What's the building on the east side of Young Street north of Harris Road?
Location: Young Street and Harris Road, Bakersfield, CA

Q: There appears to be a high-security building on Young Street, just north of Harris Road on the east side of the street.  It is located just behind the Sam's Club in southwest Bakersfield.  What is it?
--Don Kurtz

A: It’s a Verizon Wireless communications and administrative building, said Jim Eggert, principal planner for the city of Bakersfield.

He added Verizon wants to add a 120-foot-tall cellular tower near its facility. City planning has requested the tower featured some camouflaged elements.

The company is working through the approval process for the tower with the city, Eggert said.

Yeah..those fake trees really look good don't they?  (tongue in cheek)    The big cross at the church on New Stine and Belle Terrace doesn't look too bad.

Would it still look good if it was a Crescent?
