A: Plans for a small, 4.5 acre commercial development on the northwest corner of Highway 178 and Comanche Drive will go to the Bakersfield Planning Commission on Sept. 20, according to city planner Marc Gauthier.
According to Gauthier, the “shopping center” description might be a bit grandiose for the proposed project.
While the developers have proposed some retail space, the majority of the project’s land will be dedicated to building a gas station, he said.
