Some high school pranksters in Maryland have been messing with camera's too. 

" Students from Richard Montgomery High School dubbed the prank the Speed Camera "Pimping" game, according to a parent of a student enrolled at one of the high schools.

Originating from Wootton High School, the parent said, students duplicate the license plates by printing plate numbers on glossy photo paper, using fonts from certain websites that "mimic" those on Maryland license plates. They tape the duplicate plate over the existing plate on the back of their car and purposefully speed through a speed camera, the parent said. The victim then receives a citation in the mail days later.

Students are even obtaining vehicles from their friends that are similar or identical to the make and model of the car owned by the targeted victim, according to the parent. " 

Of course, this is irresponsible and dangerous, and I would discourage anybody from copying it,  but if someone were to use the license numbers of local politicians and traffic court judges...

More people should be destroying those cameras.

I think the best route would be for people to get involved in local government & get those damn cameras thrown out of their cities.

Those cameras are too profitable to remove.  If anything, we'll see more with the addition of speed cameras later.

The presence of cameras at intersections has decreased serious accidents, but has also caused a significant increase in minor accidents as over-cautious drivers slam their breaks to avoid the possibility of a ticket, even when the lights are green.

Like all encroachments of the police state, too few people are concerned, and most consider it okay, since it "increases" safety.  Naturally, this is true in the short-term, but few understand that nothing in world history is as deadly as a government mired in corruption.  Murderers and drunks kill tens of thousands every year, but corrupt governments can kill millions at a stroke.
