Did anyone hear about the $1.56 gas on KLLY this morning?

So, I was listening to 95.3 KLLY on my way to work this morning and they said that there is a Chevron near Mesa Marin that will be having gas for $1.56 for some promotion...tomorrow, I think. They said it wasn't a joke but I haven't been able to find it anywhere so I am not sure.

Does anyone know anything about it?

Haven't heard but maybe you can call them to find out.

Kari, I think you misheard it. It said the clerk, who got a promotion and an extra $1.56 an hour, has gas....

Kari-

All you had to do was call the station. It was very easy.

Info:

Friday from 3-5PM

Gas is $1.56/gallon

Max. 15 gallons

Chevron off 178 at Mesa Marin

And you'll burn 3 gallons waiting in line...

Actually, it's sad that we're all excited about buck-fifty gas when it wasn't that long ago people were whining that gas went over a dollar per gallon.

Definately not worth it.  I wonder if they'll have any traffic cops out, as that's the worst place for such a promotion.

I am not going.....like someone I know said it will be like Walmart on the worst day possible and good luck in that timeframe to even get any unless maybe you sleep there and it is basically when major holiday traffic starts.

I just filled up yesterday, so I have no need to go. And yeah, I hope they thought ahead for security and traffic control.

It'll cost more, to set in that line then one will save.

Waiting for what will never come because by the time you get there, it'll be 5:00 PM

The time it takes in line would be better spent else where.

The gas it takes to get there and to run the air will take away any savings.

The heat will drive you into the store over and over to buy something to cool you off.

Yep,,, that $1.56/ga gas will cost you double in the long run.

Most likely, it'll be bottom of the tank gas with all the engine eaters in it. Cheaper to have the customers to pump it out rather than pay to have it done.

My car is full, my truck is full, my Wife's truck is on 1/4 but, it only gets 8 MPG in town like mine.  At least 4 gallons plus the gas to run the air.  Out of only 15 gallon limit, I'll be back on a 1/4 by the time I'd get home. The trucks hold 50 gallons,  so 15 gallons wouldn't be worth the trip.

To all of those that go, good luck suckers,,,, you'll need it. LOL

Oh yeah,,,,,,,,,,, if the see the Sheriff cars out there, they won't be buying gas, they'll be there to break up the stupid fights caused by the people not moving their cars ahead, taking to long or for the dirty looks.

Again, have fun children.

Not everyone will have to sit in line Murph. They have multiple pumps, so the first ones there can pull right up to them. HAHAHAHA.....
