What are the TV Shows that you can't wait to start?

September is generally the month that TV shows come back in full force. Sometimes I think my DVR is going to overload from all of the shows that are taped but you gotta love the DVR this month for when you are too busy to watch a show.

There are many new shows starting and new seasons starting for the old shows. My list for the ones I can't wait to start are: The Ex List -A new scripted series where a lady finds out one of her old boyfriends is the "one" and tries to figure out who it is, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Prison Break (which just started-had to add it), Samantha Who, The Office and My Own Worst Enemy- new show with Christian Slater.

Which ones are you waiting to start?

Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Private Practice! I wish they hadn't cancelled Back to You. I can't wait for these shows to start again -- especially Private Practice since that one has been sooo long since they showed a new episode.

House,  LOVE this show....then Heroes, the whole family enjoys this one, even my 10 year old, she really gets into this sci-fi

I too love the Big Bang Theory, especially Jim Parsons as Sheldon, he should get some kind of nod, he's hilarious as a nerd de jour .

Two and Half Men is pretty funny too, but I don't want the kids to watch it.

And I'll still watch Desperate Housewives, if I happen to catch it on Sundays.  Oh and Love Grey's Anatomy, but will miss her mom (she died)....she was scarily like my own. mom.

I really miss Crossing Jordan...I loved that show. I still watch the reruns on A&E.

Now that's a good show, PP. Don Cherry sure knows how to dress. Is he still on the show?

posted by ProgressivePete2 on Sep 5, 2008 at 01:16 PM

I'm pretty sure he is. I believe his stint with ESPN was just for the playoffs. He's one of those commentators that people either love or hate. I love him personally. It's great how he always gives tips to the kids about playing. What I'm not happy about at all is that they are changing the theme song.

I know he got into some trouble about five years ago (right after I left Canada) for his comments about European players in the NHL. I thought he might come across as too crude for polite Canadian audiences.

The Office, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, Lost and America's Next Top Model (which already started).

My TV has been so lonely this summer!

Heroes, The Office, Doctor Who (we don't get much this year), Battlestar Galactica (whenever that will be back) and World Cup qualifying (really gets going this weekend).

Hate to break it to you CityBeat, but there will be no new Doctor Who except for a few specials until 2010. They're taking next year off to let DT pursue other acting options like the production of Hamlet he was just in and to change to a new production team. I'm not sure if SciFi will be showing the specials as they air or queueing them all up to show in 2010 before the regular episodes like they have done with the past several Christmas specials.

As for the fall season, every year I have to make a chart of each day of the week and write down the shows along with when they premiere or I forget to watch them. My chart is quite full this year, so I'll just give the new shows whose promos have peeked my interest. Those are My Own Worst Enemy, Fringe, The Mentalist, Knight Rider, Eleventh Hour and Sanctuary. As you can tell, my interests are primarily sci-fi shows, heh.

My favorite show has already started--Project Runway!  Other than that, I don't watch much TV.  My husband primarily watches the Sci-Fi channel and The History Channel, so I read my book. ; )

House, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Old Christine,  Desperate Housewives, Swingtown and Weeds. Time to dust off the DVR since I only watch TV after 9pm on special nights.  I just finshed the last season of Grey's Anatomy last night. lol

Grey's Anatomy, Two and a Half Men, and maybe Desperate Housewives, depending on how that five-year fast-forward gimmick goes.

Dexter, MNF, The Office, Big Love.
