Global Warming not a Hoax
The Evidence Keeps Getting Stronger
(and the news keeps getting worse)
Researchers at MIT do not have good news. The earth is changing and warming faster than predicted. web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2009/roulette-0519.html They say it had been predicted that there would be a 4 degree Farenheit increase in global temperature by 2100 but now the prediction is more like 10 degrees. Two hundred idiots voted against the Waxman-Markey bill in the House of Representatives the other day because they didn't think the situation was serious enough to take action or they put politics above common sense. A few others voted against the bill because they correctly thought it was not strong enough. The people who should be locked up were the ones who voted no because they still believe climate change to be a hoax.

Man made global warming is a hoax. Let's just say it was real....nothing in that Bill is going to stop it. Having the government pimp you like Ho's isn't going to do a damn thing to stop "Man made global warming". The sun goes through cycles & humans exploit other humans weakness's. from the article you linked:
Because vehicles last for years, and buildings and powerplants last for decades, it is essential to start making major changes through adoption of significant national and international policies as soon as possible,
Good timing MIT/CIA propagandist. Just as the Climate fraud bill gets major steam. And I am the one you guys call a fear monger?

Man-caused global climate change is a fact. It's 9/11 conspiracy theory that's the hoax. You're always getting those backwards. posted by

9/11 was an inside job & man made global warming is complete BS. . All you have are lame straw man arguments & weak debunking tactics.

Man-caused global climate change is a fact. because yer boys in the EPA and CARB tell you so? gullible...like the herd of buffalo following its leader off the cliff..... with all the debate regarding this topic, that statement of yours shows your ignorance, and your blind loyalty to ANYTHING any demigod on the left has to say RF to his grandkids, "yeah, when Nancy Pelosi spoke, I listened"

As with everything, it's the choices one makes that determine just what your future will be. I pick the Wolfpack faction of the New World Order, because Kevin Nash is just better than Hulk Hogan when it comes to rocking the mike. Even if global warming is debunked, humanity cannot afford to keep doing what it's doing to the planet. My problem with all these restrictions is that it doesn't get the up-and-comers on board. That said, however... and I'm sure this will get tons of those recursive jingoistic articles from Infowars and Prison Planet... Germany has done a good job at balancing "going green" with industry. I'm against carbon trading because at the heart of it, it encourages industries to simply buy credits to remain inefficent. But that's all just a conspiracy by Sting to make sure that the evil banker Scott Hall hits Dallas Page over the head with a stop sign. posted by

because yer boys in the EPA and CARB tell you so? No, because the vast, near-unanimous view of climatologists tell me so. Most of them are outside California and outside the US. . Then the simple solution is to do what the cavemen did 10000 years ago to solve their climate change problem... Why, yes, that would be simple. But *THAT* "simple solution" involved the death of the majority of human beings in the world. I'd like something a little less lethal to solve the problem. posted by

That was an earlier ice-age than the one RonM was asking about, but the typical human response to dramatic climate change is death. In the 70000-year-old case, near extinction. If we melt the clathrates, we'll reach that point. posted by

We need only travel one planet over to Venus to see what unfettered greenhouse gasses can do to a world. Personally, I would rather err on the side of caution than to keep polluting. It seems only prudent. posted by

Paul Krugman:"Thus researchers at M.I.T., who were previously predicting a temperature rise of a little more than 4 degrees by the end of this century, are now predicting a rise of more than 9 degrees. Why? Global greenhouse gas emissions are rising faster than expected; some mitigating factors, like absorption of carbon dioxide by the oceans, are turning out to be weaker than hoped; and there’s growing evidence that climate change is self-reinforcing — that, for example, rising temperatures will cause some arctic tundra to defrost, releasing even more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Temperature increases on the scale predicted by the M.I.T. researchers and others would create huge disruptions in our lives and our economy. As a recent authoritative U.S. government report points out, by the end of this century New Hampshire may well have the climate of North Carolina today, Illinois may have the climate of East Texas, and across the country extreme, deadly heat waves — the kind that traditionally occur only once in a generation — may become annual or biannual events. " From here .
