****FOUND MALE DACHSHUND****

If you have lost your sweet little dachshund...he is with me.  I found him east of Gosford on Kroll.  If you know of someone that has lost their dog, please refer them to this site.  Either way, get in touch with me so this little guy can go home to his family.

Take a peek at the classified lost ads and check on craigslist to see if anyone has posted an ad for a lost dachshund. Good luck, and thank you for picking him up and getting him safely out of harm's way.

bako:  Well thanks for the thanks :o) ... I can't ever recall just leaving a lost dog, it's just not my nature.  I've already contacted the paper and posted an add on craigslist.  I walked the streets around where I found him, knocking on peoples doors, etc.  I left my name & number with a gentleman in case he sees posters going up this evening or sometime soon.  I just thought this would be another great avenue to reach out to any of you that may hear of something....or maybe even the owner being a blogger.

I know you're an animal lover, so from one to the other...thanks for your concern & advice.

Take him to a vet to scan for a microchip -- that will give info on his owner.  Thanks for taking care of the little guy!

I absolutely love it when people go out of their way to help.  You all have put warm fuzzies in my heart ~ corny? yes, but true!  Thank you foodjunkie.

We found a male dachshund a few months back, and after two or three days we finally got a call from the Laurelglen area.  A gardener had let it out.  This dog seem to have health issues, if my memory serves me correctly, it had back surgery previously.  Thought it was strange that they didn't call sooner from the ad.  On day 3 we took it to the pound, when the owner called, I sent her to pick it up.  It would have been cheaper for her had she called quicker.

Found the owners.....they had him down to a "T" ~ thank goodness & hip, hip, hooray!   Charlie had it good for the day, nice cool home, treats, chicken breast for dinner....but he was still happy to see "mom!"  I just love happy endings :o)

Reminder to people, keep your tags current and if your dog chews them, make sure you get new ones.  Thanks goodness I was able to read a portion of the number and return him back to his loving home.  My reward?  Just seeing them excited to have their Charlie back.  Oh yes, I've got that happy satisfaction that he's home now with his true family...I know I would be heartbroken if it was one of my dogs.

foodjunkie: were you riding around the neighborhood with a baby in tow?
