Believers are better able to cope with illnesses.
A couple of new studies confirm that believers are better able to cope with illnesses. Since they seem better equipped to deal with depression and stress. http://health.usnews.com/ar... http://www.americanheart.or...

How right they are. As you may or may not know, I have spent most of the past 8 years in a VA hospital fighting for my life with agressive Cancers. Today I have Bone Cancer and Adreanel Gland Cancer. I have also Lung, Liver, Prostrate, and Stomach Cancer. These were a result of Radiation Exposure when I was a Marine out in the Marshall Island Bomb Tests. Now, please, do not feel bad for me for I am at Peace and Ready To Go. Pray for those who do not have salvation. I have seen these and that is what I want to talk about. When in the Hospitals, I am placed in a ward with other patients of whom many die. I have witnessed the agony and misery of the nonbeliever against the peacefulness of the Christian as they leave this life. This goes for familly members as well. I am not a Catholic but one of my favorite persons is a Priest in San Francisco who has 8 adopted children. He is also the visiting Priest at Fort Miley VA hospital. I have been there many times for Cancer Surgery and he always comes by to vist with me and we say Lords Prayer together and we can hear the moans and groans of fellow ward members who are too hardened of heart to find any peace however I have also seen some ward members ask to speak with him and that gives me hope that he can help one more go to meet his maker with tears of joy and not sorrow and grief. Death is certain and for some it is sooner. My Christian thoughts are reflective in grave illness and trauma and joyful at Death as it will bring no more suffering but eternal life. Had I not been a Christian, I would have agonized myself to a miserable death 8 years ago. I owe my Peace to God and my Comfort to one of his servants, A loving San Francisco Priest. God bless you. posted by
