NO WAY is this just "supply and demand." Don't even give me that tripe.
NO WAY is this just "supply and demand."  Don't even give me that tripe.
.
I'm about to do something that I have always been very resistant to doing: buy into a liberal conspiracy theory.
.
Who else has noticed that the price of gas has gouged upward 12 full cents since the election, just four days ago?
.
No way is this just supply and demand at work.  Don't even give me that oil-company apologetic garbage.
.
This is conscious, and this is deliberate.  It's just too freaky to be coincidental.
.
1.  Lower the gas prices to help get Republicans elected.
2.  Republicans lose control of Congress.
3.  Punish the people and gouge us while we're still powerless.
.
Watch out, gougers.  We're only powerless for two more months.
.

They were reformulating their gas for a Democratic takeover of Congress. Any time they have to reformulate, it takes several refineries out of production while they change the additives. Its all part of the normal process, and was an expected occurance. The refineries will be back on line in time for the "Holiday Shopping" driving season, when prices will reach about $3.30 a gallon because of increased demand.

I'm not even claiming to be psychic here H4F. This was a no brainer. You could see the price dropping as we got closer to the election. When gas last year topped over $3.34 in May and dropped almost a dollar in the next 6 months, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

No, no, you have it all wrong.  They're raising prices to protect their profits from all the tax increases the Democrats are about to smack them with.  You can't blame them for doing good business!  LOL

Funny; that's a good comeback.
