Berkeley
I have had it with the psychos in our country. Why is it that cities like San Francisco and Berkeley harbor so much hatred towards the great principles of our country?! Maybe it is our fault for voting for those who don't effectively support our American principles. When cities and schools speak out so harshly against the brave youth in our military I want to puke. I am so sick of the pessimism directed towards the United States, and I am speaking mostly of the pessimism that is generated from within. We need to return to honoring our country and those who sacrifice their lives and time for its causes. I am not talking about politicians. I am talking about those who choose to serve and try to maintain what our country is supposed to stand for. I am just blabbing on here with no structure, but I feel like my mind is going to explode if we don't unite and call for a return to our country's values and principles. 6 comments from 6 users

Truth Hurts, you are right, being able to voice one's opinion IS American. But, trying to kick army recruiters off of a campus, trying to BAN them from a public place is absolutely UN-American. I am sure things like this have happened in America before, but it is NOT AMERICAN. And I also believe that our leaders are not working by American principles, like you said as well. It is a huge disappointment and it must be fixed. That's why this election is so important...or was anyways. R.F., I have learned to take whatever you post on blogs and vomit on it, then stomp on it awhile. After washing off my shoes, I shovel it up and throw it in toilet where I just..... Ophelia, if you don't know what our country stands for then get off the computer and go read a book. Don't act like a retard. Nickwit...I appreciate your apathetic response. Just what we need. posted by

As soon as our leaders start working by American principles I will be glad to. Voicing their opinion and not supporting an unjust war...what part of that is UN-American? I am very grateful for our brothers and sisters in the armed forces but I will never say I am proud of what they are doing in Iraq. Being able to voice ones viewpoint is a staple of American principles and I'm very sad that you can't grasp that. posted by
