Nonsense,

You can't send a package to somewhere unknown.

People don't have magnetic strips.

The strip reader can't tell the difference between my Visa Card and my Albertsons discount card.

UPS Left a 100 tablet bottle of 100/650 darvocet on my front door porch. Right where a child or illegal could have walked up and taken them.

TK..you didn't take that seriously did you?    The reference was that if you sent a package to an illegal you could track the package..not the person.  It would lead you to the illegal.    Have a chuckle on me.

BTW..UPS  left my repaired computer on my front porch once too.  No signature required.  Good thing it made it to me or there's would have been hell heck to pay.

There...cleaned that up for me.

Good points Newt makes. Sage.  First ,stop those coming it.  second, find those illegals already here.  third, send those back to Mexico who have committed a crime (except coming here) or do not have a  job or someone to support them. 4.  Give Green cards to the rest and require them to become citizens within 10 years or they will be deported.  End of problem. End of game.

Nancy,

The standard republican reference to government ineptness perturbs me to no end. The suggestion that the solution is to privatizes, ridiculous.

Don't forget. The government put out the contract. But it was private industry that billed for the 400 dollar hammer. It was a government employee that uncovered the fraud.

It is private industry that is hiring the illegal. The sad story that an employer can not recognize the illegal, is bunk, in an overwhelming number of cases.

There is no need to go to the Lowe's/7/11 parking lot to find an employee. There are private industry and Union hiring halls that will check the validity of a employees status. Private industry is not the solution. They are the problem.

If Bakersfield had a border Patrol agent for every WalMart security guard in town. We would have the solution. But then that would be big government, haunting Capitalism.

By the way. I did see the humor. I did get a chuckle. But this is a serious subject. It is anti patriotic in my view. To degrade government employees.

Tk...I'm not sure what you're talking about degrading government workers.  What I got out of part of that is that there is something seriously wrong with a system that can't recognize the 42 people are using the same SS #.

I use a program that, when I enter a persons name twice, has a window pop up and tell me "XXXXX is already scheduled for this time, do you want to continue?"  That keeps me from saying someone was in the same group at the same time two times and prevents billing twice for the same service.

My grandson was in sales at one time and traveled frequently.  The credit card company called me and asked if he was home.  I told them he was in San Francisco and they told me someone had used his card # in Las Vegas at the same time he was checking in to his hotel in SF.  Even credit card companies have the ability to know when a number is being used more than once at the same time.

Now.  Are you saying that this government doesn't have the capability to recognize that the same SS # is being used more than once by different people on different jobs?

This puzzles me.

Newt knows the system recognizes that 42 people are using the same SS #'s. He got that information from the system operators. The government.

Newt doesn't say when or how the ID's were being used. It could have been 41 different computer submissions for a credit card. All using a different name and address. All in the same evening. On a Sunday night.

The problem is that the information is not being submitted in a time frame that can be beneficial to law enforcement. And the information that is submitted, is fraudulent.

Put a 7 day hold on the authorization of a credit card or a Mortgage. Tell me how the private sector would scream.

You can't just go out and arrest wily nily. Most likely one of the users is legitimate.

when i worked at check city in vegas, our program we used had a social security number validator on it. if you entered in a number, and it wasn't a real SS# a screen would  pop up and say *invalid social security number* therefore rendering us unable to cash a check or hand out a payday loan. it was a very simple program, it fascinates me that a small payday loan company that only has stores in 3 states has that technology but very few major businesses have it... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Cass, in this case, the number was real. The information collected by who.  I don't know.  But it wasn't the Federal government.  It could just as well have been an insurance company as a drug store.  It may or may not have been for employment. That's the problem I have with Newt's video.

We got a piece of the information.

He denigrated public employees, for a political agenda.

Roy~relax,I guess you failed to notice JOKE or misunderstood my use of it~my response was a joke.Newt is Newt,I thought he was being humorous ,while making his point  and with NancyII's attack or Enjoy remark I was trying to have fun...sigh.

By the way my stance is illegals should go,with one caveat:if a person has been here 5 years, fully employed,no criminal background, they should be on a fast track to citizenship if they so wish ~otherwise bye bye. Thanks for asking what I thought.
