What's happening to the huge empty lot on Oak Street?

A: That lot, at the 500 block of Oak Street, is owned by Catalina Barber Corp., according to the County Assessors Recorders Office.
It was listed as a service shop for the car dealership, which also used the extra space to hold cars, said Jeff Graham, chief residential appraiser of the department. The service shop was torn down this year.
According to the City Planning Department, a site plan review application has not been filed to develop the empty lot, meaning it will be several months before anything new is built there.
