The North of the River Chamber of Commerce is holding a free Oildale Business Mixer from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the historic Oildale Bank, 1301 North Chester Ave.

It’s a chance for people to meet other business owners and hear about Oildale Centennial activities.

I hope they consider a broom campaign where brooms are handed out to shop owners with full instructions on how to use them.  A little NOR pride is missing from much of Oildale businesses.

Are the Business Unions meetings open to the general public?

Don’t let Inga barks into the meetings. You now how she hates business Unions. Well to be fair she hates unions of all types.

I certainly hope the Business Unions will address the complaints of socialism overtaking the business environment in our dear Oildale
