Really Useful Fitness Tips

1. Never Diet. Instead, devise a simple and balanced "Eating Plan."

2. Eat smaller portions, and don't go back for seconds.

3.Reprogram your thought process to view food as fuel, not as pleasure.

4. Eliminate high fat and high sugar foods from your menu.

5. Drink plenty of water. 3.0 ltrs. a day for men, and 2.2 ltrs. for women.

Bakersfield Athlete/ Trainer On The Go

Besides appearing almost nightly in Indoor Cycling classes all over town, and inside his Personal training Studio daily with clients getting healthy and fit, local cyclist and ultra-endurance athlete Joe Petersen can be found delivering a message of hope for "Healthier Tomorrows" for the children of Kern County. Joe will be speaking on March 6th at the Bakersfield Ed. Center for the "One Book Bakersfield..One Kern" event being held there at 10:00 AM. The selections of "FAST FOOD  NATION" , and "CHEW ON THIS" have given all of us "food" for thought. As parents, we owe it to our children to teach them the way to a healthier and fitter existence, and a better quality of life.

Joe is also appearing in the Black Gold Productions of "THE ROYAL BACHELOR" sponsored by the SJV Chapter American Petroleum Institute. "The Royal Bachelor" is a musical comedy that has something for everyone. The last two performances are Friday March 7th and Saturday March 8th at the Norris Road Veterans Hall on 400 W. Norris Road. Doors open at 5:30 for Dinner and the play begins promptly at 7:00 PM. Proceeds for this event support the "AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY". As this is Joe's first, (and quite possibly last) stage appearance as an Actor/Singer/Dancer, This is one show you shouldn't miss ! ! ! Call Mike Handren at 661-330-1423 for tickets or information.
