Well... my stay in Bakersfield has finally come to an end. I am back in Los Angeles, and so this is going to be my last blog entry. Kinda seems fitting though with Obama's victory. I think im just gonna sit back and watch for a while now.

As for Obama winning, I gotta say that for the first time in a long time I have had hope for this country of mine. It showed that we as a people are willing to learn from our mistakes, at least temporarily. It also showed the world that "we the people" are still this country, not the neo-con hate mongers. Obama is no Kerry, Clinton, or Gore. McCain is closer to any of them in my opinion. Obama is something truly new, and we are going to see some amazing things.

As for prop 8.. I am pretty sure that the supreme court is going to overturn it, but like I said in previous posts, California has spoken and while I disagree with them, I believe they have the right to decide, so I will support it's legality. I would like some of you out there to remember this when deciding how you feel about local vs federal medical marijuana.

And on an end note... I just want to say that it has been fun getting to know all of you. Randomfactor and gopher.... dude you guys make me laugh. Spartan.... dead on my brodah. Pete, hotnfog and h8.. keep up the good work too. Maggie (scarecrow).... lol im gonna miss you most of all. Acta, nancy2, murphy, sioux, catpaw and the rest... I am gonna miss you all too, though not in the same way :P

Oh and ApolloDawn.... if you are even 1/2 as beautiful outside as you are in, I wanna meet you :P

OK thats it.. I feel the overwhelming urge to say something controversial so.... I guess remember that the ONLY threat to freedom is from ourselves. Period. Good luck all.

ok... so I first I gotta thank RF for the link. I was just checking it out on his blog and thought I would put it on mine too just cause it is so damn relevant,.

Why, if prop 8 was even remotely just, would the yes on 8 campaign need to blatantly lie to persuade people. Churches losing tax exemption? Marriage being taught in schools? Total horsecrap. They might as well add christian children being molested by gay liberal illegal immigrants. They are liars, and if you support their campaign you are supporting the worst kind of yellow journalism and brainwashing. Regardless of your thoughts on gay marriage, everyone should see that if we can so easily fall pray to such utter BS we have much bigger problems.

First let me say that this has nothing to do with why I am voting for Obama. But there is a HUGE side benefit here. There will be something that I feel will be in the hearts of most Americans, not just black people, not just minorities, but the great majority of us. A feeling that the promise of equality for all is no longer just a promise. The feeling of pride from knowing that a country founded on the premise of "all men are created equal" has finally after all these years lived up to its creed.

I think it will be an inspiration to many who need to be inspired. A moment of beauty for those who thought they would never see it come. And ultimately (i know this sounds cheesy but it is true) a promise of hope for every single one of us who strives for equality.

ok so I just recently got a new motorcycle. I havent biked in 8 years, since my early 20s, but I am loving it. 50 mpg and it sure is more fun than a prius. But I have noticed some things about drivers and motorcycles that really intrigue me, and I figured I would get some feedback.

First off....  does it annoy you when a motorcycle rides up through stopped traffic to the front? Do you take this as them "cutting in line"?

Second... do you find the noise of streetbikes bothersome? Groups or single bikes?

Third (this is for you bikers)...  Have you ever noticed how EVERY biker waves at EVERY other biker on the road?  I rode to LA a few days ago and every single bike going the other way gave me the low wave, which I of course returned.

now, on a side note. If you have been thinking about getting a motorcycle like I was and aren't sure, let me just say that I am having SO much fun. If i want, the speed is there, but mostly it is just a low growl cruise with the wind on my face and a soaring feeling that makes commuting fun again.

At this point I am pretty convinced the Obama won this election. I am so happy that the majority of people out there see that these times need a logical and intellectually curious human being in the white house, and I am sorry but someone who has yet to learn how to use a computer could hardly be called intellectually curious.

I am thinking back to the LIE that got us involved in Iraq. The abuse of power from the neo cons and the American sheep that flocked to the bulls**t. I remember, even though it was obviously incorrect information to the UN and the smart ones at home, the media was backing this WMD story (probably just for ratings but I am not completely writing out an agenda). Patriotism led us to do a great, savage injustice in the form of the Iraq war. 300,000 dead, and not one of them had anything to do with the WTC.

So I just wanted to congratulate those of you who spoke out against these ignorant redneck tyrants. Against the tyrany of he with the biggest guns. We are going to have a president that called the Iraq war exactly what it was... bulls**t. The world will see this as our apology. Our intolerance for the small minded bravado that destroyed our world image reflected in our replacement. Our government is ours again!

Some people are just too stupid to vote, and this add targets them pretty well probably.

I find it funny that so many republicans claim to be pro small government and yet they endorse spending billions on globalization efforts and legeslating consumables.

It is funny how few people realize that Al Queda would have never attacked us if it weren't for our globalization efforts.
