Hi Nancy~ I have been watching this madness unfold and yes, I am yet again, reminded of how lucky we all are to live here. We can fight, claw, nit pick a point to death and then sit down to share a drink... maybe not even poisoned ;-P

Perhaps it is "Africa" burn out~ every time you turn around another nut job,I mean dictator, is pulling this stuff....the Continent seems always in turmoil. See that film "War Dance" to get another perspective folks. We should care about Africa~ desperate people and all that. posted by

Sage hit the nail on the head. It's constant turmoil over there; same old s***, just in a different place. I don't know what the oil situation is in sub-Saharan Africa, but if there are no oilfields - which is more than likely the case, or our troops would be over there - it would explan the lack of interest not only on this board, but across the country as well. posted by

Sad but true. I've been following this for a while now but one of my reasons for posting it now was the mention of the UN and how worthless I think they are. Some disagreed with my assessment the other day. posted by

The UN has it's problems~mostly because it is composed of nations who are more worried about jockeying to the "top spots". I agree in principal about the idea of a United Nations, using world scorn and sanctions is a great idea~ if we all got on board as a world, sadly,we do not. posted by

Someone attacked a duck in bakersfield !!! You have to think in priorities.... I`m really surprised that anyone in B Village could spell " Zimbabwe"...And why would the UN be called in to " contain" this corruption ?...Give Halliburton some contracts there and Bingo... posted by

Maggie is just mad because Halliburton turned him down in no uncertain terms when he applied for a job there a few years ago: They kicked him in the nuts and threw him through a plate glass window, ala Axel Foley. He just hasn't found the strength to get over it... posted by

Halliburton doesn't suffer fools JBS (gladly or otherwise) Thus they would never hire a MaggieP or even a reasonable facsimile thereof......... posted by
