Apricot pie that (oh there she goes again) that is tasty.

Hostess lemon or apple for me ...but they aren't all that cheap anymore.  1.39 the last I saw.  Gotta hit the day old store to get the good prices.

Marie stopped making the "cherry cream cheese whatever" I was told..that broke my heart.

When I am in the mood for a good piece of pie/dessert after a meal I head to Claim Jumpers over the hill...I know it's not in Bakersfield but they have the BEST apple cheese cake I have ever had. It's worth the drive...not to mention the 7 or 9 or whatever layer cake.

Milts on Knudsen drive for cobblers.

Smart and Final for a "baked" New York Cheesecake.
