K.C. Fair entry forms due tomorrow (Photography)
I feel guilty about abandoning this blog again, so I'm back to remind all the amateur photographers out there that if you want to enter your pictures in the fair, the entry forms are due by tomorrow. Apparently, now you can enter online, but you can also do it by mail, fax or drop it off in person still. I have always done it by mail, but I may be doing it online this year, depending on whether I can figure out how it works. Has anyone already entered? Go to KernCountyFair.com if you didn't get the magazine in the mail and don't have the entry form. You should be able to figure out how to do it yourself, but if you have any questions you can always ask me. This will be my third year entering, but it will be my first year in the adult category. Exciting! By the way, the pictures I have posted are not the pictures I'm going to enter in the fair; they are random pictures I took recently while working on my night photography. 4 comments from 2 users

Choosing which division to put your pictures in is the hardest part of the whole thing. I am never sure whether I'm going to have the right category or not. What kind of rainbow picture is it? Is there any type of landscape in it? If it does you might be able to put it in there. If it's in Kern County, you could probably put it in there, too. My best bet would be going into the nature and wildlife for a rainbow. A rainbow counts as nature, right? I'm never really sure about these things, so I try to discuss them with someone and see what others have to say about different categories for a picture. Are there any other categories for it, do you think? Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I am posting this now so you'll see it in the morning -- just in case I don't get back online by the time you send in your form. Oh, and thanks! I don't think I'll enter that leaf picture, but I liked it too. It's too bad the sprinklers scared me away from getting a picture of the roses at night. That would have a been a neat one, but I was afraid I'd get water all over my camera. I'll get back online sometime tomorrow and hopefully I'll get back to your e-mail someday soon. Sorry about that. I always forget about my e-mails because I'm on the laptop a lot more than the XP I'm on right now. posted by

Thanks Robin, just got back from the fairgrounds, I put the rainbow under nature. Again, thank you so much for the reminder, otherwise, I would have totally forgotten to enter!
