Soup's on, but where
In our series of "where can I get something," this one is where can I get great soup in town?

While I love soup, I rarely order it out. The exception is Italian restaurants like Sorella's and Joseph's where I always order Minestrone soup.

But other places  always have soup as a regular feature. And I like the soup at The Great Castle.

Where is soup on for you?

Try the Raquet Club 0n Truxtun Ave. at lunchtime.  Great soup and definately not out of a can.

Woolgrower's...... Basque soup is the only soup in Bakersfield! Any other type of soup is for other cities!

I like the pho at Saigon. There are several varieties.  I often get take-out on a cold night.  They give you the broth, the meat, the noodles, the veggies, and the seasonings in separate packages so when you get home you can combine it yourself.

Check out the pho at Pho Vi on Union.  Yummmm.

(And don't forget to continue the conversation by checking out reviews, and writing your own, on the Inside Guide to Dining.)

Please email the Italian soup recipe that was in the Californian last week.  Thanks.
