As a proud Bakersfield native, I was appalled to learn of a local band that promotes Satanic behavior. My son went to a music concert of Dead Aisling last week, and out of curiosity, I Google.com searched the group and found they’re Myspace.com page and couldn’t believe my eyes. There are pictures of the boys in shirts with an occult symbol and an upside-down cross. I did some more digging and found out that the group is violent and dangerous and has even been banned from several local clubs! When my son returned, he showed me portions of video that he shot at the concert and the main singer (who according to website is named Adam Richmond) said the Pope is a nazi!! As members of the Christian community, we need to speak out about bands like this! This is what our children are listening too, and being influenced by! As a concerned Christian, I urge you to write letters to the Bakersfield Californian denouncing this band, letters to Vinny’s Bar on East Union, the club where they play the most, and most importantly, pray for the kids in the band and their followers!
