Amazing Obama Video
Wow. This is probably one of the best ads ever, political or otherwise. Not sure what else to say about it. Anyone going out tomorrow night to watch the returns come in? Any hot spots to watch the numbers come in? 15 comments from 8 users

The way they do it with Obama in black and white with the people singing and reciting the words makes his speech feel like a historic article. I got the feeling that 30 years from now there would be grade school kids performing this speech in competitions. Actually, I've been saying for months that Obama will be the next President based on numbers and trends. Watching this is the first time I ever knew it for sure. posted by

Thanks, Sage. Let me know if you hear anything about events. If I don't hear something by tonight, I'll try to put something together. posted by

Some of the links are crashing, so I added a second version. If the first one doesn't work, try the next one. posted by

Bush's (last, thank God) State of the Union was one delivered by a President with a 31% approval rating to a Congress with an 18% approval rating---not much higher than a snake's belly. Yeah, I'd vote for Obama, even if he had Hillary on the ticket. posted by

Looking forward to voting for Obama tomorrow. As a life-long Declines To State, this will be the first primary I've ever gotten to vote for a person. Latest polls say Obama has closed the gap on Hillary. Hope it's true. posted by

It works for me. It's brilliant. Beautiful people, beautiful song. But is it/he all one big myth? He would have to be Jesus Christ himself to be able to live up to the myth. Still, I'd rather risk being sold a dream that leads to collosal dissillusionment and disappointment than having to see and hear 4 to 8 years of a President Hillary with all of her insincerity manipulation, and sinister machinations. All the video needs is Huckabee playing with the band. The dream ticket for me, would be Huckabee/Obama. posted by

Doc, the myth that you're talking about isn't embodied in him. This is why his slogan is "Yes We Can". He's talking about creating conditions where people and businesses can thrive. posted by

I don't want to rain on his parade. If he can accomplish that, more power to him. Unfortunately, the Clintons will crush him with innuendoes before he ever gets a chance to try. posted by

We'll see, Doc. I think Obama knocks it out of the park tomorrow. There are no "winner take all" states for Democrats tomorrow, but I think he'll win more than he loses and be ahead in the delegate count by tomorrow night. posted by

Actually, Tom, I was just having a rare moment of pessimism. I think Obama will take it. The mood of the country, and the momentum is on his side. It will surprise some, but if they've been looking at the writing on the wall, it shouldn't come as a surprise. The real surprise will be just how wide the margin will be that will make Obama the candidate. I won't vote for him as president, but if I had to choose between Obama and Hillary, well, the choice is clear. Hillary is not only woefully incompetent on multiple levels, but she uses her incompetence for manipulative purposes.
