CLIMATE BOMBSHELL: Hacker leaks thousands of emails showing conspiracy to "hide" the real data on manmade climate change
A hacker has leaked thousands of emails and documents from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University that appear to show how climate change data was fudged and the peer review process skewed to favor the manmade climate change hypothesis.
The link to the data appears to have been posted to a number of climate science websites yesterday by an anonymous hacker or insider going by the name "FOIA," an apparent allusion to the Freedom of Information Act in the United States. One of the first sites where the 62 MB file was posted was The Air Vent. It was soon picked up by Watts Up With That, Climate Audit and other climate science sites.
The information contained in the leaked emails and documents are as shocking as they are damning of the scientists who have been most vocal about the manmade global warming scare. Some of the excerpts include this email, purportedly from Phil Jones to researchers including Michael Mann of "Mann's hockey stick" fame:

I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline. Mike's series got the annual land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999 for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.

This is truly awful. GRL has gone downhill rapidly in recent years.
I think the decline began before Saiers. I have had some unhelpful dealings with him recently with regard to a paper Sarah and I have on glaciers — it was well received by the referees, and so is in the publication pipeline. However, I got the impression that Saiers was trying to keep it from being published.
Proving bad behavior here is very difficult. If you think that Saiers is in the greenhouse skeptics camp, then, if we can find documentary evidence of this, we could go through official AGU channels to get him ousted. Even this would be difficult.
How different is the GRL paper from the Nature paper? Did the authors counter any of the criticisms? My experience with Douglass is that the identical (bar format changes) paper to one previously rejected was submitted to GRL.

Establishment efforts to kill move toward Fed transparency are crushed
The Federal Reserve attack dogs are out in full force today following Congressman Ron Paul’s decisive victory in the battle to bring transparency to the privately owned central bank.
The House Financial Services Committee passed the amendment to increase Federal Reserve transparency in an overwhelming and bipartisan vote of 43 to 26.
The amendment, sponsored by Ron Paul and Democratic Representative Alan Grayson, mandates a genuine and full probing audit of the Fed.
The Committee rejected the parallel amendment introduced by Congressman Mel Watt (D-NC) which would have severely limited the audit, “gutting” Ron Paul’s H.R. 1207 bill as the Congressman put it, and paving the way for further Fed secrecy.
Key Committee Democrats such as Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) who had previously expressed support for an audit, had moved behind the Watt amendment at the behest of banking industry and Fed officials, as well as the Democratic leadership.
Had the alternative provision passed, those individuals would have succeeded in appearing to support transparency while actually protecting the Fed from any real examination.
The success is significant because it proves beyond doubt that there is true bipartisan support for H.R. 1207. Barney Frank had pushed for a no vote on the Paul/Grayson amendment, but 15 Democrats defied him to vote with Ron Paul.
The vote acknowledges the fact that representatives on both sides of the political spectrum are sick to the back teeth of the the incessant pillaging of America’s economic security by a handful of financial elites who have bought and paid for the leadership of both parties.
The power the Fed now holds has vastly increased over the past twelve months owing to the fall out of the financial crisis, yet it continues to operate in total secrecy. Its chairman and other officials act as if their unfettered power is a god given right, and they express loathing and contempt when they are simply asked to describe and explain their actions to Congress and the American people.
The establishment was forced to move against the tide of momentum to audit the Fed by introducing it’s own watered down legislation. However, they acted too late and they have been thoroughly crushed.
“Today was Waterloo for Fed secrecy,” a victorious Grayson noted following the vote.
“We are happy to see the Financial Services Committee preserve a measure to bring true Fed transparency,” said John Tate, President of Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty. “This amendment helps to ensure that real and complete audit legislation remains unaltered, and from here on out we will continue to push for a standalone floor vote of H.R. 1207.”
In addition, a further bill sponsored by Grayson and Paul also passed – this requires written concurrence by the Treasury Secretary prior to the Fed engaging in a foreign currency swap.
Predictably, in response to this victory, the Fed has come out in force in today’s press with former chairmen Alan Greenspan and Paul Volcker, along with former vice chairman Alan S. Blinder all penning attack pieces about how harmful the move to audit the Fed remains.
While Binder’s piece appeared in the Washington Post, Greenspan and Volcker sent their letter to the Financial Committee’s chairman and ranking Republicans.
Knowing that the tired counter of “this is harmful to the Fed’s independence” would be wheeled out again, Ron Paul addressed his detractors on the issue during the hearings yesterday, making it clear that the argument holds no weight, noting that H.R. 1207 and the amendment are not about regulation of the Federal Reserve, the powers it holds or political influence on monetary policy.
“‘Independence’ means secrecy, it doesn’t mean anything else.” Paul noted.
“We live in an age where the American people are sick and tired of this. They are sick and tired of secret government and government out of control and Congress passing TARP funds and on and on with nobody knowing what happened.” the Congressman asserted.

Thanks to your quick action in contacting Congress, the House Financial Services Committee earlier today rejected Representative Mel Watt’s attempt to hijack Audit the Fed by voting 43-26 to pass Ron Paul’s amendment to the financial regulatory reform bill.
Dr. Paul called me right after the vote to personally express his thanks to C4L members for all of your efforts!
It is an incredible testament to the growing power of the liberty movement that we were able to get such an audit passed by a major House committee, but this is by no means the end of our fight.
Financial Services leadership has seemed determined for several months that if an audit of the Fed were to get out of Committee, it should be attached to an overall regulatory reform package that would actually increase the powers of the Fed to interfere in our economy.
Congressman Paul’s amendment gives the Government Accountability Office power to conduct a thorough audit of the Fed’s entire $2 trillion balance sheet and replaces the Watt language that would have further restricted GAO audits of the Federal Reserve.
While this is a victory over an attempted hijacking of our cause, the audit authority is still being rolled into the Financial Stability Improvement Act, a bill that Campaign for Liberty will oppose.
This Act will be voted on as soon as the Committee returns from its Thanksgiving break, and we will then know if it will move to the floor.
And it’s already becoming clear that Ron Paul’s amendment may face challenges on the House floor.
Now is the time to turn up the pressure!

In a CNN segment airing today, Jim Acosta assures us there are no FEMA detention camps and Obama will not take away the guns of law-abiding Americans.
CNN continues its well-oiled propaganda campaign against the patriot movement with a segment on the Oath Keepers. CNN’s Jim Acosta profiles the organization’s founder, Stewart Rhodes, nearly a month after MSNBC attack dog Chris Matthews had him on his show and attempted to portray the Oath Keepers as a radical organization of crazed radicals that poses a threat to the nation.
Acosta is somewhat more gentle in his presentation, but the message is analogous to the one presented by Matthews — Rhodes and the Oath Keepers are dangerous, particularly in regard to U.S. military personnel. The CNN segment cites the Department of Homeland Security’s report on supposed “rightwing extremism” warning that veterans and active duty soldiers may fall under the sway of white supremacists — who we are told hate Obama because of his skin color — and dangerous anti-government militants.
In order to drive home the looming threat of the Oath Keepers, the CNN piece contains an interview with Mark Potok, propaganda minister of the Southern Poverty Law Center. Potok, who habitually makes the rounds on MSNBC and CNN, tells Acosta the Oath Keepers are “exploiting false rumors found on fringe websites” such as Infowars and Prison Planet (although Acosta and Potok do not mention Alex Jones’ flagship websites by name).
Acosta, however, does mention Alex Jones’ latest documentary, Fall of the Republic, which he characterizes as an “anti-Obama” film. In fact, Fall of the Republic downplays the importance of Barack Obama and documents his role as a front-man for the global elite and the bankster cartel. Acosta and CNN attempt to forge a link between Fall of the Republic and the Oath Keepers promise to obey and protect the Constitution, not a particular president.
At the end of the segment, CNN tells us there is “no proof” of detention camps or a plan by the government to outlaw weapons.
As Infowars and Prison Planet have documented on numerous occasions, there is indeed evidence of government detention camps. Legislation currently working through Congress mandates the establishment of “national emergency centers” to be located on military installations. As Steve Waston noted in March, the purpose of such facilities is to provide “temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster,” the expansion of which under FEMA is codified under HR 645, otherwise known as the National Emergency Centers Act.
In 2006, the Army Corps of Engineers awarded a contract worth up to $385 million to build “temporary immigration detention centers” to Kellogg Brown & Root, a Halliburton subsidiary. The camps were built for the Department of Homeland Security.
“The real agenda, just as it is with Halliburton’s gulags, [under the government's Rex 84 and numerous other programs is] to use the cover of rounding up immigrants and illegal aliens as a smokescreen for targeting political dissidents. From 1967 to 1971 the FBI kept a list of persons to be rounded up as subversive, dubbed the ‘ADEX’ list,” writes Watson. The ADEX list no longer exists — in recent years, it was replaced by a sprawling terrorist database that contains the names of well over a million Americans.
The claim that the Obama administration and its Democrat allies are not working to outlaw guns for law-abiding Americans is a lie countered by an avalanche of evidence. According to Alan Korwin, author of Gun Laws of America, Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, wrote a brief in the District of Columbia Heller case supporting the position that Americans have no right to possess working firearms.
Last week the Obama administration signaled it intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for Americans through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations.”By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms,” explains Real Conservatives. The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of the Bush administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better, according to Reuters.
In November of 2008, before Obama was selected, Infowars documented his long history of opposition to the Second Amendment. Obama was on the board of the anti-gun Joyce Foundation, the largest funding source for radical anti-gun groups in the country. In 1996, he supported a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns. He proposed a 500 percent increase in the excise taxes on firearms and ammunition. In 2003, Obama voted in support of legislation that would have banned privately owned hunting shotguns, target rifles and black powder rifles in Illinois. In 2004, he voted against legislation intended to protect homeowners from prosecution in cases where they used a firearm to halt a home invasion.
Earlier today, Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson wrote about an ADL campaign to demonize Jones and portray him as a menace. “The tone of the ADL’s hit piece basically implies that Alex Jones and his ilk are such a threat to the establishment that they should be removed from society, which ironically is exactly how Hitler dealt with his political enemies in Nazi Germany. The ADL is allegorically pinning a yellow star on ‘conspiracy theorists,’ Oath Keepers, Tea Party protesters, and anyone else who dares express dissent in response to the financial looting of the country or Barack Obama’s big government agenda,” Jones and Watson wrote.
CNN and MSNBC, in league with the government, are determined to wipe out or at best hobble the patriot movement through mischaracterization, innuendo, and outright lies. CNN’s “series” on the “militia movement” — and the Oath Keepers is not a militia, as Rhodes noted — is only an opening chapter in the frontal assault of the elite’s ongoing war against truth and the First Amendment.
With the increasingly discredited notion of man-made global warming crashing and burning on a daily basis, climate alarmists are being forced to accelerate their fearmongering to unprecedented levels. With the evidence failing to match up to the doomsday proclamations, Al Gore has turned to photoshop in order to make a CO2-choked earth look scary enough to sell his cap and trade scam.
The latest example of climate cult fakery comes in the form of the front cover of Al Gore’s new book, Our Choice; A Plan To Solve The Climate Crisis.
Shortly after the devastation of Katrina, Al Gore was busy making a correlation between hurricanes and global warming in an effort to drive home his claim that higher global CO2 emissions cause an increase in extreme weather events. The cover art for Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth, features an image of a hurricane rising out of a smoke stack.
Seemingly underwhelmed that there have been no major hurricanes since Katrina, along with the fact that global hurricane activity is now at a thirty year low, Gore came up with an ingenious method of solving the problem of the lack of scary depictions of frightening hurricanes to display on his book – simply airbrush them in!
Ryan Maue, hurricane expert from the University of Florida writes:
The cover opens and closes half and half — so you only see one hurricane…as in the press release photo or the one on Amazon.
But this is the real picture sequence from the book which I looked at Borders today and took cell-phone pictures, original (before the retouching by some “artist”) Note all of the Arctic ice and the size of the Florida Peninsula…
And the final product:
A midget Southern Hemisphere cyclone is off the coast of Florida, another hurricane is sitting on the equator off the coast of Peru — and the Arctic Ice is gone (perhaps it is summer) and the Florida Peninsula is half gone
There are other differences I am sure you can find — but the hurricanes are just nonsense…
Despite the fact that CO2 levels are at their highest for 15 million years, just like global temperatures, hurricane activity has dropped off dramatically, as the graph below illustrates.
Gore has now dropped the presentation from his slideshow claiming a link between CO2 emissions and hurricanes.
There is a clear correlation between the natural ebb and flow of global temperatures and hurricanes, but none whatsoever with human CO2 emissions. As many skeptics have attempted to highlight, in the face of official intimidation and quasi-religious decrees that “the debate is over,” temperature levels prompted by natural factors leads the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, not the other way around.
With his invention of scary hurricanes for the purposes of his book, Gore is merely following his new ethos that “Simply laying out the facts won’t work,” in the attempt to corral a highly skeptical public into believing claims about man-made global warming.
This represents another grasping at straws as Gore adapts his propaganda into the form of a religious sermon in a desperate effort to claw back rapidly evaporating poll numbers that show 20% of Americans have changed their minds over the last three years and become man-made global warming skeptics.
As we have exhaustively documented, Gore’s motivation for grossly overstating the impact of CO2 emissions goes a lot deeper than his professed love for the planet.
Since he left office, Gore’s personal net worth has skyrocketed on the back of his advocacy for global warming issues and the financial dividends this has reaped. Gore’s assets totaled less than $2 million in 2001 and although he refuses to give a figure for his current net worth, a recent single investment of $35 million in Capricorn Investment Group, a private equity fund, illustrates just how fast Gore has enriched himself from his climate change bandwagon.
As we reported back in March, before he became President, Barack Obama also helped fund the profiteers of the carbon taxation program that he is now seeking to implement as law.
The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) has direct ties to both Al Gore and Maurice Strong, two figures intimately involved with a long standing movement to use the theory of man made global warming as a mechanism for profit and social engineering. Gore’s investment company, Generation Investment Management, which sells carbon offset opportunities, is the largest shareholder of CCX.
Maurice Strong, who is regularly credited as founding father of the modern environmental movement, serves on the board of directors of CCX. Strong was a leading initiate of the Earth Summit in the early 90s, where the theory of global warming caused by CO2 generated by human activity was most notably advanced.
Both Strong and Gore come from the Club of Rome clique, who in their 1991 Report, “The First Global Revolution” openly admitted how they were planning to exploit the contrived hoax of global warming in order to further their agenda.
“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.,” they wrote.
Gore’s defense against claims that he is peddling fearmongering about global warming to get filthy rich, and one dutifully supported by the NY Times’ whitewash report, is that he is simply putting his money where his mouth is.
However, Gore’s insistence that he is walking the walk, not just talking the talk, doesn’t seem to extend to his own private life in the context of energy conservation and CO2 emissions. While lecturing the world about reducing CO2 emissions and saving energy, Gore’s own mansion uses 20 times the energy of the average American home.
In February 2007, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research revealed that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president’s 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours. These figures were not disputed by Gore.
“If this were any other person with $30,000-a-year in utility bills, I wouldn’t care,” said the Center’s 27-year-old president, Drew Johnson. “But he tells other people how to live and he’s not following his own rules.”

On his nationally syndicated radio show today, Rush Limbaugh mentioned an article written by Paul Joseph Watson and posted on Prison Planet and Infowars. In With Hurricanes At Thirty Year Low, Gore Turns To Photoshop, Watson details the fakery of Al Gore in his attempt to ram cap and trade world enslavement down the throats of the people.
Rush Limbaugh has a huge audience and his mention of Al Gore’s trickery is positive for the growing opposition to the one-world agenda. In the past, Limbaugh has attacked Prison Planet and Alex Jones.

Fines for too-tall grass could rise to $1,000 a day in Jupiter

JUPITER — An overgrown lawn could cost a homeowner $1,000 a day.
A plan to quadruple the penalty from the current maximum of $250 per day for a first violation is scheduled for consideration at Tuesday night's town council meeting.
A repeat violation by the same person would be boosted to $5,000 a day maximum from $500 per day.
If the code enforcement board finds that the violation is irreversible — the unapproved removal of an historic tree, for example — the violator would face a maximum fine of $15,000. The current maximum penalty is $5,000.
"That's outrageous," said Stefan Harzen, a member of the property owners association for the Woodland Estates neighborhood. Increasing the fines will not result in prettier neighborhoods, he said. "This is an easy way for the town to get more money," Harzen said.
Higher penalties are needed to deter flagrant violators, said Councilman Robert Friedman. A landlord who allows too many people to live in a house simply sees the current fine as a cost of doing business, he said.
"Code enforcement needs a larger hammer," Friedman said.
Last year Jupiter's seven-person Code Enforcement Division collected about $39,000 in fines, according to town records.
The increase is being considered because once a town exceeds 50,000 people, state law says it can adopt higher penalties, according to a Nov. 9 memo from Building Department Director Robert Lecky to Town Manager Andy Lukasik. The town's population as of April 1 was 50,275, according to the University of Florida Bureau of Economic and Business Research.
The town code regulates items such as when garbage cans can be placed outside, noise volume, parking of boats, heights of fences, the number of tenants and landscaping. Lawns cannot be higher than eight inches in developed residential areas.
"The higher maximum gives us more discretion in levying the penalty," said Code Enforcement Director Frank Melillo.

The ADL has launched a new purge against its political enemies in the form of a major report that equates skepticism and distrust of government with “a toxic atmosphere of rage,” which is threatening to boil over in the form of violence, specifically targeting Alex Jones as “The Conspiracy King” and inferring that people upset with Barack Obama’s policies are potential mass murderers.
The tone of the ADL’s hit piece basically implies that Alex Jones and his ilk are such a threat to the establishment that they should be removed from society, which ironically is exactly how Hitler dealt with his political enemies in Nazi Germany. The ADL is allegorically pinning a yellow star on “conspiracy theorists,” Oath Keepers, Tea Party protesters, and anyone else who dares express dissent in response to the financial looting of the country or Barack Obama’s big government agenda.
And what does the ADL consider to be the criteria for those it claims are intent on carnage and bloodshed in the vein of cop killer Richard Poplawski? A belief that, “There is a conspiracy by malevolent globalists to take over the world and institute a “New World Order”.
So essentially by pointing out the fact that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon writes op-eds for the New York Times calling for “global governance,” and highlighting the hundreds of mainstream news reports about the move towards world government and a one world currency which are published every single day, makes one a dangerous extremist and a crackpot according to the ADL.
Another insane fringe belief according to the ADL is the notion that, “Conspiratorial figures such as “international bankers” and entities ranging from the Federal Reserve to the Council on Foreign Relations to the Bilderberg Group are engaged in a variety of strategies to take over (or extend their hold over) the government and to strip Americans of their rights.”
That’s right, believing that powerful secretive groups which meet in secret, groups composed of the most influential power brokers on the planet, might talk about ways to expand their power to the detriment of the American people is another “fringe” belief suggesting the individual harboring such thoughts is intent on mass murder.
The true significance of this gargantuan hit piece on Alex Jones and the patriot movement is the fact that the establishment has firmly moved away from ignorance and ridicule and is now directly targeting us for elimination – an effective purge of the undesirables – by implying we want to commit violence and should therefore be neutralized by the authorities.
The fact that we have constantly urged unity and discouraged division, while promoting a peaceful message of non-violence, has infuriated the increasingly incensed establishment because as their credibility has collapsed, ours has grown in leaps and bounds – and as a result their agenda is beginning to stall.
For the first time, the ADL and their cohorts are acknowledging that the grass roots has the power to stop their agenda for world government in its tracks. This represents a massive sea change and proves that we are having an important impact, but it also serves as a warning because it’s glaringly obvious that the establishment is now committed to taking us down, either by means of character assassination, set-up, or worse.
The globalists are intent on smearing us as racist, violent, crazies hell-bent on bloodshed – when in reality they are engaged in desperate character assassination because they are petrified at the sheer numbers of people we are waking up to their tyranny.
This isn’t the only motive the ADL has in attempting to make the case that there are hordes of angry Americans waiting to commit violence. As Jewish scholar Norman G. Finkelstein exposes in his global bestseller The Holocaust Industry, establishment Zionist organizations like the ADL have fleeced billions by manufacturing the perception that there are legions of extremist hate criminals everywhere that need to be tackled by the authorities. The ADL needs to create enemies and bogeymen where none exist in order to justify their own existence and to continue to attract funding.
Now that global anti-semitism is on the wane, the ADL has resolved to ceaselessly fearmonger about “conspiracy theorists” and American taxpayers who merely express anger about how they have been financially raped by the multi-trillion dollar bailout and the continued looting of the economy by private central banks and offshore cartels.
The ADL report, which has been parroted by the Jerusalem Post and CBS News, is heavy on insinuation yet woefully lightweight on any hard evidence to back up their contention that politically disenfranchised Americans are planning on committing violence.
The only concrete example they can muster is that of cop killer Richard Poplawski, who the ADL claims was prompted to gun down Pittsburgh Police Bureau officers by his embrace of “conspiracy theories”. In reality, the tragic incident was sparked by a domestic dispute after Poplawski’s mother called the cops on him because his dog had urinated on the floor. Poplawski did not set out to kill cops because he believed in “conspiracy theories,” but that didn’t stop the ADL and others shamefully exploiting the tragic episode in a crass attempt to demonize their political adversaries.
From the word go, the ADL seized upon the fact that Poplawski had posted a few comments on Infowars, and in the days after the shootings were busy concocting their own conspiracy theories about how the carnage was inspired by Poplawski’s extremist views and his affinity with Alex Jones.
However, in his comments, the cop killer was actually expressing opposition to Alex Jones’ anti-racist political viewpoint and encouraging others to be suspicious of Jones’ motives in bringing people of all races together to stand up to tyranny and corruption. After numerous other blogs and websites parroted the same smear, several, including Raw Story and Daily Kos later issued retractions, acknowledging that Poplawski’s ideology was in opposition to that espoused by Jones.
Even aside from the fact that Poplawski was a critic, not a supporter of Jones, let us suppose that an ardent supporter of Barack Obama goes out and commits a crime – does that mean Obama himself is to blame? The ADL’s pathetic guilt-by-association smear doesn’t even stand up to the most basic scrutiny.
This was not the first time that the ADL has attempted to classify Alex Jones and his websites as hate material. Several years ago they attempted a similar stunt and were later forced to back down and retract their statements after Jones sent them a letter informing them of their slanderous accusations which were libel.
It is also noteworthy that clear evidence points to the ADL having had a significant influence in the writing of the controversial MIAC report, which equated Ron Paul supporters, libertarians and people who display political bumper stickers with domestic terrorists and hate groups. The report later had to be completely withdrawn after numerous different parties threatened lawsuits on the back of the report’s ludicrous assertions that third party political candidates Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin were somehow tied in with white supremacists and people like OKC bomber Timothy McVeigh and Olympic Park bomber Eric Rudolph.
The only other tenuous example the ADL can dredge up in an attempt to demonize the patriot movement as potentially violent is the story of Nancy Genovese, a “New York woman whose conspiratorial beliefs led to her arrest for trespassing on an Air National Guard base,” states the ADL report.
In another section of the report, the ADL is forced to state that Genovese was “allegedly trespassing” on a nearby Air National Guard base, because, as reports state, Genovese was not trespassing at all since she was “outside the Gabreskie Airport ANG facility,” when she was arrested. The report also fixates on the fact that Genovese owned guns despite the fact that they were lawfully registered and Genovese had no prior criminal record.
The sum of Genovese’s crime was essentially taking photographs of a military base from public property. The ADL insinuates that this equates to the notion that Genovese was planning some kind of rampage influenced by “conspiracy theories,” when no such motive can possibly be proven to exist.
The smattering of other examples the ADL cites to argue its case consist of off-hand comments on the Infowars and Prison Planet websites made in response to stories about police brutality. In each case, vague threats of retribution lead to nothing whatsoever, but that doesn’t stop the ADL highlighting them as indicative of a deadly orgy of violence waiting to explode.
Similar outrage was noticeably lacking when a Southern Poverty Law Center proponent left comments on the SPLC website calling for Alex Jones to be executed.
Of course, the irony behind the establishment constantly invoking domestic terrorism and appropriating it with the patriot movement is the fact that all the major acts of violence in connection with the militia movement during the 1990’s were committed by the government and federal agents.
It was an FBI sniper that killed Randy Weaver’s son and also his wife as she was holding their 10-month-old baby while running for cover during the Ruby Ridge standoff in 1992.
It was the BATF that burned the Branch Davidian ranch to the ground, killing seventy-six people including more than 20 children and two pregnant women, during the Waco massacre in 1993.
And it was high level FBI officials that groomed Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh in the run up to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building in 1995.
McVeigh’s accomplice Terry Nichols’ revelation that McVeigh was being steered by a high-level FBI official are supported by a plethora of evidence that proves McVeigh did not act alone and that authorities had prior warnings and were complicit in the bombing.
This is the true history of “domestic terrorism” and the militia movement. In every instance, the terrorism has been carried out by the government and the militia movement or the patriot movement have either been the victims or the patsies, but don’t expect the ADL to acknowledge that fact.
And now for the good news – if the establishment is so rapidly losing credibility and their agenda is stalling to the point where they have to move in the heavy artillery to aggressively attack a relatively unknown Texas radio talk show host, then there can be no doubt that we are having a massive impact.
Despite the fact that the military-industrial complex owns and controls every single mainstream media outlet in America, allied with the sprawling propaganda programs and billions of dollars in ‘fake news’ they produce, they are still losing the battle for the minds of the American people to a comparatively rag-tag group of alternative media outlets on the Internet. This is why they have to resort to such gargantuan yet hopelessly flimsy demonization campaigns in order to create a chilling atmosphere and prevent more people coming over to our side.
By characterizing our political viewpoints as indicative of violent extremists, the ADL and their cohorts are desperately trying to turn off more people from joining our ranks and becoming informed.
The fact is, it’s just not going to work. The establishment has lost all credibility and them attacking us only makes us look better – it validates everything we are saying as accurate. If we weren’t such a threat to the establishment’s agenda then they would just ignore us. We are taking the flak and this means that we must have the new world order running scared.
The levels that they are being forced to go to in an effort to purge our influence from the arena of political discourse only reflects on how weak their position is and how much trouble their agenda is now in.
Addressing the ADL and their cohorts directly, we say this; The people are wise to your game – your pathetic and vacuous smears about white supremacists and violent extremists may have worked in the 1990’s but this is a new century and a new era – the era of humanity reclaiming its spiritual independence and freedom from blood-sucking parasites like you that have attempted to crush free speech at every turn because you are petrified that millions of souls are now beginning to see the true nature of what you represent.
Though you may ultimately tear us down in whatever way you deem necessary, the truth is that ideas are bulletproof, and our legacy will live on through those that come after us while your empire of lies and deceit will inevitably come crashing down as the world emerges into a new age of enlightenment and throws off the chains of slavery imposed on humanity by the process of the dark agenda that you front for.

Rage Grows in America: Anti-Government Conspiracies -
The Anti-Defamation League has published a fresh report directly targeting Alex Jones as an “extremist” and “The King of conspiracy”, lumping in the information contained on this website with the actions of racists and white supremacists.
There is, as usual, one major problem with the ADL’s report – it is devoid of any empirical fact and based entirely on the group’s desire to create the impression that huge swathes of politically disgruntled Americans are violent conspiratorial-minded bigots that they must expose and counter.
“With conspiracy talk-show host Alex Jones leading the way, one of the most disturbing trends in 2009 has been the resurrection and proliferation of some of the same anti-government conspiracy theories that so riled up domestic extremists in the 1990s.” the ADL writes.
The organisation defines three major issues as “conspiracy theories” that exist only in the mind of paranoid delusional extremists. They are:
Imposition of Martial Law. The federal government is plotting to declare martial law in the near future as a way to strip Americans of their freedoms and institute the New World Order. The government may utilize or even manufacture a crisis, such as the swine flu epidemic, in order to have an excuse for imposing martial law.
Gun Confiscation. The government is plotting to embark upon a massive program of gun confiscation, going door to door to take firearms away from American citizens so that they will be unable to resist the New World Order. Police, the military and even foreign troops may be used in the gun confiscation efforts.
FEMA Concentration Camps. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has constructed hundreds of concentration camps in the United States, designed to hold “dissidents” and other American citizens following some imminent crackdown such as a declaration of martial law.
Let’s take each one of these topics and provide some much needed context that is sorely missing from the ADL’s slapped together hit piece.
With regards to martial law and the idea that a crisis could be used to impose it, the ADL should consider speaking with Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman of California’s 27th congressional district and Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma.
Sherman has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1997 and also serves on the Committee on Financial Services along with Texas Congressman Ron Paul, whom the ADL ludicrously refer to in their report as “a far right icon”.
In early October 2008, Sherman told the House that he personally knew of several Congressional representatives who have said they were threatened with the prospect of all out martial law should they vote in opposition to the $700 billion bailout that was eventually passed just over one year ago.
“The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere. That atmosphere is not justified.” Sherman stated.
“Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, another couple of thousand the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no.” The Congressman continued.
A few weeks later, Senator James Inhofe named Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson as the source of the threat of martial law. Inhofe revealed that Paulson made the threat during a conference call on September 19th, around two weeks before the legislation was eventually approved by both the Senate and Congress.

In addition, the U.S. has been in a declared state of national emergency for over 8 years. During that time it has emerged in several officially released reports, FOIA acquired documents and leaked government memos that preparation and planning is in the works for martial law style scenarios.
Most recently Barack Obama declared a second national state of emergency with regards to the swine flu epidemic. A national emergency allows normal legal procedures regarding a certain issue to be sidelined, should the federal government deem it necessary. Yet to even suggest that might be a fact means you could be a mass murderer in the ADL’s eyes.
Franks outlined the scenario by which martial law would be put in place, saying, “It means the potential of a weapon of mass destruction and a terrorist, massive, casualty-producing event somewhere in the Western world – it may be in the United States of America – that causes our population to question our own Constitution and to begin to militarize our country in order to avoid a repeat of another mass, casualty-producing event. Which in fact, then begins to unravel the fabric of our Constitution. Two steps, very, very important.”
The threat of martial law is real, even if the imposition of martial law is yet to become a reality, yet to the ADL it is “extremist” to point out these straight forward facts.
The second paranoid delusional theory according to the ADL is gun confiscation.
The ADL says it is an extremist’s fantasy that police and military could be used to confiscate guns in the wake of a national emergency. However, this is exactly what happened in New Orleans in the wake of hurricane Katrina in 2005, as the following video comprised of news footage, eyewitness statements and police press conferences outlines:

The third “extremist conspiracy theory”, according to the ADL, is the existence of FEMA camps. An anti-government delusional or a real and pressing issue? Unlike the ADL, we will provide some evidence rather than what “someone wrote on a forum” to help you decide.
The purpose of such facilities is to provide “temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster,” the expansion of which under FEMA is codified under HR 645, otherwise known as the National Emergency Centers Act.
Ominously, the bill states that the camps can be used to “meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security,” an open ended mandate which many fear could mean the forced detention of American citizens in the event of widespread rioting after a national emergency or total economic collapse.
The issue of containment camps re-gained national attention three years ago when it was announced that Kellogg, Brown and Root had been awarded a $385 million dollar contract by Homeland Security to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency.
The language of the preamble to the agreement veils the program with talk of temporary migrant holding centers, but it is made clear that the camps will also be used “as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency.”
Following the story, first given wide attention by Prisonplanet.com, the Alternet website put together an alarming report that collated all the latest information on plans to initiate internment of political subversives and Muslims after the next major terror attack in the US.
The article highlighted the disturbing comments of Sen. Lindsey Graham, who encouraged torture supporting then Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to target, “Fifth Columnists” Americans who show disloyalty and sympathize with “the enemy,” whoever that enemy may be.
It is important to stress that the historical precedent mirrors exactly what the Halliburton camp deal outlines. Oliver North’s Reagan era Rex 84 plan proposed rounding up 400,000 refugees, under FEMA, in the event of “uncontrolled population movements” over the Mexican border into the United States.
The real agenda, just as it is with Halliburton’s gulags, was to use the cover of rounding up immigrants and illegal aliens as a smokescreen for targeting political dissidents. From 1967 to 1971 the FBI kept a list of persons to be rounded up as subversive, dubbed the “ADEX” list.
As recently highlighted by author Naomi Wolf, the National Counterterrorism Center holds the names of close to one million “terror suspects” with the number increasing by 20,000 per month.
Discussions of federal concentration camps are no longer the rhetoric of paranoid Internet conspiracy theorists, they are mainstream news.
Furthermore, a much discussed and circulated report, the Pentagon’s Civilian Inmate Labor Program, has recently been updated and the revision details a “template for developing agreements” between the Army and corrections facilities for the use of civilian inmate labor on Army installations.”
The plan is clearly to swallow up disenfranchised groups like prisoners, immigrants and Muslims at first and then extend the policy to include ‘Fifth Columnists,’ otherwise known as anyone who disagrees with the government or exercises their Constitutional rights.
Respected author Peter Dale Scott speculated that the “detention centers could be used to detain American citizens if the Bush administration were to declare martial law.”
Daniel Ellsberg, former Special Assistant to Assistant Secretary of Defense, called the plan, “preparation for a roundup after the next 9/11 for Mid-Easterners, Muslims and possibly dissenters. They’ve already done this on a smaller scale, with the ’special registration’ detentions of immigrant men from Muslim countries, and with Guantanamo.”
Furthermore, In 2002, FEMA sought bids from major real estate and engineering firms to construct giant internment facilities in the case of a chemical, biological or nuclear attack or a natural disaster.
Okanogan County Commissioner Dave Schulz went public in 2003 with his contention that his county was set to be a location for one of the camps.
Furthermore, in May 2006, we exposed the existence of a nationwide FEMA program which is training Pastors and other religious representatives to become secret police enforcers who teach their congregations to “obey the government” in preparation for the implementation of martial law, property and firearm seizures, mass vaccination programs and forced relocation.
This program is continuing under the Obama administration with churches declaring that Barack Obama’s presidency is appointed by God and that Obama himself is “God’s minister”.
Of course, the authors of the ADL report will not thoroughly read this article. They will not check the links to mainstream news articles and official government documents.
They will simply take it as more evidence to use to smear Alex Jones, his readers and the truth community. They will continue to lump in patriotic Americans and freedom lovers everywhere with the activities of a minority of racists and psychopaths that they choose to highlight.
More and more people are uniting in protest against the erosion of liberty, embracing a peaceful revolution of information, their causes overlapping, whether it be anti-war protesters, those against the bailout of private offshore corporations or second amendment activists, the list goes on.
However, the ADL will continue to tell you that America is about to explode into a cess pit of violence, rage and hatred. The ADL will always tell you this because it has to, otherwise it will no longer have a purpose, it will no longer receive funding, and like any organization it will go out of business.
Once again, the anachronous ADL has proven that far from railing against discrimination and division, it is engaged in actively promoting and encouraging it by spreading libelous lies and concocting character assassinations in order to ensure its own survival.
The attack against Tea Party activists in the video below is a direct result of the concerted campaign by the corporate media — in particular Chris Matthews — to portray Tea Party activists and supporters as racist. It’s an example of pro-Obama brown-shirt thuggery.
In August, SEIU (Service Employees International Union) knuckle-draggers attacked anti-Obamacare demonstrators at a U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, event in Mehville, Missouri. Kenneth Gladney, who was handing out Gadsen flags outside the stage-managed event, was viciously beaten by a male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. Gladney was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
The attack came after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi characterized anti-Obamacare demonstrators as “astroturfers” and Nazis. Carnahan characterized the opposition as “disrupters” and said they were “mobilized” by “special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”
In fact, as Ohio Democrat Dennis Kucinich and others have noted, Obamacare is a bailout for the insurance industry. Special interests control Obama and the Democrats, not members of the Tea Party movement.
Pro-Obama operatives and pundits at MSNBC — again, specifically Chris Matthews and the SPLC and ADL — should be held to account for their incendiary comments now resulting in violence.

The racist demonization of immigrants only serves the interest of the ruling class during this historical economic crisis. The same bankers, CEO’s, and politicians, both Democrat and Republican, which have for decades devastated the economies of countries in Latin America, Asia, and Africa, have once again devastated the economy in this country. The same ruling class that devastates the lives of working people in other nations through war and super-exploitation are the ones throwing workers out of their homes, denying them healthcare, and laying them off from their jobs in this country.
Racism is consciously used as a tool by the ruling class because they know that as long as working people are divided and fighting each other, the people are not fighting the bankers, CEO’s, and politicians. Only under a brutal system that puts profit over people can you have a whole section of society whose only crime is being forced from their nations because of imperialism and forced to work in the most hostile of conditions in this country. Only racism can justify this reality.
The continual devastation of working people because of this crisis, however, is not the fault of one group of workers. On October 28th, President Obama signed the largest military budget in U.S. history-$680 billion dollars, which does not include the cost of the criminal occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. The new administration is also continuing to hand out the $9.5 trillion dollars in working people’s tax dollars to bailout the already rich.
The money to end the suffering of all working people tomorrow is there. It is our choice as to whether we will allow the right of a few to profit from labor of workers to continue, or whether we will rise up as one class of working people to and take political power into our own hands.
We are building a movement that will beat back racism so that working people of all nationalities can unite and fight against our one, shared enemy: capitalism. Amnesty, full rights for ALL immigrants, is a demand that should be raised not just by the immigrant communities, but by every working class community in our struggle to solve this crisis by our own means.

BOCA RATON — Confused Palm Beach County voters helped thwart Al Gore’s 2000 bid to become president of the United States, but he was introduced as “president of the planet” when he returned here Saturday night to deliver an environmental lecture.
The former vice president spoke on climate change at the Mizner Park Amphitheater to a crowd of about 800. More than 200 protesters gathered across the street from the event, and their boos and chants could be heard inside the amphitheater as Gore began his presentation.
Gore lost Florida, and the White House, by 537 votes to George W. Bush in a 2000 as many Palm Beach County Democrats said they mistakenly voted for conservative Pat Buchanan because they were confused by the county’s “butterfly ballot” design.

The predictable response to criticism surrounding Obama’s botched bow to Emperor Akihito this weekend has been to claim that the outrage is a contrived creation of the political right-wing. However, the Japanese themselves are obviously just as embarrassed about the whole spectacle.
Despite the fact that Obama was widely criticized for bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, an incident the White House ludicrously tried to deny even though it was plain as day on video, he again prostrated himself before royalty by awkwardly lurching forward at a near 90 degree angle to show his fealty to the Japanese Emperor and his wife at the Imperial Palace on Saturday.
Top Japanese newspapers like Kyodo have refused to print the image out of embarrassment. Video footage of the entire exchange shows Obama profusely bowing like a house servant no less than seven times in the space of under 30 seconds.
“Kyodo News is running his appropriate and reciprocated nod and shake with the Empress, certainly to show the president as dignified, and not in the form of a first year English teacher trying to impress with Karate Kid-level knowledge of Japanese customs,” writes a source quoted by ABC News’ Jake Tapper.
“Obama’s handshake/forward lurch was so jarring and inappropriate it recalls Bush’s back-rub of Merkel,” he adds.
Tapper’s source highlights the fact that it’s not just right-wingers in America who are unhappy about Obama’s body language.
“The bow as he performed did not just display weakness in Red State terms, but evoked weakness in Japanese terms….The last thing the Japanese want or need is a weak looking American president and, again, in all ways, he unintentionally played that part.”
Why is this important? On every single occasion, Obama has gone out of his way to display inferiority and fealty to foreign royalty. Not only is this considered a violation of state department protocol, which decrees that presidents bow to no one, it also goes against the grain of historical American opposition to Kings and Emperors.
Obama is communicating a strong message when he engages in this type of behavior. He is essentially re-affirming the fact that he does not serve the American people, and is displaying his loyal obedience to the global elite. For America’s first black president to present himself as a lowly house servant would when he meets foreign dignitaries is also a damning indictment of what he truly represents – not an icon of the final confirmation of black people throwing off the chains of slavery, but merely a front man put in place to pacify the masses while all along firmly taking his orders from the generationally inbred and virulently racist global elite.
No finer example was there of this than when Obama and his wife met the Queen and her notoriously racist husband, Prince Philip, earlier this year. Obama was seen groveling and hastily following barked out orders from Philip, the same man who trained in the Hitler Youth, attended funerals with top Nazis, and sympathized with Hitler’s attitudes towards Jews in the 1930’s.
Philip also helped start the World Wildlife Fund with former Nazi SS Officer Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, who is closely affiliated with the founders of the Bilderberg international power group.
Philip has repeatedly expressed his desire to return to earth as a deadly virus in order to wipe out 80% of the population, the majority of whom would most likely be the numerous races of people he has consistently offended with racist jokes over the decades.
Obama also famously performed another bizarre bow in front of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Photographs and video clearly show the President stooping to a near 90 degree angle to express his fealty to the 84-year-old monarch, an action “befitting a king’s subjects, not his peer,” according to the Washington Times. Subsequent denials by the White House only heightened the controversy.
As we have painstakingly documented in both The Obama Deception and Fall Of The Republic, Obama, billed as the people’s President, is in fact the ultimate puppet of the global elite. He is the black face of the new world order – carefully groomed and installed as president to neutralize the left-wing activists and provide justification to demonize conservative opposition to his policies as racism. Obama’s behavior in front of foreign royalty only confirms what we already knew – that he too is a subject of the real power structure that controls the world, and he is at their service to carry the ball for their agenda until such a time when his usefulness has been outlived.
Fox News tells us the “new” Republican party will save us from the “socialist” excesses of the Obama administration and the Democrats. Republicans are re-thinking their political strategy, we are assured, and embracing constitutional principles. Sarah Palin, the former statist governor of Alaska, is now cast as a Libertarian. Bilderberg attendee Rick Perry is portrayed as a principled constitutionalist. Glenn Beck uses his blackboard to instruct the Republicans on how to reaffirm the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Meanwhile, on the so-called left, limousine liberals at MSNBC and CNN decry the “teabaggers” and declare the Republicans are enchanted by the growing mantra of less government and less government spending.

It’s all a mirage. By and large stalwart Republicans remain neocons at heart. Most are unrepentant warmongers who do not have a problem jacking up the debt owed to offshore banksters so long as the money is used to bomb small and helpless Muslim countries. Violating the Constitution is not an issue so long as the high-tech surveillance grid is used to listen in on the satellite calls supposedly made by Muslim miscreants in far-flung caves.
At the center of the neocon philosophy of big government and its cherished war machine is the manufactured 9/11 fairy tale. It drives the cobbled together illusion that there are dangerous Islamic fanatics out there who hate us for our freedoms and are actively planning to attack us again.
House Republican Leader John Boehner stepped up to the plate today and defended the neocon GWOT. Boehner and the Republicans are against a plan announced by the Obama administration to bring Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees to New York City for a show trial.
Obama, declared Boehner, is putting “liberal special interests before the safety and security of the American people” in deciding to bring the alleged 9/11 mastermind to the United States for trial in federal civilian court.
“The possibility that Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his co-conspirators could be found ‘not guilty’ due to some legal technicality just blocks from Ground Zero should give every American pause,” Boehner said. “These men are part of a global terrorist network dedicated to attacking America and civilization itself, and on that awful day nine years ago, they succeeded in killing nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children.
Boehner exploited a classic causality dilemma commonly stated as “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” How will we ever know if KSM and crew are guilty of attacking the United States if they are never brought to trial?
KSM and his band of fellow cave-dwellers were long ago convicted of criminal terrorism sans trial by the neocons and the government. They are guilty of “attacking America and civilization itself” because the government and the corporate media say so. If you raise the slightest suspicion there is something wrong with this official fairy tale — a Brothers Grimm story riddled with inconsistencies and fanciful presuppositions — or question the veracity of the official white wash report you are a nothing less than a scurrilous conspiracy theorist on par with KSM and crew.
Never mind many respected senior members of the military, intelligence services, and government have expressed significant criticism of the white wash report. You should also ignore John Farmer, former senior counsel to the 9/11 Commission, who said “the public had been seriously misled about what occurred during the morning of the attacks.” Farmer has accused the government of criminally agreeing “not to tell the truth about what happened.”
Boehner says putting the so-called perps on trial would revert to a “dangerous pre-9/11 mentality – treating terrorism as a law enforcement issue and hoping for the best.” The neocons argue that the Constitution — or for that matter, the Geneva Convention — do not apply to terrorists.
In other words, if the government says you’re a terrorist, you are — forget the Magna Carta Libertatum and a few hundred centuries of common law. Even the Nuremberg defendants got a better shake than KSM. But then extraordinary renditions are not about fair trials. They are about interrogation, torture, and perpetuating a phony war on terrorism.
Moreover, the Constitution no longer applies to the American people, as the neocon regime of Bush the Lesser argued over and over. “Our office recently concluded that the Fourth Amendment had no application to domestic military operations,” states a secret Justice Department memo, dated March 14, 2003, referring to a document titled “Authority for Use of Military Force to Combat Terrorist Activities Within the United States.”
According to the government, there are now well over a million suspected terrorists in the United States. In September of 2007 the inspector general of the Justice Department reported the terrorist watch list had grown by 20,000 names per month.
Boehner and the Republicans want to make sure you never know if suspected terrorists are guilty or merely pawns in the neocon GWOT. In May, the U.S. House Republicans introduced H.R. 2294, the Keep Terrorists Out of America Act, which would block the transfer or release of the Guantanamo Bay terrorists into the United States. Boehner introduced the bill.
Maybe Boehner will introduce a Make Sure Suspected Terrorists Never Get a Fair Trial bill soon.
At any rate, Obama’s ploy to bring suspected terrorists to the United States and put them on trial is a parlor trick. If the Democrats manage to pull off their public trial ruse, KSM and crew will certainly not get a fair shake.
Any plan for terrorism trials in federal courthouses would face extraordinary difficulties, according to lawyers. “Much of the evidence is classified, and key witnesses are reluctant to testify. Government secrets can be spilled. Litigation can be expensive and stretch for years. Security is a nightmare,” the Washington Post reported in March when suspected al-Qaeda sleeper agent Ali Saleh Kahlah al-Marri was indicted on criminal charges.
It’s all about keeping the GWOT — now in possession of Democrats — front and center. It has nothing to do with justice American-style.
It is also about ending the controversy surrounding KSM and the others. How best to get rid of the problem? Get rid of KSM and crew the same way the government got rid of John Muhammad, the convicted Beltway sniper.
Anti-pot propaganda drives most people to drink alcohol instead. But booze is far more dangerous than marijuana.
Professor David Nutt didn’t play the game. As the chief drug policy advisor in the British Government, an unspoken part of his job description was to help maintain a public fiction about marijuana – or cannabis, as it is known in the U.K. and other parts of the world. Specifically, he was expected to further the misperception of cannabis as a substance worthy of being classified and prohibited in a manner similar to more dangerous drugs like heroin and cocaine.
He made a big mistake at the end of last month. In a lecture at King’s College in London, he spoke honestly – and truthfully – about the fact that cannabis is less harmful than alcohol and urged the government to factor the relative harms of substances into their policy-making. Moreover, he accused the British government of ignoring the evidence about the true harms of cannabis in order to reclassify the drug and increase penalties for possession.
Reacting with the logic and reason of pub patron after last call, Home Secretary Alan Johnson immediately demanded that Prof. Nutt resign as the head of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. He said Prof Nutt had "crossed the line between offering advice and … campaigning against the government on political decisions."
More accurately, Prof. Nutt crossed the line between deceiving citizens and being honest with them. The home secretary, a former member of Parliament, is no doubt comfortable with a little verbal jousting over public policy decisions. What he could not abide by was a top ranking official threatening the anti-cannabis mythology embraced at the very top level of government. Based on Nutt’s fateful bout of truthfulness, Johnson said he had “lost confidence” in Nutt as an advisor.
In a letter to Professor Nutt, Mr. Johnson explained how the system is supposed to work. He said: "As Home Secretary it is for me to make decisions, having received advice from the [Council] ... It is important that the Government's messages on drugs are clear and as an adviser you do nothing to undermine the public understanding of them ... I am afraid the manner in which you have acted runs contrary to your responsibilities."
The Home Secretary’s chief medical officer Sir Liam Donaldson put a similar spin on this hostile reaction to fact-based statements to the public. "These things are best sorted out behind the scenes,” he said, “so that the government and their advisers can go to the public with a united front."
In the real world, what this means is that advisors are free to provide research or reports based on an honest assessment of the scientific evidence, but when this research is completely ignored in setting policy, they are expected to keep their mouths shut and move on as if nothing ever happened.
This is all part of the game the government plays in order to maintain marijuana prohibition. In the United States, there are many examples of significant advisory opinions related to marijuana being completely ignored – even where the opinions were part of a decision-making process that should have led to action by the federal government.
In 1970, Congress established the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse to study marijuana and make recommendations about how to control its use. The Commission’s final report suggested removal of criminal penalties, noting, “The actual and potential harm of use of the drug is not great enough to justify intrusion by the criminal law into private behavior.” President Nixon ignored the Commission’s findings and launched and all-out war on marijuana users.
In 1988, Francis Young, an administrative law judge at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), following hearings to determine whether marijuana should be placed into a less restrictive category under the Controlled Substances Act, wrote that marijuana should be moved from Schedule I (the most restrictive category) to Schedule II and it would be “unreasonable, arbitrary and capricious” to conclude otherwise. More than 20 years later, marijuana remains a Schedule I drug.
A recently as February 2007, an administrative law judge at the DEA issued an opinion concluding that it would be in the public interest for the agency to grant a license to the University of Massachusetts to grow a limited amount of marijuana to be used to study its potential therapeutic benefits. Faced with this seemingly rational opinion, the political powers at the DEA sat on it for nearly two years and then rejected it by formally denying the University the license in the very last days of the Bush administration.
Of course, ignoring fact- and evidence-based advice about marijuana is just one part of the game our government has played over the past four decades. It has also gone out of its way to promote and spread myths about the drug – from the “gateway” theory to marijuana’s supposed connection to cancer to the notion that “potent pot” is somehow more dangerous than “your father’s marijuana.” Each one has been debunked or proven wrong or misleading, but there is no doubt that they have helped keep marijuana illegal.
Yet there is one myth more insidious than the rest. And it is one that is as devastating as it is subtle.
You see, whether intentional or not, the government’s greatest achievement when it comes to keeping marijuana illegal has been its ability to convince a majority of Americans that marijuana is as harmful as, if not more harmful than, alcohol. By doing so, it has secured alcohol’s place as the recreational substance of choice for the vast majority of the public.
Influenced by the government’s anti-marijuana propaganda, a large segment of our population is comfortable with a system that bans the use of marijuana but allows – and even celebrates – the use of alcohol, despite the fact that alcohol is objectively far more harmful.
Let’s consider just a few facts about the two substances. For starters, alcohol is far more toxic than marijuana. Just ten times the effective dose of alcohol can be fatal. Yet there has never been a recorded marijuana overdose death in history. The highly toxic nature of alcohol is also what leads to the all-too-frequent occurrences of nausea and vomiting from over-indulgence.
Over the long-term, alcohol consumption is also far more likely to lead to the death of the user. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, between 33,000 and 35,000 Americans die annually from the effects of alcohol. The comparable number for marijuana? Zero. The supposed cancer-causing properties of marijuana? Non-existent.
Perhaps most disturbingly, as almost anyone who has been exposed to the two substances could tell you, alcohol is far more likely to produce dangerous and socially destructive behavior. It is cited as a contributing factor in 25-30 percent of violent crimes in this country and in about 100,000 sexual assaults on college campuses annually. These kinds of negative associations simply don’t exist with marijuana.
As mentioned at the beginning, facts like this were quite familiar to Professor Nutt. Even after his firing, he endeavored to spread the truth about the relative harms of marijuana and alcohol and urged parents to be especially wary of the one that posed the greatest potential for damage.
"The greatest concern to parents,” he said, “should be that their children do not get completely off their heads with alcohol because it can kill them ... and it leads them to do things which are very dangerous, such as to kill themselves or others in cars, get into fights, get raped, and engage in other activities which they regret subsequently. My view is that, if you want to reduce the harm to society from drugs, alcohol is the drug to target at present."
Our nation's leaders might think this is a game, but it isn’t. There are children and adults seriously suffering and even dying because of alcohol, and it is time our leaders started being honest and realistic about how it compares to marijuana – both in terms of public education and public policies. Neither propaganda nor policy should be used to steer adults – or teens, for that matter – toward alcohol instead of marijuana. This does not mean that marijuana is harmless; it simply means, and all of the evidence indicates, that it is less harmful than alcohol.
On October 17, Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, attended an Anti-Defamation League’s American Heritage Dinner. Holder called for the passage of The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Hate Crimes Prevention Act. A few days later, on October 22, the law was passed by Congress. Obama signed it into law on October 28. Holder said the impending passage of the legislation would be a “marvelous step of progress” and would result in what Rev. Ted Pike characterizes as stage two, “a massive national campaign to train lawyers to become hate crimes prosecutors.” Holder promised to begin using the act the moment it became law.
Holder admitted that he has enjoyed a long term relationship with the ADL. “I first began convening meetings with members of the ADL in the early 90’s when I served as the United States Attorney in Washington, D.C.,” Holder said, according to a transcript of his October 17 speech. “The Obama Administration could ask no better partner than the Anti-Defamation League as we jointly strive to attain the ideals of equal opportunity, equal rights, and equal justice for all. Members of the ADL — I salute you.”
Rev. Pike notes that the bill will used to prosecute people who are opposed to homosexuality and critics of Israel. If we examine the rhetoric of the ADL, however, we soon realize the powerful organization has a number of other people and organizations on its hit list — most notably individuals and organizations in the patriot and constutionalist movements. The ADL habitually conflates these movements with “militias” and “white supremacists” and warns they pose a threat to the country.
It is now known that the ADL played an instrumental role in the creation of MIAC’s “The Modern Militia Movement” report. The document lists support for Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr as a sign of involvement in the militia movement. “Almost the entire Missouri report is composed of cursorily re-worded documents publicly available on the ADL’s web site,” notes the A Race Against Time blog. Researchers have discovered that specific portions of the document are copied nearly verbatim from ADL sources. “If the rest of the Missouri document was based on information provided by the ADL, you can be sure the section on Paul, Barr, and Baldwin was as well.”
The ADL and its ideological twin, the Southern Poverty Law Center, were deeply involved in the creation of the Department of Homeland Security’s “rightwing extremist” report. Americans for Limited Government filed a FOIA request to get the sources the document used and found the fingerprints of the ADL and the SPLC all over it.
Department of Homeland Security boss Janet Napolitano showered kudos on the ADL during a conference held on April 22, 2009. “In recent years, the Department has placed our employees in your advanced training school to educate us on the tactics used by extremists and terrorists,” Napolitano admitted.
Both the ADL and the SPLC have manufactured a cottage industry around the bogus threat of the “modern militia movement” and specialize in going after key individuals and leaders of the constitutionalist, Libertarian, and patriot movements.
Alex Jones is a favored target of the ADL-SPLC propaganda and demonization project. A Google search of the ADL website produces dozens of references to the radio talk show host, most related to the Pittsburgh cop killer and admitted white supremacist Richard Poplawski. Poplawski posted comments on the Infowars website.
On a ADL page entitled “Terrorism Strikes America,” posted the day after the September 11, 2001, attacks, the ADL quoted remarks made by Jones, including a comment stating an obvious fact: Osama bin Laden was a CIA asset. Alex Jones’ comments are listed along with comments made by radical Muslims, a Christian Identity group (praising the attack), David Duke, Thomas Metzger of the White Aryan Resistance, the American Nazi Party, and other racist groups. Including Jones on this page is an obvious attempt to link him to racists and crackpot white supremacists.
Other ADL targets include the Oath Keepers and Three Percenters, who are according to the ADL “both part of an anti-government extremist movement that has grown since President Obama took office, promote the idea that the federal government is plotting to take away the rights of American citizens and must be resisted. The two groups are apparently trying to make inroads in the U.S. military,” a mischaracterization that plays right into the DHS “rightwing extremism” document that claims returning veterans pose a violent threat.
According to the ADL, Joe Banister, Tommy Cryer, Pat Shannan, Dave Von Kleist, Jack McLamb, Greg Dixon, Ted Gunderson, and Michael Badnarik are “extremist speakers” who also pose a threat to the country.
All of the above will likely become targets of the Justice Department and its boss, Eric Holder, who played a key role in covering up the Clinton Administration’s premeditated murder of 76 people, including more than 20 children and two pregnant women, at Waco on April 19, 1993.
The so-called Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Hate Crimes Prevention Act will be used against people who criticize homosexuality. It will also be used to go after individuals and organizations the Anti-Defamation League has targeted for elimination.
Getting rid of the “racist” (for opposing illegal immigration) Lou Dobbs is merely the beginning. The Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and the Pentagon have more fish to fry, namely the growing constutionalist and patriot movements. The ADL has spent years tirelessly characterizing these movements as racist and extremist. Now that Congress has passed and Obama has signed the “hate bill,” we can expect the government to begin going after patriots and closing down “hate radio” venues such as the Alex Jones Show.
The foundation liberals have finally done it. They have managed to get Lou Dobbs removed from CNN. On November 11, Dobbs announced his resignation, effective immediately.
Dobbs is a gentleman, so he didn’t mention the gunfire directed at his home — the sort of thing you’d expect in a thugocracy like Mexico, not the United States — and he didn’t mention the concerted effort spearheaded by Presente, the National Council of La Raza, and other pro-illegal immigration groups to get him thrown off the air. Media Matters, MoveOn.org, and the Southern Poverty Law Center have consistently agitated to have Dobbs removed.
Soros and the left-cover side of the global elite have realized a victory. Dobbs kept hammering on the broken border and this irritated the elite who want open and unchecked borders in order to drive down wages and destroy the living standards of middle class Americans. Dobbs was a roadblock in the elite’s plan to turn the planet into a unified slave labor plantation.
Lou Dobbs has few options. He may retire. Or he may go over to Fox News. But that is not much of an option. Fox News is part of the controlled opposition. Rupbert Mordoch is a one-world minion who supported the political campaign of Hillary Clinton. Fox programs push the global warming agenda.
Fox News is the flipside supposedly in opposition to the “liberal bias” of CNN and MSNBC. Fox’s talking heads and newscasters — with the notable exception of Andrew Napolitano — are neocons masquerading as conservatives. Fox News operatives like Glenn Beck are tasked with destroying Libertarian and constituionalist elements in the Republican Party. Fox News is an integral part of the false right-left paradigm that controls opposition and renders it ineffective.
Napolitano operates from the basement of Fox News. On occasion he sits in for master disinfo agent Beck. His show is broadcast over the internet and is not in Fox’s television line-up. Is it possible Fox will do the same to Dobbs? We’ll see.

Tonight I want to turn to a personal note, if I may, and address a matter that has raised some curiosity. This will be my last broadcast here on CNN, where I’ve worked for most of the past 30 years, and where I have many friends and colleagues whom I admire deeply and respect greatly.
I’m the last of the original anchors here on CNN and I’m proud to have had the privilege to helping to build the world’s first news network. I’m grateful for the many opportunities that CNN has given me over the many years. I’ve tried to reciprocate with a full measure of my ability.
Over the past six months it’s become increasingly clear that strong winds of change have begun buffeting this country and affecting all of us. And some leaders in media, and in politics and business have been urging me to go beyond the role at CNN and to engage in constructive problem solving as well as to contribute positively to the great understanding of the issues of our day and to continue to do so in the most honest and direct language possible.
I’ve talked extensively with Jonathan Klein. John’s the president of CNN, and as a result of those talks, John and I have agreed to a release from my contract that will enable me to pursue new opportunities. At this point, I’m considering a number of options, and directions, and I assure you, I will let you know when I set my course.
I truly believe that the major issues of our time include — the growth of our middle-class, the creation of more jobs, health care, immigration policy, the environment, climate change, and our military involvement, of course, in Afghanistan and Iraq.
But each of those issues is, in my opinion, informed by our capacity to demonstrate strong resilience of our now weakened capitalist economy and demonstrate the political will to overcome the lack of true representation in Washington, D.C.
I believe these to be profoundly, critically important issues, and I will continue to strive to deal honestly and straightforwardly with those issues in the future. Unfortunately, these issues are now defined in the public arena by partisanship and ideology rather than by rigorous, empirical thought and forthright analysis and discussion.
I’ll be working diligently to change that as best I can. And as for the important work of restoring inspiration to our great free society and our market economy, I will strive as well to be a leader in that national conversation.

Nidal Malik Hasan, the topless bar promenading Muslim accused of killing soldiers at Fort Hood, is a hero according to the Taliban. The plaudit was allegedly posted on jihadist forums, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, reports the Herald and Weekly Times.

The SITE Institute, short for Search for International Terrorist Entities, operates as a propaganda outfit for the National Security Agency, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. Blackwater USA, now Xe Services, has praised the organization as an invaluable resource.
In addition to showering praise on Hasan, the Taliban supposedly warned the United States of more attacks unless Washington ends its policies in Afghanistan and Iraq. “The recent attack on the military base in Texas warns that if the occupation policy of the American rulers continues in this way, without them folding the carpets of occupation and transgression in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is natural then that incidents and attacks similar to Texas will spread to the Pentagon and other American military centers,” the message said.
Information has surfaced recently further demonstrating that the Taliban “insurgency” in Afghanistan is covertly supported by the United States. Earlier this week, the Associated Press reported on television footage broadcast showing Taliban fighters handling U.S. ammunition in a remote area of eastern Afghanistan that American forces left last month following a deadly firefight that killed eight troops.
Hamid Karzai, Afghan puppet installed by the U.S., recently accused his benefactors of ferrying Taliban fighters around in helicopters. “For several weeks now, Afghanistan has been consumed by stories of mysterious ‘foreign helicopters’ ferrying Taliban fighters to a new front in northern Afghanistan. These helicopters are alleged by no less than President Karzai to belong to ‘foreign powers’ such as the United States and its allies. The helicopters are said to land in remote regions, but their activity has supposedly been noted by nomads who travel through the deserts of Baghlan and Kunduz province,” writes Andrew McGregor.
In 2008, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was accused of directly supporting the Taliban. “Reports emanating from Afghan circles said last week that ISAF troops drooped arms and munitions to Taliban insurgents in Arghandab of southern Kandahar province,” the People’s Daily Online reported on April 15, 2008. “A parliamentarian, Zalmai Mujadadi, told reporters early in the weekend that the international troops intentionally provided the arms and munitions to militants.” Richard A. Boucher, then Assistant Secretary of State, denied the accusation.
The British have also worked with the Taliban. In July, 2008, The Independent reported how the Taliban provided British forces with intelligence used to assassinate rivals. For instance, the Taliban ratted out Mullah Dadullah, who was killed by a special forces unit of the British Naval Service in May of 2007.
In October, CNN reported a U.S. program to pay Taliban fighters to quit the organization. “The buyout idea, according to the Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, is to separate local Taliban from their leaders, replicating a program used to neutralize the insurgency against Americans in Iraq.” Levin and the the Senate Armed Services Committee obviously have little understanding of Afghan society — Pashtun socio-political affairs are dominated by tribal and sub-tribal loyalties, alliances, and conflicts and no amount of U.S. money will change these ancient alliances. The Taliban is the most prominent and active Pashtun organization in the country. Going up against it spells certain death, as Mullah Dadullah discovered.
Taliban influence in Afghanistan is pervasive. “Karzai’s elder brother was a Taliban and both used to live in Quetta Pakistan,” explains Rupee News. “Part of his family still lives there. Mr. Hamid [ Karzai] is a self-professed Taliban who was proposed as the UN Ambassador of the Taliban government. During this days as a Conoco representative Mr. Karzai reportedly received lots of money from Enron and Conoco to get the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan pipeline off the ground.”
The Taliban reportedly also turned down a power-sharing offer proposed by the U.S. “US negotiators had offered the Taliban leadership through Mullah Wakil Ahmed Mutawakkil (former Taliban foreign minister) that if they accept the presence of NATO troops in Afghanistan, they would be given the governorship of six provinces in the south and northeast,” a senior Afghan Foreign Ministry official told IslamOnline last month.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari told NBC in an interview in May of this year that the CIA and his country’s ISI created the Taliban. The militant Wahhabi organization is “part of our past and your past, and the ISI and CIA created them together.” Zardari accused the U.S. of supporting the military rule of Pervez Musharraf who supported the Taliban during his reign.
Zbigniew Brzezinski encourages the Taliban.
New World Order Rockefeller top operative and former National Security Chief Zbigniew Brzezinski admitted the Taliban is a U.S. intelligence construct. “According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen [later to become the Taliban] began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul,” Brzezinski told the French newspaper Le Nouvel Observateur in 1998.
As noted above, that secret aid continues to this day. The U.S. has long specialized in creating enemies to be exploited in order to accomplish geopolitical objectives. The Taliban exist and are covertly supported because the U.S. needs a global war on terrorism. Obama will significantly expand this phony war against phantom enemies in the coming weeks when he signs off on an additional 40,000 troops to be sent into the Afghan meat grinder.
Nidal Malik Hasan’s fantastic — and tenuous at best — connection to Islamic terrorism will be exploited to further the GWOT objective, as will the latest bit of nonsense about the Taliban supporting his murderous rampage. In the weeks ahead, as the NWO stand-up Obama prepares to increase the U.S. presence in Afghanistan, we can likely expect more absurd propaganda from the Mockingbird media as it reads from government-issued scripts.
Frank Silecchia has many questions regarding the attacks
New video from We are Change New York features an interview with first responder Frank Silecchia, who discovered the famous steel cross recovered from Ground Zero. Silecchia reveals that he has questions over the attacks and pledges support for the 9/11 truth movement.
Silecchia worked at Ground Zero for ten months and on the third day he discovered the broken steam beam in the shape of a cross that still stands in the vicinity of the World Trade Center today.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Trade_Center_cross
Silecchia found the twenty foot cross amongst the debris of 6 World Trade Center and it quickly became an icon for the first responders who left messages on it and prayed before it.
Many of the families of the victims of 9/11 asked for the cross to be preserved as part of the permanent memorial.
When asked by We are Change members if he had any remarks on the eighth anniversary of 9/11, Silecchia responded “See the shirt you’re wearing? I believe it” referring to an “Investigate 9/11″ t-shirt.
“See the shirt he wears, the shirt he wears,” Silecchia said pointing to two other members of we are change with the same shirts, “I believe it because it is true. They cannot prove otherwise”
“There’s no reason why they can’t explain why there’s so many flashes along side the building” Silecchia said, referring to sounds of explosives in the towers that were also witnessed by firefighters on 9/11.
“7 took to long to come down.” Silecchia added.
“That was full of technology that couldn’t be seen by human eyes so it had to be destroyed. They took it down.”
“They think we are idiots. We the People, by the People, put them into office and they think we’re morons.” Silecchia said.
“As long as the old man is alive, Bush, you’re not going catch Bin Laden. Because that’s the deal they have got.” he added, referring to the fact that before 9/11 George H.W. Bush and Osama Bin Laden were business partners with the Carlyle Group.
“9/11 needs a tombstone,”Silecchia says of his efforts to preserve the WTC Cross. “It’s a sign of healing, it’s not a sign of religion, it’s a sign of faith. Faith is love and hope.”
TAMPA — Marine reservist Jasen Bruce was getting clothes out of the trunk of his car Monday evening when a bearded man in a robe approached him.
That man, a Greek Orthodox priest named Father Alexios Marakis, speaks little English and was lost, police said. He wanted directions.
What the priest got instead, police say, was a tire iron to the head. Then he was chased for three blocks and pinned to the ground — as the Marine kept a 911 operator on the phone, saying he had captured a terrorist.
Police say Bruce offered several reasons to explain his actions:
The man tried to rob him.
The man grabbed Bruce's crotch and made an overt sexual advance in perfect English.
The man yelled "Allahu Akbar," Arabic for "God is great," the same words some witnesses said the Fort Hood shooting suspect uttered last week.
"That's what they tell you right before they blow you up," police say Bruce told them.
Bruce ended up in jail, accused of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was released Tuesday on $7,500 bail. Marakis ended up at the hospital with stitches. He told the police he didn't want to press charges, espousing biblical forgiveness.
But Tuesday, Bruce wasn't saying sorry.

The two men are a year apart in age, and a world apart in life experiences.
Father Michael Eaccarino of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Tarpon Springs says Marakis, 29, entered a Greek monastery as a teenager and became a priest nine years ago. He is studying theology at Holy Cross, a Greek Orthodox school in Massachusetts, and traveled to Tarpon Springs two months ago to work on his master's thesis. He has taken a vow of celibacy.
Eaccarino says the visiting priest got lost Monday after ministering to the elderly in a nursing home.
Jasen Bruce, 28, enlisted as a reserve Marine as a teenager, was discharged honorably when he finished his contract, and enlisted again this March. He has never been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, a Marine Corps spokesman said. He got married last month in full dress uniform.
Bruce is a sales manager for APS Pharmacy in Palm Harbor. His blog entries tout the benefits of increasing testosterone and human growth hormones. He was charged with misdemeanor battery in 2007 for hopping over the bed of a tow truck and shoving its driver. He pleaded no contest.
Online photo galleries depict him flexing big muscles wearing little clothing.
An exterior surveillance video of Tuesday's chase captured the two men in motion, said Tampa Police Department spokeswoman Laura McElroy:
"You see a very short, small man running, and an enormous, large muscular man chasing after him."
This is what police say happened at 6:35 p.m. Monday:
The priest's GPS gave him the wrong directions, leading him off Interstate 275 and into downtown Tampa. He followed a line of cars into a garage at the Seaport Channelside condominium to ask for help.
He found Bruce, whose back was turned, bending over the trunk of his car, and he tapped his shoulder before saying, in broken English, "please" and "help."
That's when Bruce reached for the tire iron. Police say that by the end of the chase, he had hit the priest four times.
Hours after his release from Orient Road Jail on Tuesday, Bruce stood silently as his attorney, Jeff Brown, told his version:
The bearded man wearing a robe and sandals was clearly trespassing in the garage. In a sudden move, the stranger made a verbal sexual advance and grabbed Bruce's genitals. The Marine defended himself. And immediately, he called 911 as he chased him.
Brown said the police initially called the Marine a "hero" and said the priest was "mentally ill."
He called the police's account "one-sided" and said the department should investigate a sergeant he said made derogatory comments about the Marine's military background.
Police said that sergeant is, himself, a veteran. They say that the priest was disoriented when they found him at the corner of Madison and Meridian avenues, but a translator at Tampa General Hospital helped him communicate. And that the GPS corroborates the priest's story.
When police arrived at Bruce's apartment at 1:30 a.m., before they had mentioned charges, he had already called an attorney.
Television news stations showed the priest's photo on Tuesday and mentioned what the Marine said he did. If the priest had watched, he wouldn't have understood it.
He'd spent the day in great spirits, his fellow priest said. His main worry was that he inconvenienced the others who had to care for him. Then, a man named Jerry Theophilopoulos got in touch with him. He's a lawyer, speaks Greek and served as a former board member of the church. The lawyer said he told the priest what the Marine said. Marakis was stunned. His eyes grew wide. He said it was a lie.

Pointless “will he, won’t he” debates ignore the fact that Obama has already deployed 34,000 additional troops to Afghanistan
Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama has decided to send close to 40,000 more troops into Afghanistan over the course of 2010, according to insiders.
“Informed sources tell CBS news he intends to give General McCrystal most, if not all, the additional troops he is asking for,” the network reported Monday night.
According to the report, Obama has decided to send four combat brigades plus thousands more support troops, bringing the total of new troops to be deployed close to 40,000.
The first troops will arrive in early 2010, and it would take until the end of 2010 before all the additional troops were in position.
The build up is expected to last four years, meaning there would be 100,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan by the end of 2012 when Obama has completed his first term.
According to CBS, Obama will announce the decision the week before Thanksgiving, just in time to fly over to Oslo, Norway in December to pick up his Nobel Peace Prize.
Of course, this news is not surprising. While the mainstream media is still pointlessly debating “will he, won’t he”, the decision to deploy thousands more troops was made back in February with the announcement that 17,000 rising to 30,000 troops would be sent into the country.
At the same time, Obama demand a total of around $800 billion in war funds and subsidiary costs.
“According to the U.S. defense officials, Obama needs USD 75.5 billion for 2009 to cover the cost of the additional troops deployed in to Afghanistan this year and an another USD 130 billion for the rest of fiscal 2009,” reports from nine months ago highlighted.
In addition, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Admiral Mike Mullen, has made it clear that the Pentagon will request supplemental war-fighting funds sometime next year, over and above the $130 billion appropriated by Congress last month.
The combined number of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan has now reached a higher level under Obama than existed under the Bush administration at any point between 2003 and 2008.
At the height of the Bush administration’s 2007 “surge” in Iraq, there were 26,000 US troops in Afghanistan and 160,000 in Iraq, a total of 186,000.
According to DoD figures cited by The Washington Post last month, there are now around 189,000 and rising deployed in total. There are now 68,000 troops in Afghanistan, over double the amount deployed there when Bush left office.
As the Post points out, these figures are also misleadingly low because the number of support troops, at least 13,000, has simply not been announced or noted, despite their authorization and deployment by the Pentagon.
“The deployment of the support troops to Afghanistan brings the total increase approved by Obama to 34,000.” The Post noted. “McChrystal’s request, which the administration is considering, would be in addition to the troops Obama has approved.” the article continues.
These numbers will no doubt go even higher given that McChrystal’s top end request for additional troops to Afghanistan stands at 80,000. Even more young Americans are to be pushed through the meat grinder.
Shall we continue to debate whether or not Obama the peace laureate will increase the troops levels in Afghanistan?
In addition, it has become clear that as in Iraq, Obama intends for U.S. forces to stay in Afghanistan permanently. One need only look at the recent headlines regarding construction and infrastructure contracts to recognise this fact.
As Walter Pincus of the Washington Post notes, the Pentagon has spent “roughly $2.7 billion on construction over the past three fiscal years” in that country and, “if its request is approved as part of the fiscal 2010 defense appropriations bill, it would spend another $1.3 billion on more than 100 projects at 40 sites across the country, according to a Senate report on the legislation.”
Just as in Iraq, the Pentagon is setting about building hundreds of huge permanent military bases, expanding the sprawling network of well over 700 bases worldwide. Read journalist Nick Turse’s in-depth report for more analysis.
Just as in Iraq, tens of thousands of U.S. troops will remain in Afghanistan as a residual (read “occupying”) force in perpetuity.
Let us not forget that the justification for escalating the war in Afghanistan is to fight “Al Qaeda” insurgents and prevent another 9/11, a notion that has no basis in reality given that, even if you believe the official story of 9/11, no Afghans were involved in the attacks which were planned by Saudi nationals in Europe.
Furthermore, high ranking U.S. security and military officials have openly stated that Afghanistan is not in danger of falling, and that there that there are less than 100 Al Qaeda affiliated fighters currently in the country, presenting no threat to any nation.
Should 40,000 additional troops enter the country, there will be 1,000 or more U.S. soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan for every Al Qaeda fighter.
The real reason for military escalation is to dominate the geopolitical region, reap the financial profits from the plentiful supplies of energy and narcotics and suppress the people of Afghanistan in the process.
Barack Obama’s election promise to bring “change” to Washington and reverse the juggernaut of rampant militarism, endless wars and occupations has proven to be nothing more than a cruel hoax.
The perpetuation of the illegal occupation of Iraq, the expansion of the fallacy based war in Afghanistan, as well as increased faceless attacks in Pakistan, heightened belligerence towards Iran and refusal to address a strategy to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict sum up Obama’s foreign policy during his first twelve months in office.
How in anyone’s mind can such behavior constitute a move towards peace?
The DOJ subpoena demands IP addresses, times, and any other identifying information, including email addresses, physical addresses, registered accounts, and Indymedia readers’ Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and other information on users of the website.
Declan McCullagh reports for CBS News that the Department of Justice sent a formal request to Indymedia ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day. A grand jury subpoena required the independent news website “not to disclose the existence of this request” unless authorized by the Justice Department. The subpoena and gag order represent a new level of government intrusion into the operation of a free press in this country.
The subpoena issued by U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison in Indianapolis demands a transcript of “all IP traffic to and from www.indymedia.us” on June 25, 2008. It required website administrator Kristina Clair of the Philadelphia-based Indymedia website to “include IP addresses, times, and any other identifying information,” including email addresses, physical addresses, registered accounts, and Indymedia readers’ Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and other information on users of the website.
Clair told McCullagh and CBS: “I didn’t think anything we were doing was worthy of any (federal) attention.” She called the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco and the organization agreed to represent her.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation has noted a number of problems with the government subpoena, including that it was not personally served, and that a court order is required for the server logs. Kevin Bankston, a senior staff attorney at the San Francisco-based EFF, noted the Indymedia does not store its server logs.
Indymedia, short for Independent Media Center, is a global participatory network of journalists that report on political and social issues. It originated during the anti-WTO protests worldwide in 1999 and remains closely associated with the global justice movement, which criticizes neo-liberalism, and its associated institutions. Indymedia uses an open publishing and democratic media process that allows anybody to contribute, according to Wikipedia.
“If you get a subpoena and you’re a journalist, they can’t gag you,” Lucy Dalglish, the executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of The Press, told McCullagh. “I have seen any number of these things withdrawn when counsel for someone who is claiming a reporter’s privilege says, ‘Can you tell me the date you got approval from the attorney general’s office’… I’m willing to chalk this up to bad lawyering on the part of the DOJ, or just not thinking.”
The government does not consider Indymedia — or the alternative news media as a whole (including Infowars and Prison Planet) — as legitimate news organizations. The corporate media does not accept the notion of “citizen journalists” and has consistently criticized bloggers.
In 2004, the DOJ sent a grand jury subpoena demanding information about who posted lists of Republican delegates to the GOP convention in New York. An Indymedia hosting service in Texas received a subpoena demanding server logs in relation to an investigation of an attempted murder in Italy.
Obama promised “change” during the election. However, as the latest effrontery to the First Amendment by the Department of Justice reveals, nothing has changed and the Obama administration intends to continue the unconstitutional policies of the Bush administration.
In a case that raises questions about online journalism and privacy rights, the U.S. Department of Justice sent a formal request to an independent news site ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day.
The grand jury subpoena also required the Philadelphia-based Indymedia.us Web site "not to disclose the existence of this request" unless authorized by the Justice Department, a gag order that presents an unusual quandary for any news organization.
Kristina Clair, a 34-year old Linux administrator living in Philadelphia who provides free server space for Indymedia.us, said she was shocked to receive the Justice Department's subpoena. (The Independent Media Center is a left-of-center amalgamation of journalists and advocates that – according to their principles of unity and mission statement – work toward "promoting social and economic justice" and "social change.")

"I didn't think anything we were doing was worthy of any (federal) attention," Clair said in a telephone interview with CBSNews.com on Monday. After talking to other Indymedia volunteers, Clair ended up calling the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco, which represented her at no cost.
Under long-standing Justice Department guidelines, subpoenas to members of the news media are supposed to receive special treatment. One portion of the guidelines, for instance, says that "no subpoena may be issued to any member of the news media" without "the express authorization of the attorney general" – that would be current attorney general Eric Holder – and subpoenas should be "directed at material information regarding a limited subject matter."
Still unclear is what criminal investigation U.S. Attorney Morrison was pursuing. Last Friday, a spokeswoman initially promised a response, but Morrison sent e-mail on Monday evening saying: "We have no comment." The Justice Department in Washington, D.C. also declined to respond.
Kevin Bankston, a senior staff attorney at the San Francisco-based Electronic Frontier Foundation, replied to the Justice Department on behalf of his client in a February 2009 letter (PDF) outlining what he described as a series of problems with the subpoena, including that it was not personally served, that a judge-issued court order would be required for the full logs, and that Indymedia did not store logs in the first place.
Morrison replied in a one-sentence letter saying the subpoena had been withdrawn. Around the same time, according to the EFF, the group had a series of discussions with assistant U.S. attorneys in Morrison's office who threatened Clair with possible prosecution for obstruction of justice if she disclosed the existence of the already-withdrawn subpoena -- claiming it "may endanger someone's health" and would have a "human cost."
Dalglish said that a subpoena being issued and withdrawn is not unprecedented. "I have seen any number of these things withdrawn when counsel for someone who is claiming a reporter's privilege says, 'Can you tell me the date you got approval from the attorney general's office'... I'm willing to chalk this up to bad lawyering on the part of the DOJ, or just not thinking."
Making this investigation more mysterious is that Indymedia.us is an aggregation site, meaning articles that appear on it were published somewhere else first, and there's no hint about what sparked the criminal probe. Clair, the system administrator, says that no IP (Internet Protocol) addresses are recorded for Indymedia.us, and non-IP address logs are kept for a few weeks and then discarded.
EFF's Bankston wrote a second letter to the government saying that, if it needed to muzzle Indymedia, it should apply for a gag order under the section of federal law that clearly permits such an order to be issued. Bankston's plan: To challenge that law on First Amendment grounds.
But the Justice Department never replied. "This is the first time we've seen them try to get the IP address of everyone who visited a particular site," Bankston said. "That it was a news organization was an additional troubling fact that implicates First Amendment rights."
This is not, however, the first time that the Feds have focused on Indymedia -- a Web site whose authors sometimes blur the line between journalism, advocacy, and on-the-streets activism. In 2004, the Justice Department sent a grand jury subpoena asking for information about who posted lists of Republican delegates while urging they be given an unwelcome reception at the party's convention in New York City that year. A Indymedia hosting service in Texas once received a subpoena asking for server logs in relation to an investigation of an attempted murder in Italy.
Bankston has written a longer description of the exchange of letters with the Justice Department, which he hopes will raise awareness of how others should respond to similar legal demands for Web logs, customer records, and compulsory silence. "Our fear is that this kind of bogus gag order is much more common than one would hope, considering they're legally baseless," Bankston says. "We're telling this story in hopes that more providers will press back and go public when the government demands their silence."
We have been led to believe that we must make our health care choices only within the current structure of a predatory, for-profit insurance system which makes money not providing health care. We cannot fault the insurance companies for being what they are. But we can fault legislation in which the government incentivizes the perpetuation, indeed the strengthening, of the for-profit health insurance industry, the very source of the problem. When health insurance companies deny care or raise premiums, co-pays and deductibles they are simply trying to make a profit. That is our system.
Clearly, the insurance companies are the problem, not the solution. They are driving up the cost of health care. Because their massive bureaucracy avoids paying bills so effectively, they force hospitals and doctors to hire their own bureaucracy to fight the insurance companies to avoid getting stuck with an unfair share of the bills. The result is that since 1970, the number of physicians has increased by less than 200% while the number of administrators has increased by 3000%. It is no wonder that 31 cents of every health care dollar goes to administrative costs, not toward providing care. Even those with insurance are at risk. The single biggest cause of bankruptcies in the U.S. is health insurance policies that do not cover you when you get sick.
But instead of working toward the elimination of for-profit insurance, H.R. 3962 would put the government in the role of accelerating the privatization of health care. In H.R. 3962, the government is requiring at least 21 million Americans to buy private health insurance from the very industry that causes costs to be so high, which will result in at least $70 billion in new annual revenue, much of which is coming from taxpayers. This inevitably will lead to even more costs, more subsidies, and higher profits for insurance companies - a bailout under a blue cross.
By incurring only a new requirement to cover pre-existing conditions, a weakened public option, and a few other important but limited concessions, the health insurance companies are getting quite a deal. The Center for American Progress' blog, Think Progress, states, 'since the President signaled that he is backing away from the public option, health insurance stocks have been on the rise.' Similarly, healthcare stocks rallied when Senator Max Baucus introduced a bill without a public option. Bloomberg reports that Curtis Lane, a prominent health industry investor, predicted a few weeks ago that 'money will start flowing in again' to health insurance stocks after passage of the legislation. Investors.com last month reported that pharmacy benefit managers share prices are hitting all-time highs, with the only industry worry that the Administration would reverse its decision not to negotiate Medicare Part D drug prices, leaving in place a Bush Administration policy.
During the debate, when the interests of insurance companies would have been effectively challenged, that challenge was turned back. The 'robust public option' which would have offered a modicum of competition to a monopolistic industry was whittled down from an initial potential enrollment of 129 million Americans to 6 million. An amendment which would have protected the rights of states to pursue single-payer health care was stripped from the bill at the request of the Administration. Looking ahead, we cringe at the prospect of even greater favors for insurance companies.
Recent rises in unemployment indicate a widening separation between the finance economy and the real economy. The finance economy considers the health of Wall Street, rising corporate profits, and banks' hoarding of cash, much of it from taxpayers, as sign of an economic recovery. However in the real economy - in which most Americans live - the recession is not over. Rising unemployment, business failures, bankruptcies and foreclosures are still hammering Main Street.
This health care bill continues the redistribution of wealth to Wall Street at the expense of America's manufacturing and service economies which suffer from costs other countries do not have to bear, especially the cost of health care. America continues to stand out among all industrialized nations for its privatized health care system. As a result, we are less competitive in steel, automotive, aerospace and shipping while other countries subsidize their exports in these areas through socializing the cost of health care.
Notwithstanding the fate of H.R. 3962, America will someday come to recognize the broad social and economic benefits of a not-for-profit, single-payer health care system, which is good for the American people and good for America's businesses, with of course the notable exceptions being insurance and pharmaceuticals.

The dollar will get “utterly destroyed” and become “virtually worthless”, said Damon Vickers, chief investment officer of Nine Points Capital Partners. Due to the huge wage disparities between the United States and emerging markets like China, Vickers said that may resolve itself in some type of a global currency crisis.
“If the global currency crisis unfolds, then inevitably you get an alignment of a global world government. A new global currency and a new world order, so we may be moving towards that,” he said.
Decrying Barack Obama as "white power in black face," hundreds of African-Americans marched on the White House Saturday to protest policies of the first black US president, and demand that he bring US troops home.
More than 200 people gathered for the first public demonstration by African Americans against the Obama administration since his historic inauguration in January, and slammed the president for continuing what they described as Washington's "imperialist" agenda around the world.
"We recognize that Barack Hussein Obama is white power in black face," civil rights activist Omali Yeshitela, chairman of the Black is Back coalition which arranged the protest, called into a megaphone as the group marched outside the mansion's gates.
"He is a tool of our imperialist enemies and we demand our freedom. And we demand that Obama withdraw all the troops from Afghanistan right now."
Protesters also called for Obama to order troops out of Iraq and to scrap Africom, the controversial year-old United States Africa Command, and demanded "hands off" Venezuela and ends to the Cuba embargo and the Zimbabwe blockade.
Several demonstrators held up placards bearing messages such as "US out of Afghanistan" and "Stop US war against Iraq."
Charles Baron, a New York city councilman and former member of the Black Panthers, a Black Power movement in the mid-1960s and 1970s, attacked the president for turning a cold shoulder to the plight of African-Americans.
"We're not satisfied with him, and... this hope and change rap has not been a reality for black people," Baron told AFP during the demonstration.
"We are glad that Barack Obama broke up the white male monopoly on the White House, but we were not looking for a change in the occupant of the White House from white to black, we were looking for change in foreign policies and domestic policies," he added.
"To have a black person exploiting me just like a white person, that's no easier pain."
The group also was calling for the release of former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was convicted in 1982 of killing a white police officer and sentenced to death.
The US Supreme Court upheld Abu-Jamal's conviction in April and rejected his bid for a new trial.
Black Americans voted overwhelmingly for Democrat Obama in last year's election, when he defeated Republican Senator John McCain.
About 13 percent of US citizens are African-Americans.
While normal everyday oblivious Americans were preparing their beds to sleep Saturday night their elected officials quietly passed H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act. Indeed, the passage of this act deals one of the final death blows to the Constitution and with it our liberties.
As I ponder upon this momentously horrid occurrence it is as if I have just woken up from a nightmare and been thrown directly into the plot of George Orwell’s 1984, with no hope of escape. As this thought grabs hold I am lead to ponder more and more about America and I ask myself a few questions.
Since when did the Constitution provide for a health care guarantee? Since when did the Constitution grant the Congress the power to force Americans into a health care dystopia? What good is a Constitution if we choose to ignore it? What good is a Constitution if the Congress simply chooses to create a new one in their own graven socialist image?
Truly, these questions are meaningless now. The Constitution is hanging by the tiniest of threads. Who will save it? Who will come to its rescue?
It is the everyday middle class American that will suffer the consequences of this travesty. Indeed, while the economy is reeling and unemployment pushes depression-era levels the arrogant Congress has decided to pass the biggest expansion of government in the history of the United States. It will create a new tax that will primarily be felt by the middle class, the ones most likely affected by the current depression. This is because as Americans are forced to purchase health insurance, the wealthy will have no problem paying for escalating costs. Nor will the poor feel the burden as they will receive government health insurance subsidies. Yet, the forgotten man will be the middle class working American who now already struggling against the burden of economic ruin will be forced to pay fines or even face possible jail time for not complying with our government’s take over of his/her health care. As this tax sinks in, the middle class will be forced downward into the ranks of the working poor and therefore into the ranks of government rationed medical care. Inevitably, government healthcare will swallow the whole of the medical insurance world and there will be no escape.

This dystopian vision will consist of patients waiting in long lines and when they are finally permitted to see their doctor there will be much fruitless begging and pleading for the treatment that they desperately need. But no mercy will be given because the doctor will have become nothing more than a desk-clerk, simply following the government treatment protocols.
“What, you have shoulder pain?” Your doctor asks. “Well, the treatment protocol for this condition provided by our majestic government says you have to wait two years to get a MRI or to see an Orthopedist. I am sorry. Here are a few pain pills. There is nothing more that I can do. Have a nice day.”
Such will be the conservation heard in doctor’s offices throughout America. Don’t believe me? I have personally lived in the socialist countries that we are now trying to emulate. This is the reality in these countries and the people there simply accept it and learn not to complain. We, in America, will also come to learn and accept over time what our benevolent government has chosen to grant us.
And what about our parents? It will not be long before the health care budget spirals out of control and our benevolent government is forced to make cuts. Who will they cut off first? Why, our parents of course. The government will say that the elderly simply cost too much. They will say that the elderly are no longer productive members of society and have only a few years to live anyway so let’s just stop providing life-saving surgeries or needed food and water for these no longer useful people. Don’t believe me? Just look to these same socialist countries where the elderly are frequently pushed into hospice death programs when they have no terminal illness and denied needed surgeries because they are too old.
I could go on and on. Such is the fury and simultaneously the sorrow I feel for our country. Now is the time for our voices to be heard. Now is the time to make a stand before it is too late.

WAXAHACHIE, TEXAS – A kidney dialysis clinic threatened to pull treatment from an elderly patient who distributed DVDs warning of the dangers of the swine flu vaccine, and then was told to sign a “behavior agreement” to cease the practice.
The patient, who requested anonymity for fear that she would be retaliated against by doctors and medical staff for coming forward, was cited once before by specialists and office managers for distributing Aaron Russo’s America: From Freedom to Fascism as well, she said.
Located on Interstate 35 East and Farm to Market Road 66, the officer manager for FMC Dialysis Services who handed the patient the “behavior agreement” refused to comment.
“Our company is a large company, so I can’t comment,” the office manager said, who refused to give her name. “I don’t make company policy, I just follow it.”
The two-page behavior agreement came with an audio recording prohibition policy after the patient attempted to record meetings with the doctors and staff who threatened her.
The patient, who still must rely on the dialysis center for treatment, said she is fearful that causing “trouble” by coming to the press will cause the clinic to follow through on their threats.
The swine flu DVD, the patient said, was the 1979 60 Minutes clip that broadcast a report about the dangers of taking the swine flu vaccination.

"One hundred percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the federal debt. All individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services taxpayers expect from government."
Education, health and community up keep is paid for out of state and local property taxes, gas taxes, liquor taxes, you name it. Proceeds from the income tax do not pay for these things.The income tax money goes to pay for defense and the expansion of corporate America. In essence everyday American people are funding expansionist wars and the playboy lifestyle of the financial institutions that then further profit from that activity and become ever more powerful.
The income tax is the tool of totalitarianism. It is the means by which the corporate controlled government manipulates the people on a mass scale and locks them into servitude. If the people do not know what their rights are then an agency that knowingly breaks the law is not going to tell them.
The banks now control America. They print the currency and tell the people what it's worth. They have the legal right to counterfeit money. This coup d'etat of benign open and accountable government by elitist private interest represents the tipping point from freedom and the long slide towards fascism. Since the government's primary goal stopped being the welfare of the people it has ceased to exist as a legal entity.
This is exactly what Thomas Jefferson warned the American people may happen. Jefferson said:

FAIRBANKS — An 81-year-old man was Tasered during a traffic stop last week.
It is the second time since 1998 that police have had to make a show of force during a traffic stop to arrest Glen M. Wilcox, a Fairbanks-based Episcopalian priest and real estate agent.
Court documents allege that officers with Eielson Air Force Base’s 354th Security Forces Squadron pulled Wilcox over just after 1 p.m. Wednesday for going 11 miles over the speed limit on the Richardson Highway.
An officer, identified as a senior airman in court documents, took Wilcox’s license, registration and proof of insurance and wrote him a traffic citation. When he returned to Wilcox’s car, Wilcox refused to accept the documents and sped down the highway, according to a criminal complaint filed in court.
Wilcox disputes that version of events.
“They waved to me and I thought that meant I could go on,” Wilcox said. “They stopped me again and told me to get out of my car.”
Alaska State Troopers were notified of the incident, and the 354th “initiated a high-risk traffic stop” near 336 Mile Richardson Highway. When Wilcox, a former commander of the Civil Air Patrol, again stopped, he initially refused to roll down his window.
He eventually got out of his vehicle and was told to put his hands behind his back, something he claims is physically impossible for him.
“I showed them I could barely touch my fingertips and they insisted,” he said.
Charging documents allege Wilcox used profanity with the airmen. When they tried to handcuff him, Wilcox, described in court documents as being 6 feet 1 inch tall and 250 pounds, allegedly tried to jerk away from the airmen and used his body to push them around, a claim he also disputes.
After several warnings, one of the airmen used a Taser on Wilcox to take him into custody.
“It hurts like hell,” Wilcox said. “I’m laying on the ground when they Tasered me. It’s painful and very sharp.”
Wilcox said the incident left his arms bruised and he had to seek treatment at a doctor. He also obtained a lawyer but would not elaborate on how he intends to pursue the case.
“If I were their base commander, I would put them in jail,” he said. “Four young men in their 20s do not need to Taser and handcuff an 81-year-old.”
The next day, prosecutors dropped a charge of fourth-degree misdemeanor assault against Wilcox. He pleaded not guilty to counts of resisting arrest — a misdemeanor — and failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer, a felony. He later posted $250 bail.
Air Force regulations authorize law enforcement officials to use Tasers to arrest subjects who are actively resisting arrest or noncompliant with law enforcement orders, said Staff Sgt. James Stewart, a spokesman for Eielson. Regulations do not give different directives on how to deal with older subjects.
The airmen used a minimum amount of nonlethal force to resolve the situation, Stewart said.
In May 1998, Wilcox was accused of a similar incident when Fairbanks International Airport police pulled him over for driving with expired tags. Wilcox reportedly became belligerent with police and grabbed and twisted a female officer’s arm. In that case, he had to be pepper-sprayed to be taken into custody.
Wilcox said the truck he was driving at the time had an issue that it would not start again within five minutes of starting it up. He pulled the officer’s arm away to keep her from grabbing the key out of the ignition, he said.
He later pleaded guilty to a reduced count of disorderly conduct and a misdemeanor count of failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer. He successfully completed probation and more than 100 hours of community service.
Several people who said they knew Wilcox for decades wrote letters to the judge before sentencing, saying the incident was extremely out of character for him.
Despite clear link between anti-depressants and mass shootings, media fails to ask if Hasan was on SSRI’s
Despite the fact that Fort Hood gunman Nidal Malik Hasan was a psychiatrist, the media has failed to even raise the question of whether he was taking psychotropic drugs before he gunned down over a dozen of his colleagues during yesterday’s tragic rampage, a hefty indictment of how the establishment rushes to blame politics, religion, gun rights, or any other factor for mass shootings in order to hide the direct link between such massacres and the use of anti-depressant drugs.
In almost every major mass shooting over the past two decades, since anti-depressant drugs became popular, the killer has been on SSRI’s – serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
The establishment media, allied closely as it is with the pharmaceutical industry, uniformly fails to stress this common factor, preferring instead to blame shootings on gun rights or, as in the case of Hasan, political motives.
However, any fair study of mass shootings cannot justifiably come to any other conclusion but the fact that SSRI’s play a central role in causing assassin’s to go berserk and engage in the kind of carnage that the average person struggles to comprehend.
Immediately after we learned of the Virginia Tech massacre, the largest mass shooting in U.S. history by a single gunman, we predicted that the assassin would be on psychotropic drugs, which is exactly what turned out to be the case.
Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, as well as 15-year-old Kip Kinkel, the Oregon killer who gunned down his parents and classmates, were all on psychotropic drugs.
Robert Hawkins, the 19 year old who killed himself and eight other people with an assault rifle in Omaha, Nebraska in December 2007 had a history of treatment with psychiatric drugs for depression and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and was on prozac.
Jeff Weise, the Red Lake High School killer was on prozac, “Unabomber” Ted Kaczinski, Michael McDermott, John Hinckley, Jr., Byran Uyesugi, Mark David Chapman and Charles Carl Roberts IV, the Amish school killer, were all on SSRI psychotropic drugs.
Northern Illinois University killer Steven Kazmierczak had taken Prozac.
Since these deadly drugs are prevalent in almost all mass shooting incidents, where is the call to ban prozac? Why is the knee-jerk reaction always to attack the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans to self-defense? The fact that yesterday’s shooting occurred on an Army base is the only reason that the establishment media has been unable to blame the carnage on gun rights. Instead, they have exploited Hasan’s religion to stir up more hatred for Muslims in a crude attempt to reinvigorate flagging public support for the war on terror.
Scientific studies proving that prozac encourages suicidal tendencies are voluminous and span back nearly a decade.
In 2005, it was revealed that Eli Lilly had full knowledge of a 1200% increase in suicide risk for takers of their Prozac. This evidence came in the wake of findings published in the British Medical Journal a year previously.
It is a well known fact among the makers of these drugs that they are directly linked to behavioral disturbances including agitation, panic attacks and extreme aggression, yet their use is so commonplace that they have now even found their way into our drinking water.
The corporate media, owned as it is by the U.S. military-industrial complex, will continue to gratuitously and shamelessly exploit yesterday’s tragedy by characterizing Hasan’s religious and political beliefs as the main motivation behind the massacre, without even investigating whether or not he was taking psychotropic drugs and what role these played in why he suddenly snapped, a character trait completely at odds with how Hasan’s own family described his personality.
The videos below highlight the connection between psychotropic drugs and violence.
While the Iraqi government continued its large-scale military assault in Basra, the NPR reporter's voice from Iraq was unequivocal this morning: "There is no doubt that this operation needed to happen."
Such flat-out statements, uttered with journalistic tones and without attribution, are routine for the U.S. media establishment. In the "War Made Easy" documentary film, I put it this way: "If you're pro-war, you're objective. But if you're anti-war, you're biased. And often, a news anchor will get no flak at all for making statements that are supportive of a war and wouldn't dream of making a statement that's against a war."
So it goes at NPR News, where -- on "Morning Edition" as well as the evening program "All Things Considered" -- the sense and sensibilities tend to be neatly aligned with the outlooks of official Washington. The critical aspects of reporting largely amount to complaints about policy shortcomings that are tactical; the underlying and shared assumptions are imperial. Washington's prerogatives are evident when the media window on the world is tinted red-white-and-blue.
Earlier this week -- a few days into the sixth year of the Iraq war -- "All Things Considered" aired a discussion with a familiar guest.
"To talk about the state of the war and how the U.S. military changes tactics to deal with it," said longtime anchor Robert Siegel, "we turn now to retired Gen. Robert Scales, who's talked with us many times over the course of the conflict."
This is the sort of introduction that elevates a guest to truly expert status -- conveying to the listeners that expertise and wisdom, not just opinions, are being sought.
Siegel asked about the progression of assaults on U.S. troops over the years: "How have the attacks and the countermeasures to them evolved?"
Naturally, Gen. Scales responded with the language of a military man. "The enemy has built ever-larger explosives," he said. "They've found clever ways to hide their IEDs, their roadside bombs, and even more diabolical means for detonating these devices."
We'd expect a retired American general to speak in such categorical terms -- referring to "the enemy" and declaring in a matter-of-fact tone that attacks on U.S. troops became even more "diabolical." But what about an American journalist?
Well, if the American journalist is careful to function with independence instead of deference to the Pentagon, then the journalist's assumptions will sound different than the outlooks of a high-ranking U.S. military officer.
In this case, an independent reporter might even be willing to ask a pointed question along these lines: You just used the word "diabolical" to describe attacks on the U.S. military by Iraqis, but would that ever be an appropriate adjective to use to describe attacks on Iraqis by the U.S. military?
In sharp contrast, what happened during the "All Things Considered" discussion on March 24 was a conversation of shared sensibilities. The retired U.S. Army general discussed the war effort in terms notably similar to those of the ostensibly independent journalist -- who, along the way, made the phrase "the enemy" his own in a followup question.
It wouldn't be fair to judge an entire news program on the basis of a couple of segments. But I'm a frequent listener to "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition." Such cozy proximity of world views, blanketing the war maker and the war reporter, is symptomatic of what ails NPR's war coverage -- especially from Washington.
Of course there are exceptions. Occasional news reports stray from the narrow baseline. But the essence of the propaganda function is repetition, and the exceptional does not undermine that function.
To add insult to injury, NPR calls itself public radio. It's supposed to be willing to go where commercial networks fear to tread. But overall, when it comes to politics and war, the range of perspectives on National Public Radio isn't any wider than what we encounter on the avowedly commercial networks.

When Rupert Dickinson, the chief executive of one of Britain's biggest property firms, left his BlackBerry behind in London while on a business trip to Ireland, he simply ordered one of his staff to get on a plane and deliver the device to him.
For Dickinson's then head of sustainability, Tim Nicholson, the errand was much more than an executive indulgence: it embodied the contempt with which his boss treated his deep philosophical beliefs about climate change.
In a significant decision today , a judge found Nicholson's views on the environment were so deeply held that they were entitled to the same protection as religious convictions, and ruled that an employment tribunal should hear his claim that he was sacked because of his beliefs.
The judgment could open the door for people to take their employers to tribunals over their stance on a range of issues, from animal rights to feminism.
Earlier this year, Nicholson, 42, claimed that his beliefs had put him at odds with senior executives at his former employer Grainger, the UK's largest listed residential property company. When he was made redundant in July last year, he launched his legal action.
He alleged that while the firm had good written policies on the environment it had refused to abide by them, and claimed that when he tried to encourage the company to become more responsible, he was obstructed by his bosses. Dickinson, in particular, had shown "contempt" for his beliefs, Nicholson told the employment appeal tribunal, citing the BlackBerry incident as evidence.
In today's ruling, Mr Justice Michael Burton decided that: "A belief in man-made climate change, and the alleged resulting moral imperatives, is capable if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations." Under those regulations it is unlawful to discriminate against a person on the grounds of their religious or philosophical beliefs.
The written ruling, which looked at whether philosophy could be underpinned by a scientific belief, quoted from Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy and ultimately concluded that a belief in climate change, while a political view about science, can also be a philosophical one. The same judge ruled last year that Al Gore's environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth was political and partisan as he assessed whether it should be shown to schools.
Nicholson's solicitor, Shah Qureshi, said: "This case confirms, for the ever increasing number of people who take a philosophical stance on the environment and climate change, and who lead their lives according to those principles, that they are protected from discrimination."
In March, employment judge David Neath gave Nicholson permission to take the firm to tribunal over his treatment, but the ruling was challenged by Grainger on the grounds that green views are not the same as religious or philosophical beliefs. The firm maintained that environmental views are political and a "lifestyle choice" which cannot be compared to religion or philosophy.
Legal experts said tonight the ruling could usher in future damages claims over the way firms handle environmental concerns. Peter Mooney, head of the Employment Law Advisory Service, said: "This would open the floodgates for others who believe their employers have victimised them simply because of their views on the environment."
Camilla Palmer, of Leigh Day and Co, said it opened doors for an even wider category of deeply held beliefs, such as feminism, vegetarianism or humanism. "It's a great decision. Why should it only be religions which are protected?"
At the Employment Appeal Tribunal last month, Dinah Rose QC, for Nicholson, said: "The philosophical belief in this case is that mankind is headed towards catastrophic climate change and that, as a result, we are under a duty to do all that we can to live our lives so as to mitigate or avoid that catastrophe for future generations. It addresses the question, what are the duties that we own to the environment and why?"
Nicholson, who now works for the 10:10 climate change campaign running its health care strand, said he was delighted by the ruling. He said: "It is the moral and ethical values that I hold that have motivated me to action on climate change and these moral and ethical values are similar to those promoted by the world's major religions."
However, he did not believe that climate change was the new religion, because "it is based on scientific evidence, not faith or spirituality".
Grainger's corporate affairs director, Dave Butler, said: "This decision merely confirms that views on the importance of environmental protection are capable of amounting to a philosophical belief.
"Grainger absolutely maintains, as it has done from the very outset of these proceedings, that Mr Nicholson's redundancy was driven solely by the operational needs of the company."
Five tests
In his written judgment, Mr Justice Burton outlined five tests to determine whether a philosophical belief could come under employment regulations on religious discrimination
• The belief must be genuinely held.
• It must be a belief and not an opinion or view based on the present state of information available.
• It must be a belief as to a weighty and substantial aspect of human life.
• It must attain a certain level of cogency, seriousness, cohesion and importance.
• It must be worthy of respect in a democratic society, not incompatible with human dignity and not conflict with the fundamental rights of others.
Humanism was given as an example meeting the criteria, while belief in a political party or the supreme nature of Jedi knights, from the Star Wars movies, were offered as ones that do not.

Al Gore has been on the defensive over his financial motives for pushing for a cap and trade system to reduce CO2 emissions, arguing that he is merely putting his money where his mouth is, however, a startling revelation in a recent Newsweek article proves that Gore is only interested in solutions to environmental problems that line his pockets.
For argument’s sake, let’s accept the highly contentious premise that the life-giving gas that humans exhale and plants absorb, carbon dioxide, is a dastardly evil threat to the planet, despite the fact that Al Gore himself admits CO2 is not the major driver of global warming.
If there was a solution to neutralize CO2 emissions that didn’t involve devastating the economy, taxing the citizens into oblivion, de-industrializing the west and giving government huge regulatory powers over our private lives, would Al Gore, Maurice Strong and the rest of the kingpins of the globalist environmental movement be interested?
You can bet your bottom dollar they’re not interested.
“If we feed the biology and manage grasslands appropriately, we could sequester as much carbon as we emit,” says Timothy LaSalle, CEO of the Rodale Institute, who presented at two summits. The political clash is this: if you tell people soils can be managed to suck up lots of our carbon emissions, it sounds like a get-out-of-jail-free card, and could decrease what little enthusiasm there is for reducing those emissions—as one of Gore’s assistants told LaSalle in asking him to dial down his estimate. (He didn’t.)
So there you have it – LaSalle proposed a way of solving the CO2 issue but was basically told to shove it by Gore’s team because the methods he advocated would eliminate the need for what Gore and his cronies are really pursuing, nightmare regulation, taxation, and control over American’s lives, along with billions of dollars flooding into the coffers of Gore and the rest of the “carbon billionaire” globalists via the carbon trading systems they own.
“Could it be that Mr Gore and his team want the US economy and its free market system to be overturned regardless of the science? Could it be that they do not want to know about any science that does not allow them to tax and interfere in the lives of every American?” ask Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer.
“This is an outrageous interference in science for a political purpose. But what is the political purpose? Al Gore has called for stopping the use of fossil fuels and the complete restructuring of the economy in the US within ten years but when offered a chance to remove “harmful” CO2 from the atmosphere his team tries to change the science.”
That’s because Gore doesn’t give a damn about the science and he doesn’t give a damn about the environment. Like the rest of the vultures circling around the rich pickings of the global warming fraud, his only interest is in feasting on the corpse of the U.S. economy and the American taxpayer once he manages to ram though the cap and trade scam that will enrich the very carbon trading systems he owns.

Monday night I attended the “Stand Up America” rally in Houston hosted by the North Houston Tea Party Patriots. And while I feel the event was a resounding success, I couldn’t help but get a feeling of despair among 15,000 patriotic Americans who truly do want to see our country restored to the Constitutional Republic under which it was formed. These are all good, hard-working, salt-of-the-earth people who simply want government out of their lives as every American should. And I couldn’t agree more.
No, it’s not that feeling of hope and determination to see our country freed from the grips of corruption and the abject dismissal of the public will by our “elected” leaders which caused me such despair. It was the fact that while so many of these great Americans are so right on so many issues, they have for the most part, fallen hook, line and sinker for the Big Lie. These are the red-blooded Americans who have drunk the “Islamo-fascist” Kool-Aid served up by the main stream media, especially Fox News, and created by the Pentagon, NGOs, “think-tanks” and intelligence agencies of the world. This delusion is akin to the left-wing liberals and “progressives” who drank and still consume the “Change we can believe in” lie which swept Obama into office last year.
We were told more that 8 years ago that 9/11 changed everything. We have largely bought that lie, collectively, as a nation and because of this, let the powers that be run roughshod over our Constitution, our rule of law and our way of life all in the name of “security” and defending our homeland from the “evil doers” of the world. From this lie, has risen in this country a fervent patriotism and attitude that America can do no wrong in the world. We’re the “good guys” after all.
So while all these Tea Partiers, 9-12 activists, Red-Staters and conservative Republicans are right on so many issues such as ending the Federal Reserve system, abolishing the income tax, enforcing states rights, the global warming hoax, blocking Cap & Trade and the abysmal government “health-care” reform, and massively reducing the size and scope of our federal bureaucracy, they are dead wrong on their unflinching and unwitting support of “our troops.” They still believe that “you’re either with us, or you’re with the terrorists.” What a slick sales (con) job that line was…
Now don’t get me wrong here. As an honorably discharged Army veteran who served four years for his country, I know many people will get offended by that last statement, so let me explain further.
If you’ve ever read George Orwell’s, 1984, you know that, “Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.” This seems eerily similar to the lie that we’ve been sold about the terrorist threat to our country. The lie that we need a “100-year war” because this enemy doesn’t abide by the “traditional” rules of war (whatever THAT means), and that we need to take the battle to them so we don’t end up with a “mushroom cloud” over here, is just that: a LIE. Perhaps a quick review of history will drive home this point:

Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don’t want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

It is precisely this “Islamo-fascist/War on Terror” lie which is propagated by not only right-wing media personalities such as Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly among many others, but an increasing amount of left-wing media talking-heads like Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow as well now that “their guy” is in power. The war is suddenly OK. “Obama is just doing his best to clean up Bush’ mess. There’s only so much he can do, you know.” Yeah, right.
Well, my fellow patriotic Americans, it’s not OK.
It’s not OK that we went into Iraq, killled over 1.3 million innocent civilians, polluted their soil and water with depleted uranium munitions, displaced millions of other Iraqis, and have turned their country into a third-world cesspool so that we could control their oil. It’s not OK that we went into Afghanistan so that we could re-invigorate the opium trade (which had been all but decimated by the Taliban), keep the black market money flowing to fund the CIA, ISI, MI6, Mossad, etc., and ensure record crops of poppy fields while “our troops” stand guard. Pat Tillman was about to come home and expose it all until he was murdered by his own government.
So, my fellow Americans, please understand that when you blindly say you “support the troops” because that’s what good Americans do, you are only supporting the individual and NOT their command or their mission. For it has been proven that their mission is a lie, a fraud, unconstitutional and illegal. Support the individual and pray for their safety – not only from our “supposed” enemies who are merely defending their own homeland, sovereignty, property and natural resources, but from those in our own government who use them merely as instruments in their sick and twisted game of global empire and world domination. As Henry Kissinger, one of the long-time establishment’s “elite” minions and another questionable winner of the Nobel “Peace” Prize, so bluntly put it, “Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” This is the same attitude of your leaders in DC.
Yes, it is sad that our troops have been reduced to the heavy hand enforcers of western “democracy” under a corrupt and tyrannical American government. Our troops are now nothing more than the strong arm of the global mafia: the cabal of central banks and greedy corporations of the world working in concert to rob the wealth of nations and impoverish and enslave the good people of the world. These criminals own the entire military industrial complex, to include the “troops” and these are the same people pushing hard for their “global government” which will be pushed further down the path to realization in Copenhagen, Denmark this December under the guise of once again, “saving humanity from itself.”
These so-called “elite” are the true destroyers of humanity and all that is good in the world and they have the nerve to use false patriotism and wrap themselves in the American flag as they send our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers off to fight and die in unjust wars in foreign lands. Not to protect and defend our Constitution, our ideals, our morals and our way of life, but to ensure the corporate takeover of the world; to enable the raping and pillaging of sovereign lands not for the gain of world peace or “democracy”, but of PROFIT and greater and greater power; and to lead humanity towards the neo-feudal system which has been their dream and ultimate end game for decades, if not centuries.
If nothing else in my life, I have learned one very important lesson: if you want to get to the truth about anything, you need to only figure out two things:
1. Who is benefitting from this?
and
2. Follow the money.
By simply taking the time and doing your own research, your due diligence and your duty not only as an American citizen, but as a member of all humanity, you will always come to the truth. As it was written in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given to you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.”
So I put this challenge out to ALL my fellow patriots, freedom-fighters, conservatives, libertarians and liberals alike: Seek the TRUTH and ye shall find.
Reject the corporate controlled main stream media, especially the NeoCon conservative talk show hosts around the country – and yes, this includes Glenn Beck, your so-called libertarian “hero.” I know this will come as a shock to most of you who hang on his every word, but he is not your friend. He is paid VERY WELL to lead you all to a false conclusion, especially on matters of the war on terror and the “Islamo-fascist” threat. He is a Judas goat. He was given a $50 million contract! You don’t think that someone, somewhere has an ulterior motive behind paying this former alcoholic that kind of money? All he does is help to propagate the Big Lie by giving you so much of the truth that you actually believe there is no way he can be wrong about anything else, right? Wrong.
How wrong? He was wrong about Ron Paul and popped up to demonize the movement last year just as Ron Paul was gaining his greatest momentum. He is wrong about 9/11, claims the official government report and Popular Mechanics article is the definitive truth and labels anyone calling for a real, comprehensive and scientific investigation of the greatest crime ever committed on American soil, a Kook. He was wrong about the Patriot Act, which he supported. He was wrong about he banker bailout, which he supported. He was wrong about the FEMA camps which has been thoroughly proven in the brilliant new documentary, Camp FEMA: American Lockdown.
He is basically wrong about the Big Issues; the important key points which will expose the true hijackers of our liberties and leads you astray down the path of “hope.” Where have we heard that word bandied about before? Hmmm? Hope is number 3 on his list of 12 values the 9-12 movement, which he created, abides by. Hope is a false and empty emotion which only leads to inaction. He’ll take your hope and lead you all right off the cliff. That’s exactly for what he’s paid the big bucks.
Always remember this. You could eat the most beautiful, juicy and delicious apple in the world, but if there is just one drop of cyanide in that apple, it will most likely kill you. That’s the essential purpose of the corporate-controlled media. They are not there to inform or educate, they are there to indoctrinate. They are there to perpetuate the false left/right paradigm so as to divide and conquer a nation. They are there to lie, spin, distort and stretch reality to fit a pre-determined agenda. The are controlled ultimately by the same people, corporations, and monied interests who control the Federal Reserve banking system which is destroying our country by design. It’s all about control and manipulation of our minds, our thoughts, our beliefs, our attitudes, and thus, our actions.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of the conservative minds in this country have fallen victim to the manipulation of the Big Lie, which is the “War on Terror.” It’s no more than the modern incarnation of the “War on Poverty”, the “War on Cancer”, or the “War on Drugs.” All of which, I might add, have been colossal failures while lining the pockets and increasing the power of the authoritarian establishment which has benefitted from them all.
Ultimately, all the belief in the Big Lie will do is cripple the patriot movement as the outrage against the Democrats and the damage they’ve done to our nation will increase support for the Republicans. And the fake, NeoCon “conservatives” will once again be swept into power. All the while, the hundred-year war rages on as one puppet of the establishment replaces another. This is the purpose and mission of Glenn Beck. He is paid controlled opposition designed to further the establishments goals – not to re-ignite the spirit of the American freedom fighter. Quit buying into the Big Lie. You’re smarter than that.
And ask yourself the next time you blindly cheer in support of our troops, “who is benefitting from this?” Is it the country and citizens of Iraq or Afghanistan? Is it the believers of the essentially peaceful Islamic religion? Is it our troops coming home maimed, traumatized, poisoned and in body bags? Or is it Halliburton, KBR, BP Amoco, Exxon Mobil, CACI, Dyncorp, Blackwater, L3 Communications, Raytheon, Titan , GE, McDonnell Douglas and so on and so on….? Is it our federal government who has since 2001, gutted our Constitution in a power grab never before seen in American history? Who has benefitted? Follow the money. Seek the TRUTH. And if you really do support the troops, fight, with everything you have to end these illegal wars of aggression and empire-building so that we can bring them home to do what they’re sworn to do: protect our borders from foreign invasion, and protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America!

I am not a writer. I am an American. I am simply someone who is fed up with the establishment , the “elite” and the way things are not only in this country, but around the world. I am also fed up with the apathy, ignorance and arrogance of much of the American populace. I sat down today to scribble down some thoughts and the words just flowed out of my mind. You see, I know and have come to the understanding that if ONLY the people would wake up to the truth and realize the lies we’ve been told by those in power for so long, that we could peacefully take our world back from the darkness which has descended over it. Creating AWARENESS is the key and I’m just merely trying to do my little part.
I woke up over 2 ½ years ago and my journey down the rabbit hole has been enlightening, educational, sometimes frightening and time-consuming, to say the least. I have done thousands of hours of research, to include reading books about TRUE history, reading hundreds of articles from alternative media uncontrolled by corporations, and watched hundreds of documentaries; some better than others and some, a complete waste of time.
I recently moved to Texas from Chicago to be closer to family and because it is increasingly becoming a God-forsaken police-state hell hole of a city in which to live. I was even on one occasion pulled over, had guns drawn on me, cuffed, frisked, searched and had my rights completely violated for simply being white in a black neighborhood at night. Ironically, I was simply out of filtered water and on the way to the store get some more because I refuse to ingest their “healthy” fluoride. I attended the Tea Party last night to network and get involved with the local patriot organizations so I can do what I can to help restore our Republic, but I am still amazed at how many people are so snowed by the right-wing media, Fox News and especially Glenn Beck. I and many others like me, (I guess those with a lot of discernment) can see right through the guy’s little bait-and-switch, snake-oil salesman act.
I decided to sit down and write out my thoughts because of the adoration I saw last night for Glenn and the apparent NeoCon conservatives running the show. I hear them on the radio and just want to scream as they perpetuate the lies over and over. I felt I needed to reach out to these people because they are passionate in their beliefs and are working so hard to do what they can to help out our country. But they’re wrong on this one issue and it’s a HUGE issue. We can get this country back and return to a peaceful and prosperous nation once these criminals are removed from power. But that can’t happen as long as the conservatives think the only problem is the liberals and the socialists. It’s much, much bigger than that and we all need to understand and discover the Big Lie if we’re to move forward in the right direction.
We need to be told the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help us, God. Replacing Democrats with war-mongering NeoCons simply because they’re Republican, is NOT the answer to what ails our country. The left/right paradigm is an integral part of the Big Lie. We need to realize that and shatter these false beliefs once and for all. What we need are candidates and politicians, be they Libertarian, Green, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative or whatever label they want to put on themselves, who have SWORN to SUPPORT and DEFEND The Constitution of the United States of America. Nothing more, nothing less. They need to be vetted to make sure they are for real. The only thing which will save this country at this point is the TRUTH, justice and Constitutional candidates sworn to uphold the law of our land. Ron Paul, Marcy Kaptur, Chuck Baldwin, Charles Key, Alan Grayson, Dennis Kucinich, and Brad Sherman, are all stellar examples of the type of person we should all be supporting for public office. Just because they have an “R” next to their name, doesn’t mean they’re going to be good for our country and uphold true, conservative values. We’ve been lied to by many Republicans in the past and we’ll be lied to by more in the future.
So you may be asking yourself, how do I get the truth and how do I know it’s the truth? If the main stream media is attacking it, demonizing it, marginalizing it, calling it kooky or a conspiracy theory, you can probably be sure you’re on the right path. Use your common sense and your discernment. Follow the money and figure out who benefits. To help you on your journey, I have created a list of documentaries, websites, writers and books which are all excellent sources of truth in our world. It is what helped me to wake up to all of this and should be mandatory education for all Americans.
After all, freedom isn’t free and we need to spend the time necessary to educate ourselves about our TRUE history. A cover story about former Vice President Al Gore’s new book, Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis, landed in my mailbox last week. Time? No. Newsweek? Nice try. Popular Science? Guess again.
The magazine was The Costco Connection, the wholesale giant’s monthly publication for members. Gore wrote a piece that was deemed an exclusive.
“Fortunately, there is a growing realization that the solutions to the climate crisis are also the most important solutions for the other two crises (the recession and national security),” the entrepreneur/author/Nobel Prize winner/Belle Meade resident wrote. “We can simultaneously protect our climate and establish stability for our economy and our national security.”

Finding the Costco Connection magazine in my mailbox with Al Gore’s picture on was akin to looking at porn. I was repulsed! What moronic company would endorse CAP and TAX when it’s bread and butter are small businesses like ours. We promptly closed our COSTCO account and opened an account at SAMS CLUB. Much better service, I might add, at SAMS. At least now we aren’t feeding the pig anymore.

Last year Mr Gore's venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.
The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.
The move means that venture capital company Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.
Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy as Mr Gore. And few have put as much money behind their advocacy and are as well positioned to profit from this green transformation, if and when it comes.
Critics, mostly on the political right and among global warming sceptics, say Mr. Gore is poised to become the world's first "carbon billionaire," profiteering from government policies he supports that would direct billions of dollars to the business ventures he has invested in.
Representative Marsha Blackburn, Republican of Tennessee, has claimed that Mr Gore stood to benefit personally from the energy and climate policies he was urging Congress to adopt.
Mr Gore had said that he is simply putting his money where his mouth is.
"Do you think there is something wrong with being active in business in this country?" Mr. Gore said. "I am proud of it. I am proud of it."

A common charge leveled against global warming skeptics is that they are on the payroll of transnational oil companies, when in fact the opposite is true, oil companies are amongst the biggest promoters of climate change propaganda, emphasized recently by Exxon Mobil’s call for a global carbon tax.
According to Exxon Mobil chief executive Rex Tillerson, the cap and trade nightmare being primed for passage in the Senate doesn’t go far enough – Tillerson wants a direct tax on carbon dioxide emissions, essentially a tax on breathing since we all exhale this life-giving gas.
In a speech last month, Tillerson brazenly called out the cap and trade agenda for what it was, an effort to impose a carbon tax camouflaged only by a slick sales pitch and deceptive rhetoric.
“It is easier and more politically expedient to support a cap-and-trade approach, because the public will never figure out where it is hitting them,” said Tillerson. “They will just know they hurt somewhere in their pocketbook,” he added, pointing out that he disagreed with this convoluted method of introducing a carbon tax, arguing instead that it would be more successful to openly propose a straight carbon tax.
Tillerson firmly expressed Exxon’s support for climate change alarmists in stating, “I firmly believe it is not too late for Congress to consider a carbon tax as the better policy approach for addressing the risks of climate change.”
Exxon’s push for a carbon tax was restated last week by its vice president for public affairs Ken Cohen, who told a conference call that he wants a climate policy that creates “certainty and predictability, which is why we advocate a carbon tax.”
Exxon Mobil and their ilk are not concerned about a carbon tax eating into their profits because they know they won’t have to pay it – the tab will be picked up by the ignorant taxpayer at the fuel pump at an inflated cost which if anything will hand the transnational oil cartels an even bigger cut.
Ideologically, Al Gore and Exxon Mobil are on exactly the same page – the only difference between the oil companies and global warming alarmists is the squabble over who will get to sink their teeth into the taxpayer and reap the dividends of the climate change scam.
Whereas parasites like Al Gore and Maurice Strong, the people who own the very carbon trading systems they claim will save the earth from CO2 emissions, want to enrich themselves to the tune of billions under a cap and trade scheme where they take a percentage of each transaction, the oil companies want to bypass this completely by simply imposing a direct CO2 tax. The consequence for the taxpayer under either scenario will be exactly the same, and the profits under both schemes would go towards filling the coffers of the global government that will enforce the whole scam.
Emphasizing again that oil companies are firmly behind the idea of man-made climate change and the introduction of a CO2 tax, in 2007 the Trilateral Commission, one of the three pillars of the new world order in alliance with Bilderberg and the CFR, met in near secrecy to formulate policy on how best they could exploit global warming fearmongering to ratchet up taxes and control over how westerners live their lives.
At the confab, European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, Bilderberger and chairman of British Petroleum Peter Sutherland, gave a speech to his elitist cohorts in which he issued a “Universal battle cry arose for the world to address “global warming” with a single voice.”
Echoing this sentiment was General Lord Guthrie, director of N.M. Rothschild & Sons, member of the House of Lords and former chief of the Defense Staff in London, who urged the Trilateral power-brokers to “Address the global climate crisis with a single voice, and impose rules that apply worldwide.” Rules that no doubt will benefit the Rothschild family empire due to their personal ownership of a huge chunk of the carbon trading market.
Allegations that skeptics of the man-made explanation behind global warming are somehow doing the bidding of the elite are laughable in the face of the fact that Rothschild operatives and the very chairman of British Petroleum are the ones orchestrating an elitist plan to exploit global warming fears in order to achieve political objectives.
During the 2007 meeting, elitists along with oil industry kingpins called for imposing a $1 dollar per gallon tax at the fuel pump under the justification of fighting pollution and climate change.
Globalists love global warming. Oil industry kingpins, Bilderbergers and Rothschild minions have all put their weight behind it. This is a fraud conceived, nurtured and promulgated by elite, and to castigate individuals for merely questioning the motives behind climate change fearmongering by accusing them of being mouthpieces for the establishment is a complete reversal of the truth.
Claims by climate change alarmists that “deniers” are all funded by oil companies is yet another crudely contrived hoax. In reality, oil companies are the most vocal proponents of man-made climate change and the most aggressive in pushing to tax CO2 emissions.

CO2 tax agenda front man lining his pockets on the back of global warming fearmongering
The New York Times has lifted the lid on how Al Gore stands to benefit to the tune of billions of dollars if the carbon tax proposals he is pushing come to fruition in the United States, while documenting how he has already lined his pockets on the back of exaggerated fearmongering about global warming.
As is to be expected, the article is largely a whitewash and takes an apologist stance in defense of Gore.
However, the NY Times‘ John M. Broder does reveal how one of the companies Gore invested in, Silver Spring Networks, recently received a contract worth $560 million dollars from the Energy Department to install “smart meters” in people’s homes that record (and critics fear could eventually regulate) energy usage.
“Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr. Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years,” states the report, highlighting the fact that Gore is “well positioned to profit from this green transformation, if and when it comes.”

Since he left office, Gore’s personal net worth has skyrocketed on the back of his advocacy for global warming issues and the financial dividends this has reaped. Gore’s assets totaled less than $2 million in 2001 and although he refuses to give a figure for his current net worth, a recent single investment of $35 million in Capricorn Investment Group, a private equity fund, illustrates just how fast Gore has enriched himself from his climate change bandwagon.
The Times report notes how Gore “has a stake in the world’s pre-eminent carbon credit trading market.” As we reported back in March, before he became President Barack Obama also helped fund the profiteers of the carbon taxation program that he is now seeking to implement as law.
The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) has direct ties to both Al Gore and Maurice Strong, two figures intimately involved with a long standing movement to use the theory of man made global warming as a mechanism for profit and social engineering. Gore’s investment company, Generation Investment Management, which sells carbon offset opportunities, is the largest shareholder of CCX.
Maurice Strong, who is regularly credited as founding father of the modern environmental movement, serves on the board of directors of CCX. Strong was a leading initiate of the Earth Summit in the early 90s, where the theory of global warming caused by CO2 generated by human activity was most notably advanced.
Both Strong and Gore come from the Club of Rome clique, who in their 1991 Report, “The First Global Revolution” openly admitted how they were planning to exploit the contrived hoax of global warming in order to further their agenda.
“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.,” they wrote.
Gore’s defense against claims that he is peddling fearmongering about global warming to get filthy rich, and one dutifully supported by the NY Times’ whitewash report, is that he is simply putting his money where his mouth is.
However, Gore’s insistence that he is walking the walk, not just talking the talk, doesn’t seem to extend to his own private life in the context of energy conservation and CO2 emissions. While lecturing the world about reducing CO2 emissions and saving energy, Gore’s own mansion uses 20 times the energy of the average American home.
In February 2007, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research revealed that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president’s 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours. These figures were not disputed by Gore.
“If this were any other person with $30,000-a-year in utility bills, I wouldn’t care,” said the Center’s 27-year-old president, Drew Johnson. “But he tells other people how to live and he’s not following his own rules.”

Laughter as dignitaries discuss making vaccine mandatory, tricking public into taking it
A recording of a recent Council On Foreign Relations symposium reveals attendees discussing ways and means of getting the public to take the H1N1 flu vaccine in spite of the mass resistance that has arisen due to questions over it’s safety.
The meeting was held in order to encourage a consensus for policy to present to the federal government concerning the so called swine flu pandemic.
In attendance were professors and doctors from several influential universities and medical schools, along with media representatives fromScience Magazine, The Canadian Press and The Financial Times.
Other notable attendees included Robert E. Rubin, Former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and current Co-Chair of the CFR, along with John Lange, Senior Program Officer of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Program.
During part of the discussion (see transcript) on whether or not the vaccine should be made mandatory for health workers and school children, Lone Simonsen, Research Professor and Research Director at the Department of Global Health, George Washington University, suggests creating an artificial scarcity in order to ramp up demand for the vaccine.
“I think what would work better would be to say that there was a shortage and people tend to buy more of something that’s in demand. (Laughter.) We saw that — there was one season where, really, people lined up all night to get a flu shot.” Simonsen says, much to the amusement of the other attendees at the symposium.

The audio is certainly very interesting given that the mainstream media is now rampantly hyping a shortage of the vaccine and stories are being published daily about thousands of people being turned away from clinics.
All this despite the fact that several scientific polls have recorded that upwards of 60% of Americans have said they do not want the shot because they believe it is unsafe and untested.
During another part of the discussion, Andrew Jack, Pharmaceutical Correspondent for the Financial Times compares people wary of the vaccine with political extremists:
“I think we’re all aware that the anti-vaccine movement is having a field day on the internet and on media outlets like Fox News, causing reductions in vaccine uptake and it appears to be a pretty unholy alliance of the ultra right and the ultra left working together in a sort of Hitler-Stalin pact.” Jack states, again raising chuckles amongst the other delegates.
“I’m not sure that we’re countering these people very well.” Jack concludes before suggesting that the CFR put out soundbites about there being more mercury in a Tuna sandwich than in the H1N1 vaccine in order to convince “the crazy people” that it is safe.
The fact is however, you do not directly inject a tuna sandwich into your bloodstream. Is it more likely that a two fold increase in autism over the last six years is directly related to thimerosal in vaccines or to tuna sandwiches?
Mr Jack suggests following the lead of the New York Times to dispel so called “myths” over the vaccine – not a wise move given that their paltry efforts have already been thoroughly debunked and overturned.

Health advisers who previously dismissed vaccine-autism link will “explain false alarms” to public when injuries “coincide” with shots
The U.S. government has appointed what the media is ludicrously billing as an “independent” group of health advisors whose job it will be to whitewash adverse reactions to the swine flu vaccine and “explain” them to the public as mere coincidence.
Authorities have been busier honing their propaganda about the H1N1 inoculation program than they have dealing with the actual rollout of the vaccine. A $16 million dollar campaign to coerce Americans into taking the shot is falling flat on its face with increasing numbers rejecting the necessity to take the shot amidst concerns about its side-effects.
As a result of the dangers of the H1N1 vaccine becoming widely known, authorities are moving to get out ahead of the story by acknowledging that millions of health problems in the aftermath of a vaccination campaign will be blamed on the vaccine, citing the 1976 swine flu debacle when the shot proved far deadlier than the actual virus.
Back In September, Reuters reported on how public health officials were expecting “an avalanche of so-called adverse event reports, which are reports of death, illness or other health trauma,” in the two weeks after people receive the vaccine.
“We are going to be overwhelmed with potential events,” said Mike Osterholm, a public health expert at the University of Minnesota.
Authorities therefore resolved to dismiss any connection to the swine flu shots a host of heart attacks, strokes and miscarriages that “will be blamed on the H1N1 vaccine”.
Now the government has accelerated these efforts by appointing a group of “independent” experts to “track the vaccine’s safety,” according to an Associated Press report.
The claim that the group is “independent” is a complete misnomer. How can a group appointed by and dictated its brief by the government be considered “independent”?
In addition, the group will be headed up by none other than Dr. Marie McCormick of the Harvard School of Public Health. McCormick and her affiliated organizations have routinely issued reports over the past 10 years supporting the government’s position on the link between vaccines and autism, dismissing a correlation entirely despite overwhelming evidence that contradicts this notion. McCormick has been widely criticized by other health experts for her dogged denial of the link between vaccines and autism.
So far from being “independent,” the group is in fact appointed by the government and lead by one of the government’s chief whitewash proponents in the context of vaccine dangers and side-effects.
The rollout of the vaccine has been limited to far fewer people than the government originally intended, partly due to a supply shortage and partly because more than half of Americans have refused to take the shot. The government’s efforts to dismiss concerns about side-effects will likely kick into high gear when more batches of the vaccine become available.
The media is framing concerns about side-effects by concentrating on health problems in the immediate aftermath of the vaccination, thereby providing them with the ammunition to dismiss concerns about side-effects altogether if few cases of death or injury occur. However, the real concerns about the dangers of vaccines do not revolve around skin rashes or minor ailments, they relate to the longer term effect of the build-up of toxic mercury in the body as well as squalene and the cancerous animal cells that are admittedly contained in the vaccine. Symptoms could therefore take months or even years to manifest, enough time for a connection to the swine flu shot to be forgotten in the public eye. Expect this to be exploited to the maximum by the “independent” experts the government has appointed to whitewash dangers associated with the vaccine
