Join us during the month of October (Thurs.-Sat.) out at Fruitvale-Norris Park, where people of all faiths and political leanings (grinning) can agree to enjoy a night of fright and insanity!

Talladega Frights (the haunted attraction on Norris Rd. in Bakersfield) occupies 23,000 sq. ft. this year and should take approximately 20 minutes to get through (unless you back up too many times, then it will take longer).

There are four themed areas (separate "haunts") to scare you, each of them designed realistically as independent, free-standing buildings

For free tickets to opening night, join our Facebook page.

To read the scary stories about what made our four areas haunted to begin with, please see our Web page and click on "backstories."

(*purchase tickets online and a portion goes back to your local high school)

Greetings, Kern County residents!

Just dropping in to announce that once again, we are working on bringing Bakersfield another great haunted attraction for 2009.

In May, we started re-building what now occupies 23,000 square feet of land at NOR's Fruitvale-Norris Park. New for this year are four areas: The Drakemore Hotel, Black Sally, Green River Asylum, and Hillbilly Hell.

To get the most out of your money and to maximize your experience, please click the individual links above (or go HERE), where you can read the "back stories" for each of these new areas.

Also online, you can now pre-order your tickets and, in doing so, $1.00 from each ticket will go directly to the local high school of your choice. Simply enter your school's code (found on the Web site, but is usually the school's name).

The haunt is open Thurs., Fri. and Sat. nights through October, and will open Monday-Sat. the week of Halloween.

Take a tour, and then let us know what you think!

Happy Haunting!
