We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years......It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.

Infowar - > Crashing through the phony left-right paradigm -> O’ Reilly lies about global warming and makes Glenn Beck look like a genius
O’ Reilly lies about global warming and makes Glenn Beck look like a genius

Billo says “No” to Cap and Trade (and rightfully so), but ordains the reasoning behind it

O Reilly lies about global warming and makes Glenn Beck look like a genius untitled

On last night’s The O’ Reilly Factor, disinformation slugs O’ Reilly and Glenn Beck were discussing the Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (Cap and Trade). Brace yourself. This may be the first and last time you may ever see these two right about the same issue ever again.

Billo correctly called it a ‘con’ while Glenn Beck correctly stated that no matter what you believed about global warming, the Cap and Trade legislation will not do anything to solve the problem. A part of me just knew that one of these two goons couldn’t make it to the end of the segment without saying something idiotic or false. My intuition is still batting 1.000.

As Billo was telling Beck that he believed in global warming and acknowledging that Beck did not, Billo said, “I am gonna give you a thermometer for Christmas”. Beck correctly responded by telling Billo, “Temperature peaked 11 years ago. I was with you on global warming. I’ve said this over and over again…you have to be a dummy if you don’t look at the thermometer. The thermometer was showing that it was going up, k? Peaked 11 years ago”, to which O’ Reilly replied:

“Yeah, but the last, in the last 8 years, have been 7 of the warmest years on record”. Beck replies, “Don’t believe that’s true”, to which O’ Reilly says, “Yeah, it is, check it out, check it out, we did.”

Only O’ Reilly can make Glenn Beck look like an educated researcher. Of course, as is the case 99% of the time, O’ Reilly is incorrect. Since global temperatures reached its peak in 1998, temperatures dropped significantly in 1999 and 2000 and have risen some since, but leveled off steadily between 2003-2007 but dropped significantly again in 2008.

The chart below, which shows global temperatures since 1893, shows clearly that from right around 1910 until 1960 were our “warmest years on record”. Global temperatures rose again in the early 1970’s as well. Where were the global warming alarmists between 1910 and 1960, and again in the early 70’s? Nowhere. Why? Because temperatures fluctuate, that’s why. In fact, the temperatures have been taking a rapid decline recently.

O Reilly lies about global warming and makes Glenn Beck look like a genius 040408graph

Last year it was reported that North America had received it’s highest snowfall in over 50 years. Wisconsin was hit by it’s highest snowfall in recorded history. Other states like Florida, Minnesota and Texas also recorded sub-freezing temperatures. It was so bad in Texas early last year that the Dept. of State and Health Services had to issue this warning.

Early last year, China was hit with its coldest winter in 100 years and ironically, even FOX News reported Baghdad’s first snowfall ever. It appears that Billo needs the thermometer for Christmas!

The irony of O’ Reilly making the claim that “7 of the last 8 years” were “the warmest on record” and his anger over the Obama administration agenda to launch the biggest tax hike in the history of the United States is staggering. O’ Reilly is basically saying that he is angry that these criminals in Washington who want to do this to the American people, but he agrees as to their reasoning behind it!

Goodness, even Glenn Beck didn’t stoop that low!

If you say so Catpaw....you are always right. Go find some more of your pseudo science propaganda to make you feel better.

HA HA you forgot to mention how Polar Bears can't swim!!

It's so funny that people listen to those douchebags and believe every word that comes out of their mouths.

Wait, no it's actually not funny at all. They make people so ignorant it's sad. Politics aside, when you choose to misinform people for your own fame while demonizing your fellow Americans, you deserve a real TMZ style trainwreck.

I agree Pete. Beck & O'Lielly are both scumbag pieces of trash.

Let's see, info....I'm a sheep because I watch the History Channel; I read credible sources about climate shift. Here's the real brainwasher: I read Time magazine now and again.

Excuse me, gotta catch the flock. BAA

I think most rational people will agree about global warming.  They just disagree about it's cause.

Psuedo science? You mean we are being hoodwinked by every major scientific organization in the world? EVERY major organization. What, do they all have investments in Carrier or Amana stock? That's like saying our economic situation is hunky dory because the NYSE rose two points in the last week.

May I ask the source of this alleged projection chart?

It's EASY for others to sit on the sidelines and point out whats wrong and how they would have done things differently----AND I'M ONE OF THEM....

I don't know about you,but come football season--I make one heck of a armchair quarterback--having the luxury of a COLD BEER-remote--instant replay--and a toliet near by...but if you are in the game...you are getting the crap knocked out of you while advancing down field...see where I'm going with this....The Dems=Offense...GOP=Defense....

So I'm going to sit back and watch the game...and if it gets TOO crazy...I'll just change channels and watch Ghost Hunters....

Well, info, if the annual pack ice is diminished, there are less seals to ambush and the polar bear must swim to an island with a seal colony. Mamma bear has that endurance; a malnourished baby bear following its mother does not. So, in that respect polar bears can't swim. Observers have noted an increase of cub remains washed up on the shoreline. There are other causes and effects that threaten the polar bears, all related to global warming.

Don't forget the pontential for international conflict  with newly found waterways and land disputes in the nothern parts of Canada and Nordic regions.  It's not solely about environment, per se.  There is an economic element, too.

Don't let them find oil or diamonds up there.  It's going to be a hot mess (pun intended)!

Glaciers are growing, ice in thickening, Polar bears are growing in numbers, sigh, cap and trade is nothing more than a cash grab for Obama and Al Gore supporters, spend some time and read this page,

B.O. is a rectum clown  (ok, ok...both B.O.s are  lol).  He is so far down in the ratings, lost his talk show, that he will say ANYTHING to get a decent rating now a days.

Beck, on the other hand, knows what he is talking about, most of the time, like other Talk show hosts....they do have their "moments" though

Denial from the left, their biggest problem, read the links on the web page PP, its from scientists!, Sheesh, and learnem, Bill O'Reeilly is STILL #1, just like FOX News, I love it that this drives the liberals crazy,

Fox News Channel continued its ratings dominance in the just concluded second quarter. Compared to Q2 '08 FNC is up an astonishing 33% among Total Viewers and up 44% in the A25-54 demo in Total Day (Monday-Sunday). In primetime (Monday-Friday) the numbers are even more impressive: up 35% in Total Viewers and up 54% in younger viewers. FNC is on-track to have the highest rated year in the network's 13 year history.

In primetime, Fox News has more Total Viewers and younger viewers than MSNBC and CNN combined.

Fox News occupies the Top 10 spots on cable news among Total Viewers:

8pm - O'Reilly Factor — 3,188,000
9pm - Hannity — 2,341,000
5pm - Glenn Beck — 2,053,000
10pm - On the Record — 1,950,000
6pm - Special Report — 1,889,000
7pm - Fox Report — 1,757,000
11pm - O'Reilly Factor — 1,579,000
9am - America's Newsroom — 1,399,000
4pm - Your World — 1,389,000
3pm - Studio B — 1,169,000

Fox News is the #3 basic cable network in primetime - behind USA and TNT. CNN is #23 and MSNBC is #25, (guess the lesbian with the eye twitch isnt working out for them)

I went to mountainmans link and it's devoted to plugging and selling a book. The author Robert W. Felix's credentials is described as "science buff."  His main premise is subterranean volcanic activity is warming the ocean temps. and there is no global warming. (Or something.) He also asserts that ice ages are a cycle and the last one ended "exactly" 11,500 years ago. The world will be suddenly plunged into another catastrophic ice age any day, without warning.

I like how this site brings people together. Info has a friend.

posted by Mountianman on Jul 17, 2009 at 12:35 PM

catspaw, (nice Star Trek episode), thats not all whats the link is about, just plugging a book, it is many Climatologist's, and scientist's links for climate data, its just the other facts that Al Gore dosent want people to know about, are we heading for an Ice Age?, no, but, are there other facts we should look at?, yes, take some time and read some of the articals on there, stop hanging your hat on everything Al Gore says as gosple truth, he in it for the money. Cap and trade will be a disaster for this country, but make money for Al and other companies lining up in Obamas favour

posted by catpaw on Jul 18, 2009 at 07:51 AM

I recently posted a quote from a source that said warming Arctic water will affect the circulation of the Gulf Stream (which to a degree has already happened). This in turn can trigger a severe winter in northern Europe, to the point of being catastrophic. I imagine to people caught up in this extreme it will seem like a sudden ice age. That threat is a real one.

To say it is caused because the earth's average temps are cooling rather than warming and caused by a natural cycle is making a presumption based on misinterpreted data. Anyone who believes man-made pollution has not contributed to global warming is beyond naive. It is outright denial of factual conclusions.

As to the polar bears, I think the increase is due to migration rather than increased reproduction, as some locales report a decrease in the bear population. Environmental change will allow some animals to thrive and threaten others. One would think that an increase in the seal population would benefit polar bears, but that is not happening. Meantime, the brown bears and grizzly bears are not only increasing but ranging further north.

Some penguin species in Antarctica are thriving while others are declining at an alarming rate. True, some ice is accumulating on that continent but overall the ice shelf is shrinking.

The jury is still out on what changes are underway and how they will eventually resolve. There is reason to think that the north/south magnetic polarity is reversing. Geological evidence clearly shows that this has happened in the past.

And no, Al Gore is not the know-all prophet of climate shift, movies and awards notwithstanding. He is as much a mercenary "science buff" as Robert Felix. He can't make predictions better than you or me. We cannot be sure that reducing the use of fossil fuels will make a difference; that might be too little too late. We can be sure, however, that doing nothing and not acknowledging that the world environment is changing will be the worst catastrophe of all.
